The funny thing is, that I sought out her novel 'Half of a Yellow Sun' for this exact reason that she mentions: I was sick of seeing and hearing a single representation of Africa in the MSM and was thinking how little I actually knew about the continent and cultures. I also agree with what 'kropos' says below me...love the fact that Adichie can point out things like this (people being brainwashed) without being judgemental...she has a sense of humour about it which is rare
