Hhaahahhah, omg, pls stop watching tennis than, both Djokovic and Nadal mopped the floor with him so many times, I mean guy has won just a couple of slams in the last 10 years and if you look at the other 2 they won more than 10 each.

I love the umpire’s way of saying “GAME! FEDERER!” When the crowd was so loud he had to yell into the mic. People just get so hype over Fed that they don’t for any other player and it’s amazing. He truly is the biggest star tennis has ever had
Watching Roger Federer is such a treat for the eyes, he moves so gracefully, he hits his shots so cleanly. No one will ever match him for beauty and grace of play.
@Rafa undisputed Goat Careful... just as Covid has stopped the eagle somewhat same could happen to the bull. If he gets Covid he wouldn't be able to play. @@hamzaabbaszaidi8788 why sad memories? You should be glad to have lived in a tennis era dominated by three of the all time greats Federer, Nadal and Djokovic!
@@dooboodot yeah, you’re right. I’m lucky enough to have seen all 3 legends play live in the stadium. I’ve seen Federer and Djokovic live in Dubai many times and I saw them both at Wimbledon 2018 as well. As for Nadal, I saw him play an exhibition match once but I also got to meet him and play with him because I won a kids tournament in Abu Dhabi. I have a hat signed by him and another one signed by Federer. So I would consider myself to be quite a lucky guy. But still, there’s nothing wrong with having a favorite, and it’s kinda sad to think about how close Federer was and how much he deserved it.
AKA What Would Happen All The Time If Court Speeds Hadn't Been Slowed Down to A Crawl. Every fast hard court Roger and Nole have ever played on - Dubai, Cincy, Shanghai? Roger has won all but 2 matches - Dubai in 2011 and 2018 Cincy final. The slower courts (hard courts and the now excruciatingly slow grass at Wimbledon!) is where Roger has trouble beating Djokovic. Otherwise Roger is 8-2 against Djokovic on fast hard courts - 3-1 in Dubai, 3-1 in Cincy and 2-0 in Shanghai. As I always like to say - what would Roger's Slam total be in the tournaments hadn't slowed down the courts in 2008-2009 because he had dominated the previous 5 years? I know some people are going to say that's not the only reason the courts were slowed down - but the end result was the same.
Yes, and that’s an understatement! It is pure elegance, simple in its magnificent beauty and most likely the reason he’s been much less prone to injuries despite his long career. Unfortunately, there comes a time when even the Maestro succumbs to the inevitable…I hope he fully recovers from his latest surgery.
I will never get tired of watching Federer’s play. He moved so effortlessly and has that impossibly tricky backhand that catches you off guard. Such a joy to watch.
I remember watching this live. Everybody always says 2015 Djokovic was the best player we’ve ever seen but that year was Federer’s best year in which he didn’t win a Slam. He was actually 3-3 against Novak on hard court, and overwhelmed him constantly with SABR and his revamped volleys.
@@jboww2121 he had the best tournament at us in 5 years, but djokovic was in the form of his life. This is one of those matches that fed might have won if they were the same age, after 2014 his stamina level reduced drastically.

I miss watching these matches on Sunday mornings with my dad 😢 Federer gave me so many father-son moments. We used to scream and shot and cheer for him together 😊
@@mikerzisu9508 Your opinion isn´t a fact. I could name countless players with more beautiful games. Federer´s net play in particular is not impressive, there have been many better (and more elegant) volleyers than him.
This Federer, the Federer that comands each point and putts all in each stroke, is completely unbeateble. And his tennis become the best tennis ever played in the game history. His best tennis is far away from the best tennis played by any other player.

