I was born and brought up in westerton my great grandfather bought a house in maxwell avenue in 1917. The property passed to my grandfather in 1956 where he brought up his family and ran his own business. I lived in crarae avenue from the age of 2 I went to westerton primary and attended westerton Fairlie memorial church. Mrs Mundy led the Sunday school and Robin Downie led the crusaders on Sunday afternoon. My grandfather sang this sing to me as a wee boy it always has a special place in my heart . Even more so when it's sung by the wmvc

@@tommarshall1660 Coming up in the 80's attending western primary school, this video reminds me how white as snow Westerton was, I was one of a few and disrespected for being so. This video reminds me of those times. I imply that westerton is probably still as white as snow.
