Hi William! As you well know you are my hero! Such kind words from you are gratefully received! :) I've not had many words over the Christmas period for various reasons...Thanks for you help in bringing them back! I throughly enjoyed Aarons All Stars show on BlogTV...Loved the LW on 8-Track...Many Thanks! :)
Do we want them all looking like that - YES WE DO. They are little belters. The man is an artist with wood. My dad was a master carpenter so I appreciate the craftsmanship. I have to say though, your vid is a bit like the film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" - empty little shells, just waiting to take over the population. Cannot wait to see the finished result because I just know it will be mind blowing. Keep up the great work.
The Dansettes are definately worth reviving there a nice example of good old 50s-60s home entertainment history The younger generation of today are amazed when they learn items like these were actually once made in england
There's only one Bermajor!...One Bermajor!... One Bermaaaajor!...There's Only One Bermajor! And it's yours Joe...haha!!! :) The old case is sitting inside my incinerator...It has the worm! But a nice idea! They did make matching fronts for stereo...If you can find one. Happy New Year Maestro! :)
I wouldn't be without my heater in the winter! I got it unused still in the original box from the 1960's. It's the cleanest and cheapest way to make my workshop toasty warm...Even if it does make glugging noises now and again...haha!!! I have a couple of smaller wick heaters which are great when its not too cold...But when its below freezing the old Valor is a must! :) Yes, the changer will still work with the pin missing...They just punch out...Easy to replace! Happy New Year! :)
Hi Neil! As always...Thanks for your kind words! :) I can recover the cases...But I couldn't make cabinets like these myself...I just don't have the equipment to do it...Mine would look more like an orange box with a record player sitting in it...haha!!! Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year! :)
Thank You! I've been slow in getting it done...Christmas wasn't the greatest this year...But it's done now...It's turned out a treat! I want to keep it for myself...haha!!! Midway video uploading right now...Completion video coming soon! Happy New Year! :)
when you consider the cost to revamp an original case for a dansette the replacement is the obvious way to go esp as the original woodwork could have woodworm in it
I just discovered your RU-vid channel and I love your videos/content but then realised you haven’t been active/on here since 10 years ago. Hope you doing ok. ❤️ Wondering do you have any other social platforms I can follow? Also would you have any Dansette Monarch, Senator, Bermuda, Conquest or Tempo for sale by any chance? Thank you 🙏🏼 Hopefully you see this and reply🤞🏻
Hi! Lovely comment...As Always! Thank you! :) There were many Craftsmen once...Not so many now...I'm sure your Dad could have done this with his eyes closed! :) Sorry any new videos have been a long time coming...I've explained my absence in the next one...Which is just up. I love the reference to the empty shells...It's quite true...haha!!! Happy New Year! :)
Thanks for positive comment! I have to agree...The guy that makes these cases is real craftsman...Well out of my league! I think it would be easier to build a time machine and go back and buy a new one than try and do what he has done...haha!!! Happy New Year! :)
I'm not hiding Gary...haha!!! :) Just can't stay up all night with work in the morning...Change your time zone to GMT and I'll be on every show...haha!!! Thanks for commenting! :)
Thanks George! Find an old Bermuda and I'll see what I can do...haha!!! All good things come to he who waits! And does well at School! :) Thanks for commenting! :)
Hi Luke...I've finally got a midway video on its way up...The Bermuda is finished now though...I feel like I want to run away with it and hide somewhere for myself...Its a real cutie! I'll send it to you...Hide it under your bed for me...haha!! Happy New Year! :)