True because if he plays like this it's because Djokovic isn't doing enough to keep him at bay. When Djokovic is on his game, Federer isn't allowed to play like this
Federer restera pour toujours le magicien du tennis. Dans cette partie le maestro nous délivrait un récital offensif. Merci pour toutes ces émotions et le bonheur que tu as transmis à des millions de fans.❤
I started watching tennis because of roger when I was 12 y/o en 2006 , and I fell in love with this sport . He will always be my favorite , his style is just so beautiful to watch . But as much as I love him I also love Novak and Rafa , and we can't argue that Novak is rightfully gonna earn the title of GOAT , numbers don't lie and I can recognize that . It's impressive how he has been able to Stand in front of two monsters like Roger and Rafa and just be able to catch up and break their records . What a beautiful time to be alive and witness sports.
@@AppleSauceSays I THINK 37 YEARS FED WAS BETTER THAN 32 YEARS OLD RAFA & 31 YEARS OLD D-JOCKER .YOU CAN EASILY WIN AND PLAY BETTER THAN YOUR GRANDFATHER WHO WAS RETIRED NATIONAL PLAYER IN 1995 BUT YOU ARE IN GULLY LOCAL PLAYER IN 2023.TIME SPEAK AS WELL. JUST PUT IT IN YOUR MIND.
Federer was unbeatable when he didn't sabotage himself with his mind. That's what Novak was better than any of the big 3 with. I think he was forced to master that given crowd's affinity for Roger and Rafa. He almost does it out of spite. I think Fed showed in many matches against Djoker that he was the more talented player, but sometimes faltered mentally at the end, making Novak the better mentally. I guess whoever you pick as the GOAT depends on which of those things you value more. For me, I'll take Roger, because it's fun watching him in beast mode, where literally no one can stop him, even prime Novak. I also think Fed's more "human" mental strength, if you can call it that (I mean, the guy has 20 slams, ffs), is what appeals to many about him. Knowing that generally, the win is on his racket if he keeps it together, but that he may not at times, makes you pull for him. I Think the fact that Fed was so much better and so dominant over the field for multiple years may have actually stunted his growth. I mean, look how long it took him to switch to an updated racket that helped him massively once he finally did. Pride may have played a role in that. This doesn't take into account the changing of the courts over the years (drastically slowing down), the difference in the field during that time, etc. For example, I think Novak would've been an all time great regardless, but he wouldn't have won 20 slams had the courts remained the speed they were in the early 2000's, and Fed likely would've had 5 or 6 more, given how scary he is on faster courts. Either way, Fed won nearly 10 more slams after the speed started decreasing. So much goes into picking "the greatest" in anything. That's made all the harder when you're still in the moment. I think only history will pick between the big 3, and regardless of my own opinion, I don't fault anyone who picks Rafa or Novak as their greatest. Let's look at everything again in 20 years and see who says what.
Good points but don't think you'll have to wait 20 years to ascertain that assuming everyone's around then. 5 years TOPS ie. after Nole and Rafa have retired.
I'm a federer fan cause his movement and the way he can switch his game multiple times during a game is fantastic to watch. I reapect rafa and nole immensely but their game is a bit boring for me. I've never watched a full match when these to play each other it bores me to death. They wait for their opponent to make a mistake ( they try to be a wall, returning every ball, waiting for an opening) We are blessed to live in the same era as these legends and fighting over who is the GOAT only ruines the amount of respect all of them deserve

I remember this match. Novak was playing his best tennis. Federer at his best is just on another level though. Also, converting break points and serving so clutch. I hope we see this form again before it's over.
They had a great match in Dubai the previous year which Federer also won. It wasn’t a coincidence - Dubai is a quicker court. That’s how simple these rivalries are. Quicken it up and Federer wins. Keep slowing down Wimbledon and Djokovic becomes the king of grass. Their skill is so close that it comes down to external factors.
Back then when Federer used to unleash the Maestro mode so easily! He is unparalleled. I have the utmost respect for Rafa but Roger is just from another planet.

First set point he hits a second serve to the line and puts Djokovic on the back foot throughout the rally until Roger finishes him at the net. Second set point he cracks a serve down the line which Djokovic barely gets his racquet on
When federer is on, he has dominated novak like this many times when he’s past his prime and novak is in his prime, usually on fast hard courts, dubai and cincy mainly (and shanghai 2014). Masters 1000 and atp 500 hard court tournaments in 2014/2015 he would often destroy novak but froze up in the slams and a lot of important finals. He’s had very good showings at the round robin stages of the atp finals. But novak doesn’t seem to have showings where he thrashed federer (outside of AO). Many of his recent wins over fed have been extremely close, their match at the Paris masters where it was 3 tiebreaks or whatever, wimbledon finals, uso final and semifinals. Indian wells. I think fed can do this bc the nature of his aggressive game which is dependent on getting flow and rhythm and he becomes unstoppable when he gets that rhythm. Fed pushes the play and creates the tempo of the match. Novak is very reactive and tends to counterpunch and even if he’s consistent and gets the majority of their recent matches, he can’t blow fed off the court like roger can to him. He just doesn’t have the aggressive and attacking game that federer can produce. And when federer does, wowwww it’s magical. It’s an honor to be alive when he’s playing.
@@viksinha5410 federer won against Novak at least 10 times in 3 sets or 5 sets depending is it slam or another tournament . Pretty one sided I would say

