Rule of thumb: If there's no gameplay footage, it's goingto be bad. And in this case, yes, probably a scam. Honestly, I'm surprised this got any hype at all, zombie shooters are pretty dime a dozen nowadays. Of course, this is less of a zombie shooter, and more of a post apocalyptic walking simulator.
There was gameplay footage, but it was fake, and a lot of people didn’t know It might not’ve been a scam, they might’ve just tried to do what No Man’s Sky did, create fake gameplay to get hype and hope that enough people buy it that the game can keep being developed
@@-Mothy- huh? It was marketed as an open world mmo survival shooter. What it is is an instances, 32 player server extractions shooter. It isn’t the game it was advertised to be, that is what a scam is.
The fact there are people who not only brought this game but are willing to defend it as if the devs are somehow the victims in this situation has left me bewildered in the worst possible way. Literally everything about this game was a half-cooked putrid mess made in less than a year using a bunch of paid assets to trick as many dumb people as possible into wasting their money in their blatantly obvious scam. Is equally sad and infuriating.
@@gardenfootcreature2925 Spiderman 2 wasn't a game breaking game people want to think it is. It was buggy on launch, and for some reason it got a pass. It also had flaws that made the game underwhelming. Also TOTK was not worth 70 dollars. It was a good game, but it's a sequel to a genre defining game. Baldurs Gate has a ton of content compared to both of those games combined.
Steam recommended this game to me glad I didn’t bought into it. I don’t mine if a game reuses an assets, recycles them, or buys them as long as they give us a great game such as New Vegas and Portal.
@@edu7979 never used the word asset flipping I was just saying how I don’t mind reusing or recycling assets. It doesn’t mean it has any connection to asset flipping which I’m against.
It's shocking how quickly they threw in the towel when there was still more profit to be made than their production expense. Just the volume of bile fascination could've been a revenue stream worth milking. I guess their balls retracted at the fear of lawsuits.
I had literally never heard of this game until 3 days ago and all I heard about it then was it being a scam. It looks like a very generic Division rip off. I don't why anyone was hyped for this.
Because 2 years ago when the teaser trailer for this game first launched, it looked really promising and people were hyped for what it could potentially be. It also looked a lot more different than what you see in gameplay videos.
*as a wise man once said:* running towards the problem while hiding your fear doesn't make you discerning, these actions make you only a brief avoider, whereas confronting it with honesty sets you apart from those who merely masquerade as fearless。
The people who baught into this and continue to be keyboard warriors for a blatant scammer will never learn from their mistakes. Games like this will always make money because there will always be people dumb enough to buy into it and waste tons of their money on a product that was never intended to be finished.
They made a lot of money thanks to the streamers buying the game to review it and gain a quick buck. It was plenty obviuos it was a scam and yet they left with money in their pockets. People complain about this game after they bought it are idiots. Still, they should pay for this scam, or other studios might do it too.
If anyone is looking for an actually promising upcoming zombie survival game, look into "Blight: Survival." Medieval, rouge like, 4 player co-op. They've shown nothing but actual gameplay and behind the scenes testing. The best part is that the devs haven't asked for a single dollar. It's up there with my most anticipated games
Yknow, a game like this could exist. A big mmo zombie survival. But it realisticly wouldn't have the detail nore the graphics it has now (Edit) would unturned count? Or those minecraft mods? Hmm... seems that people really want a good game with a good vibe. If only I could code and had all the time in the world to make stuff like that
It's crazy on what people will try to defend nowadays, it literally doesn't take anything anymore for people to stand by your side. You could be stealing money very directly and obviously from them and they will still come up with excuses
deadass theres only one game i look forward to thats releasing soon and thats pacific drive cuz its the only game ive seen recently that seems like it actually has real potential update i just saw this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J72nWk8Z_88.htmlfeature=shared itll probably be shit fuck
When will people realise that if some no name company that says they are making MMO it's probably a scam. "Yes, we will make the hardest genre to make in industry with $100 K even though we only made isometric survival game before". We have seen this a hundred times in kickstarter I thought even gamers will have caught on by now.
I remember being hyped for.games as a kid and enjoying it, like halo 2 and 3 as well as fable series (even though it had its flaws) but now I can't get hyped anymore as when I do I now recognise patterns that feel like some phycologicql tqctic to get addicted, like a gambling addiction having flashing lights and jingling sounds releasing dopamine to keep.spending. Now it just leaves me angery and sad as my childhood has been bastersised for corporate greed
Never even heard of the game. But I am glad to have another AAA turd just absolutely smack the floor right before this year of horrible AAA releases ends. Just to remind us that AAA studios have generally completely lost touch with their audiences, oh, AND wallets.
I _think_ I might've seen this game before? Like,I remember seeing foorage of a PosApo city game, maybe on one of Penguinz0's stream,& also a game where the player used & over-and-under double-barreled shotgun & set up traps around some cottage. There are just so many generic zombie survival games. How did SO LITTLE predict this game sucking, given what we've seen lately?
Anyone else have a sixth sense about games that will be good or not? I have never been disappointed by games because you can just tell whether its quality by the devs or gameplay from indies... Artstyle, passion etc you can just tell. The only one imo that was a real shocker was cyberpunk 2077 on launch and even that had an amazing turn around.
This doesn’t just apply to video games, and is obvious to the point of being blatant, but If someone is trying to sell you something, don’t take their word for it. Ever.
As a Singaporean myself i had no idea Fntastic was even a Singapore based company. Either way, we dont claim or defend these guys most of us think its a scam of a game anyways.
They got an investor for sure .. even tjst money is enough for them ,, cheap produced .. the only rule was maybe to release a game .. which they did, so no possibility for the investor to sue them …. That would make sense .. even more so that they said they would not have an investor ! They lied with everything why not there also ? It would make sense .. grab as much money as possible from steam … if this fails they still have the money from investor … and the game was cheap as hell … just a few k of assets and a bit of work not more then 50-100k at most, the steam sales (those who not refund as collectors item) or just missed it ? Finance the whole game, They run with the money from the investors now, they killed all social media and now hide somewhere, It would make sense .. why they don’t care about everything, even that people are refunding they still may have gotten 1 million or more from investors over the years … the trailer where not just for us .. for investors too.. when even Nvidia Has featured them with rtx to make it more believable for investors … think about it
Don't think devs had intention to scam people, more likely they just didn't know what they were doing all along and made as many idiotic mistakes as possible. I mean it's originally was a small studio from unknown to many people autonomous region of Russia that didn't even thought to register trademark and belived it was a good idea to ask fans to help them to finish the game for free! Fntastic just get too ambitious with the Day Before never realizing that they don't have capacities to finish the project, somehow get hyped by everyone and now pays for their arrogance.
If you are one of those people who kept on persistent on this game being good despite lots if not the majority of us telling you not to buy and support it. You have nothing else to blame but yourself. Lmao Keep that L and suck it up. Shame that Anthem wasn't enough to be a lesson on the Hype games. But, here we are.
