When Jessica teared up, I teared up…. This WAS our childhood and I believe these movies made it and made us. There will not be another movie like this or another Jim Henson…. Tear jerker of an episode, guys…. Y’all are wonderful and thank you for keeping it informative and with heart. I love you guys! 💜
I agree, your channel is the bomb and very unique, I totally love you both and wish you were my friends. These two films are incredible and made me very happy as a child, so thank you from the bottom of my soul for sharing this with us and taking me back to some forgotten memories.. Be safe xx
Thank you for Going there I Agree with you The Dark Crystal is one of the Greatest Movies that Jim Henson Ever Created. I Love All that hes Done Love Muppets Fraggle Rock but the Dark Crystal Blows that All Away
I have loved The Dark Crystal ever since I saw it in the theater as a little kid. I would probably get choked up as well if I was standing there with all of that around me. I remember seeing the Making of: tv special and seeing Brian Froud sit there and draw a Skeksis inspired me with my art back then. Thank you for another great video!
I love you guys so much & look forward to every video. I have shared this to my 80's group on facebook called 80's lovers UNITED told folks to head over & show y'all some love & support. Thank You Mike & Jess for all you do & for taking us along on all you're adventures....Great content as always. Much love from Australia.
This is a excellent exhibition, on puppets, related to some sort of movies.I really recommend this to fans,I was blown away with all this detail.Jessica stunning as always.💐👍
Oh my!!! Such an amazing place..Dark Crystal is definitely cool..but I absolutely love Labyrinth!!! Tie Fighter eyeball?!..wicked cool info Jess!!! thanks for sharing!!!
The Dark Crystal has to be one of my all time favorites. I was 11 in 1982 when I saw this masterpiece in the theaters. Then watched the making this in 1983, the documentary that is in the DVD/Bluray. You guys make me jealous, you got to see the props...damn
"I cried..." what else is new? She's an absolute treasure, Michael. Not sure what in her past has made her so emotional, but you need to keep focusing on making her future so wonderfully fulfilling. You two are truly a treasure.
I met y'all today at the opening of Galaxy's Edge in Orlando. I thought it was super cool for the simple fact that I only found you guys on RU-vid less than a week ago, then looked up and you were there. The Universe works in weird ways and everything is connected. So i dont know what it means... But I am glad i met you all! You are super cool and very sweet. Thank you for saying hello today!!! I am subscribed 😊😊😊
I’m glad you said hello as well. It really does mean the world to us when people do, and everyone we meet has been nice. So again, thank you. If you see us again, please don’t hesitate to say hello.
I completely understand the emotion at seeing this exhibition...I found your channel as I’d been rabbit hole-ing 🕳 ‘The Dark Crystal’ stuff...so glad I found it! ✌🏼
I was the first on line at the theater at the premiere of "the Dark Crystal" when I was a kid. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing it on the big screen. I had bought the book of Faeries earlier that year and thought that Froud was the best thing that I'd ever seen. I was tearing up right with you.
Hello, guys both of you are the best I love your videos. The greatest secret to happiness and peace is letting every life situation be what it is, instead of what others think it should be. Then, make the very best of it as you show it on film. Today is the life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you both with passion. Live today with gusto great places you both film well done every time...Thank you both for showing your films. Jessica, you are a beautiful doll, you bring life and beauty to everything around you.
The Dark Crystal was my favorite movie growing up and my nickname was Kira throughout elementary school because everyone swore I looked like her! I would love for this exhibit to come to Minnesota and am unbelievably excited to at least see it through your channel!
Labyrinth was my absolute favourite as a kid, used to get the tape out from Civic Video every chance I got. Didn't get into Dark Crystal as much, my older sister was freaked out by the old Skeksis dying (I was more weired out by the Gelflings, tbh), so we didn't watch it much except a couple times when I was really way to young to remember it. I did though, a few years back volunteer at a bat hospital. My favourite was a little baby bat that just wanted attention all the time, and demanded by SCREAMING HIS LUNGS OUT. But he was also very fuzzy and nice to cuddle. I named him Fizzgig. 😊
I must admit i never saw the Dark Crystal.... When i was little i was so into dungeon & dragons... I've always been intrigued by magic and mystical things but never saw the Dark Crystal. Very interesting guys Thanks for sharing. It's amazing how emotional we all get over fond childhood memories 🙏
This one is just past the point of awesome...it hit Excalibur Mode! I too am a fan of The Dark Crystal...and the Labyrinth...Good movies done these days just don't have the stories as good as these anymore.
I loved all things Jim Henson one of my faves apart from Dark crystal and labyrinth is the tv series the story teller. I still remember some of those stories x
@@grimmlifecollective Your missin out bro! Delves wayyy deep into their past. I'm on my 4th viewing. Really highlights who and how powerful Aughra really is!
Labryrith is my favorite movie of all time!! I know all the lines, and quote them daily lol I love all those magical movies. Legend, LOTR, Dark Crystal, Harry Potter 😍😍😍😍😍
I remember this movie. This movie came out in 1982. But Labyrinth came out in 1986 the same year that my sister was born in and the Great Mouse Detective came out in the same year.
I wanted to revisit this video and ask your thoughts on Age of resistance? We absolutely love it!!!!! Thanks again for the videos you do so fun to watch
Both my daughters' favorite movie is Labyrinth! One of them named one of their dogs Ludo. And for a Christmas gift I bought them the Labyrinth board game...
Again, it's nice to see you two find out about Classic Horror movies and the Dark Crystal for the first time! Is original Fans always welcome newbies join the club!
A friend who lives a bus ride away was one of the puppeteers on Labyrinth, was also the puppeteer for Miss Piggy on Christmas carol, look him up on IMDB Michael Bayliss.
I didn't really watch either of those movies,to give an idea of where I came from the skesis? bird things always reminded me of Rodan so yea big Godzilla/Gojira guy, also anime I did later on find Thunderbirds and those puppets were fun to watch.
I love the Dark Crystal too. I was 14 years old when it opened in theaters back in December of 1982, and my favorite character is Jen. Being at this museum and seeing all of the puppets and costumes that were used in the film would've been a dream come true. I never saw Labyrinth, so the exhibits from that film wouldn't be as exciting for me. Not like The Dark Crystal. I'm a Dark Crystal girl all the way.
I loved the Dark Crystal as a kid even more so than Labyrinth, the characters and storyline on it were amazing. Shame there is like zero chance of seeing this type of exhibit in the UK.
Amazing film, with equally an amazing museum. Being in the UK no chance for me to go over to see that a so I can only hope one day UK has something close to it maybe.
@@Witchydame dammmm, no chance for this week for me, I'am a care worker so I need to have like 3 months prep to get any time off, haha. Thanks for the heads up though...
True Fact On Labyrinth: On The Script Bowie Was Supposed To Kiss His Co-Star(Jennifer Connelly) But Bowie Being A Good Soul Refused To Do That Because The Actress Playing Sarah Was A Minor And I Find That Real Awesome That He Did The Right Thing
