I am increasingly opposed to "travel influencers" as they do not learn or respect cultures in the places they travel to and do not promote the research needed for a rich travel experience as a good guest in another country to their viewers. They also contribute to the Instagram effect in travel. In far too many cases they inflict their immature behavior on societies that have a deep and structured culture. Its the modern day version of "I want to be a rock star." It is doing real damage to local populations quality of life.
Can definitely relate to all these points! I've been a travel influencer/creator full time for the past 2.5 years and while there are downsides it's still worth it to me
I retired in 2020. Im 57 . Not married. No children. I have a steady income. I think it might work for me. I'm not a Tech expert and that is the only problem I have
