Thanks for Justins Justin Hawkins Rides again, I rediscovered Darkness. Some friends saw them on Sabaton Open Air and they told me they stole the show, after this, I do believe that. It is 2022 now and it is great to know that there are still great rock bands around. Next time, when the planets align right, I am gonna see them, you will finf me on the front row!
Dan is da man! His tone outta that AC30 is fuckin KILLA! I'm actually looking for an AC30 to buy for my guitar rig rn because of Dan's tone. This band is what the world needs rn. 🤘🤘🤘
I have been around a while myself. I have seen a lot of great bands play live over the many years I have lived like Blind Faith, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and on and on. And this band is truly up there with the best of them for their live performances. Plus they are all terrifically talented musicians and good guys.
Any band that has a member that champions a Thin Lizzy t-shirt is a great band in my opinion. The Darkness are a cracking band, saw them a few years back in a venue that holds about 400 people, played it like it was a 8000 capacity arena. Truly brilliant.
It is rare for such an amazing voice to grace us with song. The Darkness, single handedly saved Classic Rock N Roll. And as far as Glam Rock goes, they might be gods.
I do not understand why more radio stations on Long Island & surrounding New York area do not play The Darkness more often. This band brings light into a world that needs that light. Understand it.
I always wonders why nobody remembers to give a round of applause to the Hawkins brothers' parents for raising real rock stars among their generation! I salute you Mr&Mrs Hawkins. The lady who gave birth to these two men must be the coolest mother on Earth.
Being an "older" Musician I have to go outside of rock more and more for inspiration. .seen em and heard em all as they say , but a band like this comes along and BOOM! !! They nail it ✊✊✊✊😊
I've been on a The Darkness binge for 2 days straight. I had NO IDEA just how friggin good they are! Excellent musicianship, fantastic showmanship and not a single bad song. They are criminally underrated.
@@foofy14 I would absolutely love to 😍 Just from watching those clips I'm convinced they are one of the top live bands out there. Sadly, my country is turning into a totalitarian nightmare right now and I have lost all hope that things will ever get back to normal, which includes attending a show without showing your papers (provided it doesn't get canceled all together, mind you) 😭

Their first two albums are end-to-end ball tearers. And that just gets you started, there's like 6 more. Easily have been one of my favourite bands for many years now and I came out of the 70's where all this stuff was born.
In the days that people properly rocked out at a gig and didn’t have phones to video. That venue was the perfect size… I miss it and it’s sticky floor. I had forgotten how big it was… ooh er.
So fantastic to see all the people smiling and having a good time , NO PHONES getting in the way either , People there in the moment having a great time. I saw them on the permission to land tour and the one way tour , the first was the best. Bring back the old Darkness.
Such an amazing band...love these guys, original, classic, rocking hard, actually play....no modern day garbage digital machines. Just superb. This type of music holds a key audience that can not ever be lost. I hope more recording artists will keep this music alive. FOREVER LIVE THE DARKNESS
this is one of the best performances ever i think. their music is incredible beyond words. i truly love this band more than anything and would not be alive without them. long live their music, i swear i'll see them live one day and that will be the only day i am ever truly alive. i am just so grateful that they exist.
Holy S_it these guys are best F_cking rock band I've seen since first hearing AC/DC way back in the early 80's! PLEASE DON'T stop making wonderful Rock Music!
When I suggested to Rob, The Last DJ @ WUSB Stony Brook University to check them out & he hadn't heard of them & he did & played them during his morning show, he came back & you're right, Barbara, "My kind of band." That was a joyous moment for me turning a friend on to The Darkness. BAV
Freddie would be very proud indeed, they would do a great version of Tie Your Mother Down. The Darkness are probably the most underrated band of all time, Dan is a phenomenal guitarist
“Love on the rocks” live is the greatest thing ever. Was at a show of theirs and touched Justin on the leg as he went thru the crowd....was so stoked. They are the best, funnest concert I’ve ever been to. Absolutely rocked the place. Amazing performers
The director was probably obsessed with their faces rather than showing what they were doing with instruments. Of course, it is a pleasure to watch Dan's face all day long, he is blessed with special beauty, but we need to observe what he was doing with his hands!
Goose pimples all over for this awesome band a unique & unrivalled combo of Queen, Quo, AC⚡️DC & Thin Lizzy, with an incredible lead voice & attitude to match that saved us from much of the mainstream crap of the 90’s & beyond.... Love this band xxxxx :D

Two of the most underrated rock guitarists to come out of the UK. Everyone picks fault with Justin’s voice as a joke but no one can pick fault with his lead guitar playing. The guy can pull off some serious guitar licks.

@@timeyre-swain9484 Haha cool! I first saw them when they supported Def Leppard (Great show that was), I think it was 2003. Someone slapped a flyer in my hand as I was waiting outside "Get your hands off my woman motherf**ker" it read. LOL! I was like "what the?". Anyway, from the moment they came on stage I knew at that point that they were gonna go somewhere because their stage presence rocked! I will admit that people at the time saw his voice as a gimmick and thought I was a bit crackers with over optimism. I said "Give them six months and I bet you they will be more well known". Then about 6-7 months later or something Growing On Me appeared on Kerrang etc. Hahaha. They had to eat their words. After that they were selling out arenas. Good memories. I was pretty bummed about them breaking up, but it led to an interesting time after... I used to play in a band a few years later, that would support various 80s acts when they were playing in rock venues (Corporation / Boardwalk etc), and one day we got to support Stone Gods (When Justin left and the band went his own way with their tech singing). I got to have a cool hang out with Dan and he was down to earth and a good laugh. He liked talking to me because I didn't constantly pester him about his brother / his rehab etc. Another great memory right there. EDIT: I was about 15 back in 2003. So we are about the same age.
Love the band, but I guess this was filmed back when "art directors" though that cutting the video every 1sec made it look "exciting" but in fact it's just annoying to watch because I can't focus on anything interesting. Gave up after 5 mins.

@@davidwicksmusic they were awesome. Justin crowd surfed and they played so good together. We got to see Dan and Justin on the street! That was so exciting, while we were waiting to get in. So glad you’ve seen them in concert 3 times & will see them again! We met a few people who were following The Darkness’ Tour! That was amazing! Continue rocking on!🤘
shoulda seen these guys play thetford forest a few years back but was too late to order tickets, but i got tickets for their next show at the cambridge corn exchange later this month, simply cannot wait, their the best rock band the uk ever had =)

funny how back then they used to close the shows with 'Love On The Rocks...' and now ALWAYS bring it down with 'I Believe In A Thing...' not complaining, but these cats know what their signature show-stopping number is... they're still a proper rock band and bless them for that! -Swiney
I always see these comments but I disagree. I don't believe The Darkness is underrated, people in the rock world know how good they are! I think the are undervalued!
