For too long, I have been in awe of this, but at the same time, rather irritated, because of people not understanding this, whether or not they even know about these two mysterious units.

Even though I said this in the reply section of a comment but I agree with the moral of this story. This is one of the reasons why I try to record or a take picture or do both at the same time when I see a train in sight.

I have caught NCTC 5007, 5008, and 5009 at Encinitas on 7-21-23. To see the Coaster again after nearly months and to see 5006 to 5009 just in case two of the four units end up being sold off by Coaster to another company. I have only caught 5009 leading, 5007, and 5008 I only caught trailing. I do recommend railfans in SoCal if possible to get them just in case if two of the chargers do get sold off by Coaster to other companies.

I actually have made my one and only model GO Transit Coach into 224, just added paper and drew 224's front, renumbered it and done, I also wrapped it in a Telefrancais ad because my parents watched it.

SCAX 645 and 652 have a similar story of ignorance, and are not in service now. 684 was filmed many times, as it seemed to follow Brent Nguyen around.

@Superbaddy4 It was used for PTC Testing, just like 680, but hasn't been in revenue service since. It now moves around Metrolink yards, but is currently stored by San Bernadino. Another example I can think of is ATSF 144, but more photos of it exist because it was the helper on the Maersk commercial shoot.

The original 144 was actually indeed wrecked and scrapped, so that one isn't much of a mystery.

SCAX #634 is also a victim of Cab Car ignorance. It was around for 7 years, and only has one photo of it existing, whereas, from 2002-2008, 7 photos of 855 exist on rrpicturearchives, and at least 4 videos of it. Now, some of this can be attributed to digital cameras became more common from 2000, and lots of old film may be lost, but how did Steven Vicent not catch 634 when he lived in SoCal during the time that 634 was around? Also, one video of 634 exists, and another photo, but the photo is of the aftermath of the collision, and the video is of 634 sitting in the CMF after it was destroyed.

That's exactly correct. And it also applies to 608 too, which only two known photos exist of. And what is this one and only footage of 634? Is it the collision caught on tape which I've seen, or another one I don't know?

All I remember is the photo Andrew Novak has on his database, taken from a passing train of its dead tarped-up corpse. I think I remember seeing a video of coach 113 sitting dead being viewed from a passing train, but not 634.

Look up "Dallas Union Station 2005", and you should find three videos by Martin Miller. I believe in the second one, it appears.

Look up "Dallas Union Station 2005", and you should find 3 different videos by him taken there. In the second part, 1000 appears.

Only one time ever on record. It was a period from early to mid-2018. It was only photographed twice and videoed once.

All of GOs Cab Cars are at least Gen 2, and same with Tri-Rails. The only Gen 1 Cabs manufactured were SCAX 601-631.

All of GO's are actually up to about Gen 7, as 242 wasn't built until 2004.

I saw that video, and I did notice that. I theorized it could be 224, but there's just no proof it actually is. That photo is NOT 224. That is 225. By the time that photo was taken in 2006, 224 was already LONG gone. Note it has an E-Bell, which 224 never had.
