The 25 shades of Fenty’s tint collection all have jumps. It’s light-medium coverage and supposed to blend with natural skin color for a no makeup makeup look. I would go for the 50 shades foundation collection to find an accurate match.
@@ram6264 I would have to disagree with you. Despite it being light coverage, those two shade jumps are going to show regardless of how light the coverage is. I’m really surprised that fenty of all brands didn’t create more shades. Sometimes people want something light coverage. And it should match their skin. If someone with darker skin wears the 24 it will show up too orange or light. And the 25 might show up too ashy/dark. It does show! If Rare beauty could do it, they can do it too.
There are at least 3 shades that fit my skin tone, i have a medium skin tone, so it shocks me the colour difference between 24 and 25. There should be at least 1-2 shades in between
@I have no personality outside my sexuality it’s their foundation that set the mark, especially since no other brand has had that many shades before that fit that many people
It’s hard because the fenty finish was prettier… more skin like. Rare beauty worked but a bit of a matte dull/gray look due to the spf as you said. But who wants to have to come up out of pocket twice to find a shade in 2022!
I honestly think the Rare beauty was olive toned and that’s why it looked grey. I’m olive toned and I mix my foundations with green color corrector and it looks grey on my hand but works really well on my face. It makes sense too since the Rare beauty foundation was called neutral since olive is technically neutral.
that's what i used to do when i wore makeup. most women in my country have an olive undertone but every commercial foundation ever is so unbearably pink.
I don’t think I’m your target audience but I ended up here and I just want to say that you are absolutely gorgeous! Your videos are very informative and well done.
Me neither! I'm a middle-aged Irish lady! LOL! I love this channel, though. Ohemaa is so lovely and so knowledgeable. The only reason I tried Fenty was that she recommended it!
I’m impressed by the Rare Beauty. I have the Fenty tinted moisturizer, but I haven’t used it in a long time. Mostly because it was the first tinted moisturizer I ever purchased and I was all about full coverage back then. So I like the finish of both but the Rare Beauty’s coverage impressed me in tone and coverage but still looks like skin
I believe that to be a fair comparison it is necessary to apply both products in the same way. I feel like the brush allows the moisturizer to mix more with the products you've used before, like sunscreen. Anyway, both look great on you, and you're already gorgeous without makeup!
Ehh..I disagree with your first statement. A fair comparison requires applying both products *as they were each designed to be applied*. That includes not only application technique and tools but base.
@@InvisibleRen yea I agree. The product came with the brush for a reason. Def a fair comparison assuming the brush was clearly meant to make it blend better
The thing about tinted moisturizers is, that they never need to be an exact match to your skin color. What matters most is the undertone. And really, depending on the concealers and powders you plan to use for your look, you don't have to strictly use the undertone that matches your skin. It's all about the artistry and what direction you're taking your final look in. My point is not that everyone can use every shade, the point is with tinted moisturizers, it's mostly moisture with a slight splash of tone you can manipulate in any way you want.
For my skin tone i think Rare beauty suits me quite well, i have yellow undertone that ranges to neutral at times and it's works perfectly. Also, i found my perfect shade too so it's a win win
im white as paper, but I absolutely love watching these. its so interesting to learn about brands and how inclusive they are! Thank you for being so informative and thorough in your reviews!
I think at the beginning of the video Fenty looked more like a match even tho you had to mix two shades together, but at the end of the video with your final look they both look nearly the same!! So to me Rare Beauty is the one I would pick because you didn't have to mix shades together.
I was just about to comment that you should mix them when you did it. Lol I think the shade match with the fenty mix was better than that neutral rare beauty one, but I loved the blur of the satin finish on the rare beauty side. Also, this eye look is so pretty! You always amaze me with your creativity and how you can just pull off so many looks. 😍
Just some little advice, don't let the tip of the serum dot touches your skin. It'll contaminated with bacteria or other material and it'll come unhygienic again. (Sorry for my English 🙏🏻)
It's definitely great that Fenty has an even deeper shade though, for people who need it, even if it was too deep for you. Rare Beauty will not be deep enough for some people and that sucks.
but still . the point of having many shades is to get one for any skinshade that exist. if you are saying that rare beauty "sucks" bcs it would not match darker shade it is the same for fenty that dont mach her richer deeptoned shade.
@@baeh3657 I didn't say Rare Beauty sucks. I said it sucks that their deepest shade is significantly less deep than Fenty's. As in, the situation sucks, not the brand.
@@Snuzzled that is why i put it in " " . while rare beauty dont have as deep shade as fenty one , fanty dont have as lighter deep shade as rare beauty one. both got same problems and it is almost impossible to have brand that would match every single fitzpatrick shade and specifics undertones they could have.
@@baeh3657 um that isn’t how you use quotes 🥴, you just completely changed the meaning of what the OP was saying. But also, Fenty does have all of the other shade ranges in their other products. The tinted moisturizer however, is supposed to be just that, tinted, so it has less shades because it’s supposed to be a lighter, sheerer coverage. I was actually hoping she would have applied the deeper shade by itself because when sheered out I’m sure it would have looked very pretty on her, but obviously she was going for a more full coverage look, which isn’t really what the tinted moisturizer is for.
