Germany, at any rate, has no intention of bowing to this Jewish threat, but rather of bowing to it in time, if necessary under the most complete and radical austerity. I would like to ask the Commissioner whether he is prepared to accept the Commission's proposal. I ask you: Do you want total war?! Do you want it, if necessary, more total and radical than we can even imagine it today?! Now, people, get up, and storm, break loose!

This was greatly illustrated. When i first watched this, i have to be honest... i cried. This was at night tho. The doctor saying he never seen somone cry as much for somone death (his mother), also the fact of him having weird parent dynamic (inzest) aswell being abused by father. Later on not having father at 13. Then failed school. Its hard to not feel sorry. Sympathize and empathize. As somone who had no good father figure and being issolated, can relate, and why i did feel more sad. Adolf instance does show how important a father figure is, its afterall the seed. Even tho he did heinous war crimes, became what some would call psychopath and maniac. Few times it does feel like people want to put all blame on him as scapegoat because in reality everyone is guilty in WW2. Its difficult to not feel sorry when hearing about his upbringing, cause he was at the begining a good innocent child. A child with likes and dreams with unfortunate upbringing. Harder to be good when you been shown bad and evil. He was indeed failed by his elders and superiors. This is not what he drew for himself at the begining. This is where the inc of the pen came to an end, painting his last fate to his life.

1939 February 24 Munich SAVE IT ALL To the Old Guard The only thing that can trouble our rejoicing is the thought that some comrades did not live to see the final victory. This is the feeling I had last year. There is the old Austrian general who lived cleanly all his life, thought only of Greater Germany and fought for Greater Germany - old General Krauss. And then, a few days before I marched into his homeland - for he was a Sudeten German - the old man closed his eyes forever. Probably he would have been overcome by his joy. Perhaps it would have killed him. However, though we must regret that individuals, that so many comrades, have not been able to rejoice with us, there is one consolation. We know that their struggle was not in vain; in the end they attained their goal, if only in that their spirit was with us and in us.

9:25 What is the title & autbor of tbe book mentioned please? Also, is the book by Hart you mentioned earlier (I've forgotten the title) still in print and available? Same question re the mystetious book you mentioned at 9:25. Thanks. I found there is a lot of research into what makes a good person bad on the Yad (Yud?) Vashem site. The YV building is in Israel - Jerusalum I think. It is a testimony to the very large numbers of Jews who were systematically murdered, starved, and tortured. It is a museum, but it's good to know so much research is carried out there. To date the conclusion is worrying. Any petson, pacifist, humanitarian, neighbours and friends can become killers. The tortures were not Naxi Youth graduates, nor had any hatred for Jews. They were normal middle-aged men fed no agenda. Yet they became ruthless guards over people they once knew of as friends. It's a bitter pill to swallow, but anyone can become as evil. It is easier to just dismiss them as bad people. Researchers are studying the evidence. There is something in the human condition that triggers this response. We dont know what it is. It is important to find it. There is no 'us (good people) and them (bad people). We could all do this to eachother. Makes the atrocities more real. We cannot comprehend the scale, but we can understand the question of motive from non-violent people. Think about the atrocities of Russian soldiers in Ukraine. They too, changed from normal men to monsters.
