Reminds me of “The Blood Meridian” The Narrator/main character is called “The Kid” and then later at the end “The Man”. It’s one of the greatest books ever written, when I listen to it it sounds like poetry and when I read it, it feels as if I’m reading scripture, like it actually feels important.

I have a theory on who the Stranger is: Death. All black clothing, hat, suit, tie, etc. And his disdain for both God and Lucifer would make a bit of sense as well, for Death's role is to essentially take people's lives away but because of Heaven and Hell he wouldn't be able to do that fully, for there would be an afterlife.

Catalin Sebastian While the Stranger was "preaching" about how much he hated Satan he also spoke about his hate for Angels as well. He's something else. Perhaps a being as old as God or a being from another dimension. Perhaps in a very cruel twist, he is God Himself come to test man to see if we're worthy.

Christian here: This story is unbelievably well written, and I have no doubt in my mind that the author is very skilled and talented. Although it pained me to listen to (being a Christian) I can't help but love it. There are so many diffrent ways to interpret this story, and so many underlying messages... Maybe it's Jesus if he hated God for allowing him, his only son to be crucified and did nothing to help him. And the Bible was written that he had resurrected and told people gods plan by the apostles, in an attempt to hide the fact Jesus HAD in fact resurrected, but had gone mad with rage towards God.

I've listened to this particular story 3 times in 2 weeks now. As the son of a pastor, i envisioned this personally. I work alone as a Night Janitor at a school and this literally scared me while cleaning. Goosebumps. Just...so much passion and emotion behind it. Excellent back soundtrack. You painted this so well, I could see every detail! I WAS THERE! 😳 This is easily my favorite story....

This story is so intense! I usually go for the shorter stories because the longer ones get a little dry. But from the beginning to the very last word this story kept me on edge. I love how the story was told too. With the inflections in his voice and the music matching his enthusiasm.... man. This was a REALLY good story. Keep it up!

I know this is old, but damn, this is one of the creepiest horror stories to me. I'm not really sure why, it just makes my skin crawl and my stomach churn. I don't even believe in God. But it's still uncomfortable to me. Maybe it's because the thought of God and faith is supposed to something merciful and what a lot of people look at as good, and just seeing it in such a dark light, It doesn't feel right. Most probably won't agree with me, but that's just how I felt.

Most of us are taught that but the Bible is full of horrors. Moses and his crew being told to slaughter the Midinite men, boys and non virgin females. Then for his men to take which virgin girls pleased them as wife. To cut their nails and hair as they cried for their slain parents, and live with them as wife for 30 days. At the end of 30 days if the girl no longer pleased them, then to throw them out. But since god was merciful they weren’t allowed to sell them. Not only is this amazingly written, but MrCreepyPasta did a wonderful job narrating it. This is one of my favorite stories he's read based on the uh.. not sure how to put it? How it's narrated I guess. It's really good and I get completely transfixed every time.

haha, look at you making up words such as speciesism. Man is above animals, not because he is more intelligent, but because he can control his urges unlike the lesser beings that roam this planet. An animal will eat when it's hungry, drink when it's thirsty and mate when it gets the urge. The same cannot be said for people who follow certain religions and spiritual paths. They will not become slaves of their urges, instead they will control their urges. The rest of your post is pure gibberish. The world has no problems with humans. Do you really think it cares about a certain species because it comes in a different color or it si altered slightly compared to the rest? Mankind's destruction is great, but nowhere near the destruction which happened during mass extinctions.

I did not introduce the word "speciesism" to this thread, you did. I brought up taxonomy, which is very basic biology. Humans are not and will never be above animals. This is for one simple reason, we are animals. Religion has nothing to do with this conversation, this is all science. It doesn't matter if you believe what I'm saying because at the end of the day, you're still an ape just like every single human on the planet.

I did enjoy this story, but you should listen to Scary Story Time With Liam his stories are so fucking amazing (he's an author and narrates!) , his imagery and description is simply amazing. You should try Pursuit Institute, The Mangled, Mistrust Game, Glacial Ice, hell just about all his stories are amazing tbh..

Also nicely hinting that the stranger was in fact God. "I can only do this if God allows it" "I know more about God than you"(referring to the preacher) I am what you think I am"(God is omnipresent therefore anything) "Lucifer a failed child"(God regards satan as his only failure in revelations) Rather subtle, and I may just be reading into it, but I think that conclusion rounds off the story nicely :)

+James Brewer - it's also amusing how we can assume he was punishing sinners & preformed biblical killings. We can assume Mr. Margo is abusive to his wife when the narrator says he jerks his wife by her arm. Annie was a harlot & in the old days, they were put on display and killed. And we already get the Abraham one. The wife was killed because she got in the way. I could be wrong but just a fun thought.

I love that you've been narrating such good stories lately, MCP! Your reading voice is great, but hearing a well-written story is always better than your typical Jeff the Killer trash. Not that this story doesn't have its flaws, but I just listened to one of the worst stories I've ever heard on another channel and this was a breath of fresh air.
