@@nmbr1son64I think he was poisoned by the cause but I could be wrong because he wasn’t rich at the end of the day had to go all back to the government
@@MrDrumdrum239 he wasn't rich? He had $73 million! However, he WAS poisoned by the cause because by killing those people, he eventually lost the value of human life. His deeds and lies eventually caught up with him, and he was killed himself.
I think what is scary about Teddy, is the fact there are people like him who think what they are doing is for a greater cause, and if people like you have to be a sacrifice for that goal no matter how many lives will be lost, he'll do it without question
Teddy Mcdonald and Franklin are the two most complex characters in the entire series. I've said this several times before that they're the essentially the same character, just from different walks of life. Two sides of the same coin.
I bet the reason this show didn't get it's true recognition is because of the governments involvement with drugs. If this was a show about the Italian mafia the writers, cast and production would've been rewarded. Shame...
@@marcelkozera2210Yes and No. I meant our government isn't really shown to commit these kinds of acts against it's own citizens. They're usually portrayed as heroes or not at all; ie. They had no involvement with the KKK, the Mafia, no part in the assassinations of JKF, Martin, Malcolm or Fred etc. it's usually the local police or officials. They used to have a big influence in Hollywerid but who knows now.🤷🏿♀️
@@marcelkozera2210yea, most governments (especially the us government) are completely narcissistic and wants their people to believe that they are the good guys, it’s part of the reason why most documentaries and textbooks about slavery don’t truly go into detail about everything that happened to the slaves, only about 50-60% of what happened is actually told
@@marquise7200 Right. That's part of american culture. Rewrite history so you can claim deniably. I'm glad this show gave us as much of the truth as it could. Sad thing is it will never get the recognition that shows like the sopranos, or power get. 🤔 I wonder why...
@@jayzor7775yes he was… but when he went to make that call to Teddy on the pay phone that DEA agent Marino arrested him, remember? And then Ruben fucked their plan up so he still ended up at the warehouse with Teddy
He was not evil per se, but the organization he worked for was (and still is) evil personified.. The analysis of Dexter Morgan, Vic Mackey, Frank Underwood, and Joffrey Baratheon are long overdue..
It’s funny that both Franklin and Teddy both joined this drug game in order to feel important. Different aspects of it made them feel important but ultimately they gaslit themselves into delusion. At first it was about money for Franklin but then it was about him feeling respected with it. He felt like he was nothing without it and it was his downfall. At first Teddy wanted to help the the contras but then it was just to prove a point. He was insecure and hated himself so he became Reed Thompson and just like Franklin he ended up feeling like he was nothing without his CIA career. He likes praise.
Amazing break down bro. I found Teddy so hard to read at times. He was very layered. Changing masks based on the circumstances such as how he manipulated the young girl in the beginning to try and find her missing sister
Definitely excited to watch this video bro they are always super detailed I appreciate that! Here’s some other characters you should consider doing a video on in the future : Rick Grimes Thomas Shelby Dexter Christopher Moltsanti Dre from Power Jax Teller
J back with another banger, your time and energy into this was greatly appreciated bro. Honestly keep doing what you love. It's all coming together. Looking forward to the future content. ❤
It's honestly sad that homie makes videos of this high quality, but he never made videos about the Salamanca's from Breaking Bad. Especially after he made that banger Gus video. This video was great though bravo bro👏.
Just finished watching all seasons in the space of 2 weeks, finished it all yesterday. Teddy was a strange character for me. I didn't understand his motivation. Most characters were aiming for a better life of some sort. But after ditching his wife and kid, Teddy just seemed to continue this lifestyle with no end goal for himself.
39:53 it wasn’t plot armor. The plan was for Franklin to get captured by Teddy so when them two were together with Gustavo. That Gustavo would turn on Teddy to help Franklin. The plan been in effect. Since episode 6 when Gustavo told Franklin about the DEA investigation under the bridge
It was Teddy ace in sleeve since he was captured. He lied to cc for quick death if he would defeat his money. So he told Franklin, that he accept to give up the money, and in final step provoked his mother to kill him now or never. Teddy paid back to Franklin by putting his mother in jail and making him alone and broke as Teddy was. 😢 Thank you, man. It's awesome content.
The only time I felt sorry for Mr. Petty Teddy was when his brother died and his father called him after the funeral was already over and said "I suspect we won't speak again." That was messed up. But everything else was simply just a result of his own choices. Petty Teddy had plenty of opportunities to walk away from the CIA but he just had to keep pushing it. And in the end he got exactly what was coming to him... 2 bullets in the chest. Blind patriot..
I don’t even know if he watches wrestling or not but a video essay on Roman reigns dark psychology of his tribal chief character would be fire! but I love this channel☝🏽