Hey! Love your Africa ring. This was a great tinted moisturizer comparison. Fenty #25 is much deeper and seems more red than Rare Beauty. I like the mix you did for the Fenty side. The Fenty luminosity is unmatched.
I think Fenty wins in the aspect of them creating such beautiful shades that are true to the skin, it really looked so beautiful on you. Rare is nice to if they'd fix the grey dull hazy colour it gives off.
This video is about to make or break my decision to buy the rare beauty tinted moisturizer cause Fenty is my girl right now😂 you are so Gorgeous Ohemaa😍
@@girlfromlondontown.442 I’m not oily either ,more dry to combination, but I do live in a humid climate so the rare Beaty TM may not work. Thank you for letting me know✨
Fenty but like you said if you didn't have both of them neither would work along ...and honestly the cost is on the high side to have to purchase both to get a perfect match. For me this is my problem with some beauty lines and being a beginner that could be expensive.
I have been confused about when to put my sunscreen on. So you do skin care, moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, then the rest of your makeup. Good to know. Edited to add that I like the Fenty side better. I know you had to mix it, but I still think it looks better. I have to mix my Fenty too. Love the eye look!
I love how Fenty has a very large variety for all skin tones. It's probably my favorite celebrity brand, I love Rare Beauty too, but Fenty just my favorite. BUT...I GOTTA KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR SELENER.
I don't often look at skin care / beauty products chanels. But boy this one I do like it ! I like it because it's more "thermes and facts" about what is happening and why things go the way they do. On point, perfectly understandable for me even without subs on (that I mostly need now on vods). Yeah, between Johnny Ross and OHEMAA, I think I've found makeup artists I will watch on a weekly basis.
The sunset color of your top piece really flatters your skin tone, makes me really want to see a makeup look in that color family! Fantastic work as always
I don't know why I opened this video since I definitely cannot use advice on deep shades but you're so pretty and your voice sounds so soothing and I just needed to watch until the end.
Looking beautiful as usual! Love it! ...though you had to mix with Fenty, I like that side better! It blended well, with all the skincare/skin prep you used. The rare beauty side...after adding powder, and everything came out nice, but I'd still rather mix and get that finish with Fenty, than to possibly look gray. God's blessings shower down on you, your family, and your brand continually in abundance 💜☦🕊🥰💖
Fenty wins for me. The fact that you can go darker if you were darker is a win. Plus my rare beauty foundation gives me a grey cast and I don’t know if it has spf as well. It just always dries greyish. So I’m going to assume by your video that I’d probably have the same issue with the tinted moisturizer which we know has spf
The Fenty one looks way better, so basically the formula is better. Sad that the shade range is still kinda "limited" though. You look beautiful by the way !
Fenty looks better but yes very annoying having to mix cos one bottle isn't cheap. A great foundation for summer/oily skin is bare Minerals bare pro Full Coverage Liquid Foundation. Would love to see you review it 💜
What i do is a buy the closest shade to me, then I get the other shade in a little bottle cup to try out for free. I just tell the lady, "look I'm broke right now, so just fill it up, we sistas, come on you know!", and usually she will fill me up. That way I can just mix it in my self without buying two products! 😅
both of them look absolutely stunning on your skin omg! I think the rare beauty one is perfect for a "no-makeup-makeup" look, cause there's the subtle glow and coverage. But the fenty mixture of 24 & 25 is a gorgeous foundation look!
I love both shades on you! I can definitely see some of the grey cast from rare beauty, but as soon as you have the full face of make up, to my eyes that seems to disappear. I do love the radiance of fenty but to me, I would not want to buy two bottles and mix it each time. That being said, I do realize me and my paper white skin have an easy time speaking as most makeup has gazillion options for me whereas the dark shades are often to be found with a microscope in hand.
I would pick Fenty for you it looked natural. Yet, I can relate to the frustration of having to mix a foundation every time. I hate products that make things inconvenient it’s annoying so get your choice.
even though you have to mix shades to find the right, fenty side looks SO GOOD N BEAUTIFUL on your skin 🛐🛐 i was so amazed of that blurring effect, hope it looks that good on my skin 😭
I love the look of the Rare Beauty but it’s all but gone from my oily face in a couple of hours. In my experience the Fenty lasts longer but it needs the right primer underneath.
Mixing the two Fenty shades looked great!! For what it's worth, I always have to mix light and medium shades for a lot of my foundations to get it closer to my skin tone...
I don’t even wear makeup, but I could not pass this up! Your skin is so beautiful. I do prefer how Fenty looked on you, but it’s annoying having to mix shades
I’m white and pale as hell but this video is the most informative, well done makeup review I’ve seen in a long time. I’m not the target audience at all but I’m so happy I’m here 🎉❤
