She's one of the very few that can do justice to Chris' songs. Listen to her doing Rusty Cage, Like a Stone and Say Hello to Heaven. She rocked her songs on the Chris Cornell Tribute gig also. 🥰🥰🥰
I love it ! Krist lost it in the beginning and picked it up before you even notice . And that's fucking okay you know why ? Because Krist fucking Novaselic that's fucking why!! This rules
Taylor Momsen manages to invoke the golden age Grunge vibe well, her voice is perfectly suited for all kinds of music, although it is sweet it manages to be raspy and grating at the same time. She does justice in every tribute she has been to date, she always ends up picking more than one song, all the musicians involved obviously enjoy collaborating with her. Hawkins' tribute she was a last minute guest and without rehearsing did two songs, Soundgarden's she was only going to do Loud Love, and got three more songs without rehearsing. She is one of the best things that happened to rock n roll in the last decade, a real gift.
@@michellecampbell2465 She was a multimillionaire child and teen actress Who is now trying to pass herself as a “grunge rocker”. There are videos of her as a teen showing everyone her custom-made Chanel wardrobe, and photos of her hanging out with Lindsay Lohan at fashion week. But now people like to pretend like that stuff never happened and that she’s just some underground rocker when in reality she’s a millionaire actress
@@purpledove7008 She quitted acting over a decade ago. Her band, The Pretty Reckless, is the first female-fronted act to have six No. 1 singles on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart. Sorry your butt hurts.
@@sfer1 lol her “record-breaking success” is due to the fact there are no fucking rock bands out anymore. I can literally name on one hand all the female front rock bands out in music today. That is how little competition she has. If she had any competition she would not be anywhere. And her having hundreds of thousands of followers from her acting career it doesn’t hurt her success. Frankly in today’s music market any hack could be selling billions of records, it means nothing. Justin fucking Bieber and Billie Eilish are breaking records. Billie Eilish just won like 8 Grammys. Do you know how hard it was to win a Grammy back in the day? It was so hard. Not anymoreAll you need today is to be attractive and have a following and you will be setting records and selling millions. This was not the case back when you had to be good in order to sell
Pink nails almost anything she tries. Rockers have tried their best to deny that fact for 20 years because of the hip-hop background, but she's the real deal.
@@Frankie45917 Well it is the entire reason why she got handed a record deal. Just like Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, they never worked to get where they were. They were all multi millionaire actresses who got handed record deals to become singers. She will always be an actress turned the singer. And I will never take her seriously.
@@purpledove7008 lol then you're missing out, not sure if you listened to this performance but it was pretty stellar, most actresses can't do that for sure!
@@LynetteHerbrink I honestly believe Miley Cyrus did a better job than this. I am not a fan of Miley‘s music by any means but she can sing. As far as Taylor, “the day I tried to live” she did an ok job on. Black hole Sun she butchered
@@Dean_Winchester__ the pretty reckless were opening for soundgarden when Chris killed himself. Understandably, it totally fucked her up. Chris was one of taylor's idols.
Easily the best vocal performance of the Tribute. I am shocked. She needs highest caliber accompaniment and she can rise to the occasion. So much pain.
Her band the pretty reckless are badass... But we are in dark times when a ridiculously hot female RAWK front woman can't sell out an arena. If taylor was doing her thing in the early aughts... She'd rule the charts!
I'd heard of her but not really checked anything out. Figured shebwas for the kiddies. Takes alot to impress me because these days people say everything is good or great. We live in an age of embellishments. Color me impressed, though. She hit it out of the park. Chris would be happy. You go girl! RIP Chris
This performance really impressed me, because besides her singing, you can see how emotional she was and how she was feeling what everyone else was feeling in the audience.
