Marcus Jordan, son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, launched the boutique Trophy Room in 2016. His collaborations with Jordan, especially the controversial Chicago Trophy Room sneaker, sparked rumors of Marcus selling to resellers at inflated prices before official releases.
Joe Herbert's reselling business, West Coast Streetwear, crumbled after it was revealed his mother, Ann Herbert, was a Nike Vice President. Following the exposure, she resigned from Nike.
RU-vidr Cedaz facing a lawsuit from Nike for promoting and selling fake sneakers.
A Melbourne man lost $30,000 buying from a minor reseller who couldn't legally provide a refund.
Finally, Michael Malakzadeh of Zadeh Kicks is accused of money laundering, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit bank fraud. His business collapsed when he couldn't fulfil orders for the much-anticipated Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey in 2021.

Love your channel Elliot, I’m in my 50s and love sneakers not to re sell but because when I was growing up I could never afford them so now I buy them for my girls and myself not to Flex but just to own the things I always wanted , the fact that these people are carrying out these scams is a disgrace as there are plenty of people out there that just love sneakers for what they are and cannot afford hyped prices tbf even at retail most of the shoes aren’t worth the money anyway.

Ironically I was just thinking about this the other day. The resell market only makes sense to Nike if they are part of it. They can release limit pairs of a shoe at “retail.” Then they could unload the rest of the inventory at a higher price on the backend. I don’t think they’re sitting back letting kids with bots make a premium off their shoes. Jordan brand is is the worst in my conspiracy theory. They’re feeding people the same shoe every few years at a higher price. So they can eat off a shoe many times. Especially if they get the influencers to hype the shoe up

You're actually getting in at a good time unless your looking for the limited hyped sneakers. If you just looking for your regular drops then most of them are readily available in store or online for retail or whatever even under retail on aftermarket sites for certain models

There’s so many now with different version, most ppl. don’t know what you’re wearing now. Not like back when a few set trends with the sneaker choices you made vs someone dictating what everyone should buy and have. Which alone for me killed the sneaker collecting hobby. Plus, a long time ago, I found out these shoes fall apart eventually and loose their value. which is a big turn off bc at some point in your collection, you have to get rid off before it melts down. Like anything, when everyone and their mom get into reselling and collecting, that alone will over saturate and kill the market. The key is to find something that hot, but not many know about and milk it until everyone jumps on the same game.

Wow and he returned fake Nikes and they didn’t catch they were fake. See, too many fakes now and too many reissues that also killed the market. Back in the days, you can be proud to own a shoes that many didn’t have. Now everyone has the same shoes and so many fakes to make the real ones not so special bc you can’t tell on these fakes unless you are an expert and even they make mistakes.

Brah in america ticketek resellers does this all the time to all the big concerts they bulk sell to resellers / "investors" time not to be too naive. Its even on youtube. Ticketeck / ticketnet wants the cut of the aftersale market. Didnt you notice ? When you need a basketball or concert ticket on the day you can still buy on the day cause it is the price you are willing to pay. This is the same with this shoe... retail price? That is just an illusion.

Travis Scott 100% does this.... He puts the shit on Stock X himself and sets the price before they release. No one ever wins his raffles on his website. Just grade school. Nike should do the releases on Snkrs and just throw them a cut.... I guarantee they are not paying taxes on the extra millions they make.
