For anyone who’s traveling alone, NEVER SAY YOU ARE ALONE. She probably just said the truth cause she was scared or nervous. But you should ALWAYS lie! Make them think people are near you or expecting you. Its also good to know the locations of any police stations in the city/town you’re in. If someone’s following you, don’t walk home, walk to the police.

As a woman just beginning to stream, this is my worst fear. I literally had to move last year due to my neighbor forcing his way into my house, him leaving notes on my doorstep, ADMITTING to me that he bought binoculars just to watch me through my blinds, climbing onto my bedroom balcony to smoke cigarettes at night (he knew I disliked the smell), and admitting to me that he stole my underwear from the shared laundry at the complex. The property managers did nothing to help and neither did the police. It blows my mind that people don't take stalkers seriously. To this day, he still stalks my social media and uses generated numbers to try to contact me. I refuse to let this stop me from pursuing a passion with streaming, though. Women shouldn't have to live in fear. tuvington, btw
please remember this now that you know, tho. it's a tactic many women use when they are desperate. I have been both people in the situation (approached someone who looked safe and also been approached.) we do this when we have already tried other options and are afriad. so if someone approaches like this, play along, look around for who they might be ditching, stay calm, and make sure they have a safe exit.
I did that once for a girl at a club. back then I was awkward and weird, but she obviously didn't know when she needed help. Later I saw her a few times that night and noticed that she was steering clear of me. I must have also come off as creepy. Lol. I don't blame her. Gotta stay safe.
Being a woman alone in Japan seems like an absolute nightmare. Even if you live in a peaceful town it seems that a lot of people turn a blind eye to public assault. Especially in this video we can see a lot of the women went up to foreign men for help instead of other Japanese people.
additional reason for witnesses (bystanders etc.) not helping the victim is the shame-centered culture. all social interactions are very structured, minimal in outward expression and either black or white. the community is above any individual, opposite to e.g. USA.

I don't think she was being nice, she was clearly clowning on them on live stream. She didn't have enough situational awareness as an adult in an adults body that the situation had gone south when they were asking her if she was alone. Time to stop being nice there - DO NOT GIVE MIXED MESSAGES, esp to guys who clearly have no concept of consent. Myself and my wife have taught our daughter how to do this and she would have contained this situation easily.
Its so upsetting to see all these female streamers trying to have fun and maybe make a living out of something they enjoy, and see so many assholes traumatizing them. I was in a similar situation to the beach one. Me (a 15 yr old) and my 16 yr old friend were just laying on the beach and a man who seemed to be drunk or on drugs just started talking to us. He then mumbled something to his friend and started coming towards us. We both instinctively got up and went to a random group of teens and pretended to know them. That’s the best way to handle it. Other teen girls will understand and play along. Stay safe ✨

The ptsd that can come from a stalker is immense, I know someone who despite her stalking incident ending a decade ago she still lives in fear, things that seem inconspicuous or random to the general population suddenly becomes threatening and malevolent. Things like a pizza getting sent to your house on accident can feel like a stalker taunting you all over again.

when my friend and i were 13 she was stalked and harrassed (verbally and physically) by her ex boyfriend a year older than us. but it was "her fault" for going out with someone so violent in the first place. when i was 16 i was stalked by a guy who had a crush on me, but "he's shy and thats his way of showing affection". idk who you are or what youve done, but being stalked is not on you and its a terrifying and dangerous scenario that needs to be taken more seriously.

As a father bear, I take active involvement in progressive discussions with my teenage daughter about things like consent and assertion. You're not as helpless in those situations as you may believe, and men like that are easily intimidated, ESPECIALLY by women. Take agency and initiative, and develop tactics to make THEM afraid and handle them like no-ones business.

