Feel for you guys completely I am self employed and can’t work and because I haven’t been doing it over 3 years I’m entitled to no help either I just can’t believe they would try and do that to you I am so glad they have put you on furlough with a young family also I understand the stress and worry but use this time to put energy into your online work and build and grow stay positive and know we will all be watching and supporting ❤️

So sorry you are going through this tough time. I'm in similar circumstances, I am still currently working but it always seems to change daily about if we are gonna remain open or not. I'm the only income we have coming in and we too are a family of 4 so if anything happens to my job we are gonna be in a sticky situation. I just hope that I can continue to safely work as that's another worry. My husband are kids are at home so I'm the only potential exposure they have to the virus and that plays on my mind every day. Such a tough time for everyone right now. Wow, I thought the 80% thing was automatic, I didn't realise that businesses had to apply. Seems ridiculous that a business would simply choose not to and instead choose not to support their staff. So sorry that you had to go through that, hope your family is ok

I am glad that your family is doing well and that things have worked out for you. It may not be perfect but looking at the positive side of this, we get to spend more time with our families. Thank you for this honest video. We have been/are in a similar position, husband self employed and waiting til June for help, I am on furlough from a part time job. I should add that we have successfully applied for Universal Credit, and we have been given “holidays” from mortgage and various other loans etc. God is providing for us and He will for you too. I went through the same thing, when it came out my work would be closed we got an email about how we may be getting laid off but after a few days it was announced we got furloughed and I know the feeling of being sad but also happy because it’s the best thing we could have got out of this situation! I'm so sorry for your family. I was in the position 3 weeks ago being laid off and know it's worrying. It's taken 3 weeks to be offered the 80% wage but it's been very worrying. My company I work for are still open but I was laid off because I couldn't get childcare when the schools closed. Ive been living Day by Day and putting my trust and faith in God. I am from Aberdeen too and it is so reassuring that even in our little Scottish city, there is people in the same boat too and people we can reach out to. My boyfriend is self employed and is not entitled to the 80% and the grant that is being put in place means that we wouldn't get a payment till June but it would have to be paid back... Very unfair situation as I am still currently working but my wage does not cover our rent and bills and we don't want to put ourselves in a situation where we are in debt. I feel as you did as there is no where to turn and no help at hand. We can only pray that all this ends soon and our loved ones are happy and healthy

In the exact same boat. Been furloughed until business kicks back in without pay obviously which means I’m basically not essential enough for them to keep me but they don’t want to let me go either. And the only jobs left are supermarket jobs as well but since I have asthma I don’t want to put myself in that risky situation. It’s tough. I totally understand your guys’ pain. I don't often watch yt vids anymore but always try to keep up with yours. I really feel you on this and can't sympathise enough it's such a worrying time. My partner is a sound engineer, he was self employed and suddenly has no work and no income, I work at a music venue which has inevitably closed so we are currently waiting to see what we can do. To say I am anxious is an understatement we went from being financially ready for our third baby to panicking about our finances during this pregnancy 😔 You guys are so honest and real, I felt tearful watching the beginning of this video wishing I could reach out and give you a big hug. I know it's not much but sending all my love during this unsettling time and big cuddles to those little cuties xxx

I am living in New Zealand and went through the EXACT same thing...employer panicked and fired me. after a week of asking questions, they decided to rehire me and pay 80% with a govt subsidy. I dont have a family to support and it was still heartbreaking and devastating, so my heart goes out to you guys. So happy it's been somewhat resolved and you're okay for the time being xxx

Hope you guys are ok, one thing that helps me to stay positive is; once a day when you wake up, think of all of the things you are currently thankful for ✨ remember to take one day at a time and remember this situation we are in is not permanent, although it’s not clear on exactly when we will be back to normal - it will come and you will be able to hug your parents and friends and family again ❤️

Oh guys, I’m so sorry to hear about this! 😥💔 It just sucks. So many people I care about are in the same boat. And my husband’s job is on the line too (he’s in aviation and obviously that industry has been crippled) and he still has most of his student loan...if he loses the job, our mortgage won’t happen and we’ve a baba on the way, the worry is high but also I am pushing it completely to the back of my mind! He’s currently not flying at all but they’ve put them all on call even though there are no flights to pay them 50% of what they usually get...he’s one of the newest pilots though so if they need to fire people after all this it’s very likely he’ll be first gone. It’s just such a wild time. But goodness those kids, they are so adorable, shift alllllllll of your attention to them every chance youse get they will help you both through! xxxxxc

I hope that everyone in the world knows that they aren't alone in this. We are all struggling mentally with all the unknown questions and concerns. For the sake of everyone in the world please stay home if you are not essential. It only takes one case to make this all start up again. Here where I live we have shelves where people are donating food and books and movies to people in need. Come take what you need and leave what you can. Check in on your neighbors if you can at a distance of course. We will get through this.

My job ended on the 31st March this was decided before the virus, I now have to ensure my redundancy package lasts until I can find a new job and get a wage after all this is over.... my husband has been furloughed now so we are just trying to make the most of being together as a family and taking care of each other and others as best we can x

so glad to know it worked out. i must say, that isn't a company you wanna work for...obviously I don't know everything but as soon as you can get the change to move on - I would! it's interesting hearing all the different stories, and fact you weren't put on in the first place and only offered a weeks pay is horrendous. I'm not religious but I truly no believe in a door closing another will open or everything happens for a reason.
