Please call out Edmonton's media everytime they deserve it. It's the biggest reason why "small market" Edmonton has a hard time keeping or developing young guys. Don't let this slide, it's a major issue, so bad that even the Toronto media world is talking about it. Our guys need our support and positive narratives. Being a critic is lazy journalism. We deserve better!
The Toronto Media can't say a word! They are why a lot of people don't like the Leafs.....Every year they talk like they are the defending cup Champs.....I can't imagine how bad they'd be if they ever actually won anything!
Maybe with Bieksa outing the media, this will ease their microscope on this team. I've always maintained for years , media's influence rubs off on the fans. Terry Jones was the worst, as soon as he got his hooks in a certain player, you knew he was 100% gone within the near future. Petri, Schultz, Arnott ... gone because of his influence. I've noticed Jim Matheson has eased up on his criticism of players lately... maybe because of his "pissy" comment with Drai. Good for Bieksa.
I’d add skinner to your list honestly. He had two goals against on his first 3 (4?) shots. Didn’t have much of a chance on either of them, but for a lot of fans they were all “here we go again……”. But after those two goals against skinner looked it down and while not tested a ton, when he was he stoned the stars. He was solid and that’s what the team needs from their goalie.
Stuart Skinner had a decent game, and that’s literally all I can ask for 😭😭. Some of those saves were nothing to sneeze at, even if he wasn’t tested all that much. But yeah, I wanted the Oilers to win, but I needed Skinner to have a good game more l, so I’m glad that we kind of got that.
Huge win for the Oil. Terrible start to the game. Under a minute in, then one goes in off Nurse. But, the Oilers were resilient and kept at it and persevered. Great game. Nice to see Clouder pump one in and Janmark, too. The team is getting that secondary scoring. Love to see it.
completely agree about McLeod’s offensive game on the wing. so happy to see it pay off. another benefit of him and Perry on the second line, is that you have an improved third line of Kane - Henrique - Holloway, who i thought also had a very strong game.
Massive game from everybody, great Nurse bounce-back. Media members being mad about his short interview can get bent. Friday is going to be the most contested game in this series. Both teams are gonna have their best. ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ OILERS TAKE MY ENERGY ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ
What a momentum swing when the 3rd shorthand goal was scored by Janmark and Brown. That goal killed the Stars. Hope they keep this momentum for next 2 games. Difficult since it's the playoff and no teams had kept momentum in round 3 but we can remain hopeful. Keeping the faith!
The thing with Brown is everyone forgets hes a bottom 6 guy.. Hes not meant to score a whole lot. Look at the work he does on the ice whether hes scoring or not, hes amazing at PK and is a very hard worker amazing backcheck and forecheck always pushing the play and pushing the tempo.. the fact hes starting to produce now is good yes but thats not his main role.. Although in the playoffs you want scoring from everyone for depth but yea Connor Brown doesnt get the credit he deserves.. been saying it ALL YEAR
They're also forgetting he had an mcl injury that could've ended his career not that long ago. This year he was playing and rehabbing that surgery at the same time.
@@BingChillinLUDUS He's honestly getting REALLY fast with his skating now too from what I've seen, especially on breakaways. He's earned every right to be on the third line at this point. I'm convinced he's one of the main reasons the Oilers have such a high PK percentage.
@@BingChillinLUDUS Also, people say the Oilers have no depth (which is BS looking at the bottom 6 score vs Dallas the past few games), but I think it's more that they're good at different things than the top 2 lines (like the PK).
Im probably wrong, but that first Dallas goal looked like it could have been knocked down by a high stick. Im surprised it wasnt even mentioned. Also, what about that elbow by Robertson on Bouch before Eks' goal?
I didn't notice a high-stick, will have to go back and look! And I didn't mention the Robertson hit on Bouch because Bouch I believe is 100% fine, and EDM got the empty netter right after. During the stream I said it should have been a penalty, as it was in the numbers but the argument the ref would make it that Bouch turned and put himself against the glass before contact. I don't like the hit personally but they did get revenge on the scoreboard 💪💪
@@AHockey1993 thanks for the reply! I wasn't expecting anyone to reply back, so it's a huge plus coming from you! This is why I think you're channel is so awesome and I watch all your videos. Keep up the great work! I'm so glad you mentioned the MEAT. Maybe it's the start of a much needed detoxing in the realm of the Edmonton Oilers. It(toxicity) has been there since the glory days, and it needs to stop.
The stars looked like they started feeling themselve in this game way to early. Im almost glad edmonton smacked them. They clearly needed it. GG oiler fans there was no doubt about that game in my opinion. Oilers kicked the stars butts. On to game 5. 🍻
I know this is a joke, but no. Don't do it. Everybody is fleeing BC for Edmonton, and Edmonton is becoming just as bad. Rent through the roof (mine has increased for 4 years consecutively and is now more expensive than my place in BC was), homelessness and drug use crisis, it's getting bad.
Maybe nurse is hesitant to play mean he has taken quite a few playoff penalties doing that in the past. But I would trade those for Derek Ryan’s penalties this year! Like Ryan’s play but hated all his penalties in the playoffs.
Is Desharnais actually a healthy scratch? I heard he is nursing something. Is there any official distinction between ‘healthy scratch’ and ‘maintenance day’?
