We interview The Darkness about their 'young, blonde' new album 'Pinewood Smile', as well 'the rise of the arseclowns' Brexit, touring with Guns N' Roses, and how rock needs them now more than ever.
I love their attitude as I really (personally) don't like new music and I've loved the Darkness since I was a kid. So now they've come back and they don't care what others think and they are just rocking their socks off I love it. This is new music for me and it's something to look forward too. As i said I don't like new music so I get excited now when they bring a new album out. Keep rocking guys and keep up your amazing work 💖
I think the are underrated, listen to their songs, the Queen, classic rock influence. They have amazing songs imho, and they seem humble, honest, genuine. Rare qualities in a band nowadays.
Justin Hawkings: "I thought it wouldn't be fair to remark on it." "I call it the rise of the arseclowns." He then goes onto make a wise comment about everything outside of London being 'not so good'. Then a comment about the pound not buying a brick. I must be in the darkness on this one. He seems as clueless as anyone on what this all means. GJ.
I would also like to know what was said between them and gnr. I think the darkness is a far superior band! And probably more down to earth. No offense to the other band.
I said no offense, why the hostility? Not retarded, just not a teenage girl from the time. Justin is a superior vocalist compared to axel. Did gnr write live and let die? Of course not. Maybe do some research? Have a great day.
The darkness were a joke when they came out and have been forgotten. The gnr reunion was sold out worldwide because 30 years on they are still relevant
Is this a kind of lets say solid normal nice guys from UK ?? Name like -The Darkness-, Well I don't think so... 'Darkness' - what is dark here, the guys are completely light - The Dark-less - or - The Normalness
some songs are ok, but i think they chose the wrong producer.... the mix sounded rubbish, and on the first song i listened to, i genuinely thought there was something wrong with my laptop