i remember when this random dude followed me with his car and asked for my snap (we were right next to my house, and according to him hes 'seen you entering that house, so i know that ones yours') so in fear i gave him my snap, he used to text me saying stuff like "i saw you at -grocery store, i loved your outfit" so i started to igbore him but not block (cause he knew where i lived) and i was still in school at that time so i had a routine in the morning and he caught onto it and started parking down the street when id wait at the bus stop, i blocked him, and received a note demanding i unblock him, i finally told my mum bc i just couldnt handle it anymore, she went to the police and they only gave him a warning i still tense up when i see a yellow buggie car and its been 2 years
Stalkers are so scary man, I was stalked in a walmart once it was this guy who wouldn't stop staring and following me and everything I touched he would touch it as well and just keep following me, so I went in the restroom and stayed in there for a good 10 minutes but he was gone when I came out of the restroom , made me scared for my life
I was stalked by another student in law school. He moved into my building and kept waiting outside my door for sometimes hours at a time. It was horrifying. I can't imagine what it would feel for some of these women, especially Jasmine being all alone in Japan. My heart hurts.
I feel saddened at the Jasmine case as from what I’ve gathered from multiple Japanese content creators (best example is Shogo your Japanese friend), is that this type of sexual harassment is extremely common in Japan especially on trains, the culture of Japan is so interesting to me but that’s one big downside

I’ve had to essentially remove myself from any meaningful social media presence (like, just having social media to keep up with friends and family) due to multiple instances of stalking/black mail/revenge p0rn from 14 to 22 years old 🥲 it ruined my life and education at certain times, and caused severe anxiety/trauma for me. I’m 27 now and still very scared of the “outside world”, and there’s always this impending sense that it could start again/something worse/unknown repercussions are waiting just around the corner. I recently thought maybe I could put myself back out there on the internet cause I’m honestly very lonely. This video definitely reminds me that maybe I don’t need to put myself through that…
Ugh got that experience in japan so many times from following to touching in the train…last was when I went to shopping really early morning…I had like ten minutes till it opened so I sit on the nearest bench…some random guy just stood in front of me and started pleasuring himself…As sooon as I realized what he is doing I just ran away…

I had the same situation happen when my wife and I were with some friends at a concert in Cleveland. A girl came up to us because she was being followed by someone who had some pretty bad history with her, so we stayed with her until her group of friends showed up. Whenever that happens, play along everybody.

Something like this happened to my favorite Overwatch streamer last year too. It was actually one of the mods from his own chat who started acting super weird about him…giving him huge donos (thousands of dollars), and ended up getting his address from a secret Santa thing that was going on in the community. She was convinced that they should be together. He got weirded out by this and ended up calling her out with hella receipts of her creepy behavior on the Discord server. She was de-modded and shunned from that particular community…but she is still an integral member of other communities which I find really weird. I swear, people are so fucking strange when it comes to streamers, like…leave these people alone, jfc.

Some people definitely shouldn't have an internet connection in the first place if this is something they'd consider doing (stalking and harrassing someone they "know"). Or professional help. These guys seem to either be very opportunistic (spotting someone in public and then following them) or complete nut jobs (flying to the other end of the world to stalk someone). Sad to see that so many cases like this don't get taken seriously until it's an immediate emergency or not at all.
Quite possibly the scariest thing about creeps is more often than not you can’t tell they’re a creep until it’s too late. Many of them look so disturbingly normal.
This is why I’m a strong advocate for women to conceal carry. There’s too many degenerate and dangerous men running around to not be armed. My wife is currently taking classes to get her CCW permit. She is nervous but wants to get a firearm to protect our child since I have graveyard shifts. I’m all for it and I just hope she never has to use it but it’s better to be safe than sorry. And to those that say that guns are for pussies or for the weak. That’s the point. It’s called leveling the playing field to those that aren’t physically strong. This kind of shit is the reason I got my AR when I turned 18 and moved out of my parents and got my CCW when I turned 21. Never have had to use either thankfully, but it certainly brings me a bit of peace of mind at night at my apartment or when I'm running errands. And for anyone who says "you don't need to carry" or "30 round magazines seem like overkill": 1, as a petite single young woman who lives in a major city, fuck off and mind your business. If someone is concealed carrying properly, you won't even know they're carrying. Hence the Concealed bit. And 2, that's kinda the point. If I'm in a situation where deadly force is needed, I'd much rather have more rounds than I need instead of running out. Not to mention I could give several historical examples where having a "high-capacity magazine" would've been helpful and saved lives.

I live in a place that doesn’t allow conceal carry gun but I do conceal carry knifes and am trained in wrestling/other self defense . I hope more women or fem presenting people train in self defense and how to say NO .
Those poor streamers, I really feel for them. Stalking is one of the scariest things that can happen to you and it’ll mess you up something awful. I’m still jumpy around people I don’t know years after my stalking situation, and mine was comparatively minor to some of these. It’s a rough world out there, especially for us women.
If this happens to you, find a group of girls or a couple and pretend to be their friends. Make sure you get to a public place with people, if you aren't. Fight if you have to. Make noise, scream. Create a scene. You would rather be embarrassed than hurt and assaulted.
I’ve experienced stalking and it’s genuinely one of the scariest fucking things ever. Stories like these make me so damn relieved that I’m not a public figure because I just know that has to make things a thousand times more terrifying. I relate so much to the first girls fear it actually gave me chills because I’ve been exactly there and I cannot IMAGINE going through that on a damn livestream.
You never owe anyone an answer to their questions, practice lying if you have to. When someone asks if you are alone or where you are staying have a lie ready to tell them if you don’t want to say “I’m not telling you.” It’s so uncomfortable watching her laugh things off knowing she is just scared and these guys can’t read the room. It’s hard to be assertive because you never know what they’re gonna do if you talk back but at the very least just lie. Never say you are alone, make it seem like people are expecting you and keeping tabs on you.
I used to live in Osaka, and unfortunately this happened quite a lot. Sometimes with locals, and sometimes with other forginers who think because they are away from home they can get away with anything. I believe the beach she was on was the popular Shirarahama beach which I used to visit often with friends, and harassment from men skyrocketed tenfold.

Jasmine does not have great street smarts. I’m not placing any blame on her at all. But when A creepy man is trying to interact with you, really try not to smile or laugh (even if it’s your nervous reaction). Don’t keep interacting with them (unless you feel they will become violent if you don’t acknowledge them). Walk away, tell them to go away. Tell them your friends/family/boyfriend are with you. Stay in public area unless you know you are safe. Reminds me of the time a was with a few female friends, walking my 2 big dogs at night and one started loudly making fun of and then waving to a sketchy group of mostly young men as they walked and drove away. Was not smart of her at all and very sketchy. I’ve always got my big dogs and self defense weapons on me for a reason.

Mostly because as a whole we are told not to be rude which is translated as dont say no to people & a lot of us are people pleasers. Also fearing a negative & potentially violent response we try to placate people & go along with the situation.
@@inkassosjefen6315 yeah i definitely understand. It might help to remember that it can be an extremely serious situation where you need to stick up for your own safety no matter what. That’s why it’s so much better to have a group of friends with you. Or even if speaking is hard, put yourself in safer positions like staying in public areas or public buildings. Possibly approaching store workers or other women or families for help. Honestly I really recommend having a large dog if you’re a dog person. I’ve got two and no one fucks with me bc scary dog privileges. Plus they’re fun company.
Good advice, if a girl walks up to you and a guy or person is acting weird with her, she is not a stranger she is now your BFF That you’ve known for 10 years, just help a girl out because she is now your bestie and not a person who you don’t know the name of.

It's disgusting that these people have to go through this nonsense. These stories made me uncomfortable and there's no excuse to stalk and harass someone. Shout out to those who help the women who were being harassed and stalked.

I'm a little surprised there wasn't any males stalking other males. I've heard of this happening before even to gun RU-vidrs (typically swatting is involved cause they dont want to get killed) or stealing mail and sending dangerous packages.
I had this experience, where a random person just came to me asking me about time, then pulled a knife and stabbed my hips. This is way back last September. Good thing it's just a short knife. He never got anything from me, though I got stabbed because of that. So if a random stranger comes to you, just keep them at a distance lest you risk happening the same thing happened to me.
It's truly terrifying hearing what Jadeyanh went thru. It's sickening how some assholes get a kick out of stalking and harassing streamers. No streamer should ever have to go thru something that and I hope Jadeyanh can stream in peace now
the worse part for me is that all of the stalkers that aproched jasmine had no idea she was streaming or that she was a public figure, that made me think, omg, in japan this stalking of girls should be so common, it made me feel horrible for the girls living there.