Wow, what a service! In this match, Federer looks invincible. See the helplessness of Djokovic in the face of the power of Federer. Well done Magic Federer !
@DALIYA SARKER It’s every fan base. Countless Fedfans use age as an excuse for every year past 2007 despite praising his longevity, which is a huge double standard, Djokovic fans act like any wins over him before 2011 don’t count, Nadal fans talk about injuries. Honestly, there’s truth to all of those things, but they’re pretty overdone by most fanbases
Fed is technically the best player ever: so effortless, so brilliant, so good! He has that special gift that the others don't have (but they are also fantastic players)
Yeah, Federer is the most complete. 🤣🤣🤣That is why he couldn't ever win Nadal on the clay and the last time he won GS over Djokovic was a decade ago in 2012. You are completely deranged

Wow! At the same time,if we see also, Djokovic would be thinking: he had break points opportunities so many times and couldn't convert them..this says, even thougj Roger was playing light out tennis, Djokovic was very much in the game.. probably felt at some movements, Djokovic looked emotionally down, can't say that this carried on or he expressed it out and let it go and then concentrated on the next point, which he so remarkably does.. A good highlights..thanks for uploading it.
On flip side, “prime roger” was less powerful, had weaker backhand, less tactically intelligent and less experienced/knowledgeable. You do know that this version of roger is actually better than “prime roger” right?
actually Djokovic played good too like he was about to break most of the times ..but Federer just changes gear and closes the game.. that backhand is like nowhere seen... straight down the line .. changing the direction of ball...only he can pull such classy strokes.. that's why it's always treat to watch him play like that ..no matter how many slams others win..
Oh my god....ROGER, we miss you so much!!! There will be another DJokovic, hardly another Nadal, but no chance to see another Federer. Too much class and elegance in a single player.
Watching Novak is sheer pleasure, just another dimension of the game, one of the kind. That is why he is the goat....+ THE FACT THAT HE IS LEADING IN LITERALLY ALL STATS AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAGAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, since RF left Nike, he now has complete control over what he wears via his new clothing line. He can now use the RF logo as Nike had exclusivity until just recently.
You know, Roger is 6 years older than Novak. And 6 years is a big difference - especially when you are at the end of your career (as Roger is). I take nothing away from Djokovic - he is amazing. But hard to compare them in their prime because of the age difference. I'm just glad I lived in the era of the big three (of course we can't leave out Nadal) and got to see all this wonderful tennis.
@@huzcer Disagree. It was a lot of things. Roger was a better player when Novak started his career. He dominated the young Novak - was that "mental". No. Novak got the better of Roger late in Roger's career - because Roger got OLD. Is that "mental"? No. Roger, Rafa, and Novak are all very close in greatness. That's why there is always a debate about the GOAT among these three. To me, Roger is the best of the big three - because he is the most skilled. He is just a better tennis player - period. That's why I call him the GOAT. Sure he fell behind in GS wins - but he is 5 and 6 years older than Novak and Rafa - and that has been to their advantage late in Roger's career. Novak and Rafa are now approaching the end of their careers. Is there a player (or TWO), that is 5 years younger than them, with double-digit GS's under their belts? Nope. But that is what Roger had to deal with in his waning years. Roger had the greatest peak of any men's professional tennis player ever. He is my GOAT.
@@antoniomarine1567 even in Wimbledon 2019 it was far more mental than physical. Federer last beat Djokovic in a slam when Federer was still only 30 and didn't retire for over another decade. Federer could still beat Nadal who is only a year older than Djokovic off clay in slams (was never a competitor to Nadal on clay), but not Djokovic.
@@huzcer When you're 36 and playing in a Wimbledon final against a 6 year younger, 20+ GS winner, you can tell me how "not physical" it was. Age matters in every sport - despite your opinion. When Roger was 30, his H2H against Novak was 16-8 in Roger's favor. Roger also had 16 GS by then to Novak's 4. It was also the year Roger had a groin injury - and the first year in 8 years straight that he didn't win a GS. So I'm not sure what your point is.
@@antoniomarine1567Djokovic wasn't even playing that well and Federer was. Federer had two match points on his own serve and went into full mental midge t mode making terrible shot decisions and not being able to make a good serve. Once again the biggest determinator was mental as it was at the us Open 2010 and 2011 also. No wonder that Federer's deciding 5th set win rate over his career is only 58% over more than 55 matches which shows that in the biggest career matches in the 5th set Federer was actually mentally below average to close it out. He's not even remotely near the Wikipedia list for that. Djokovic is 78% . Again the point was biggest determinator was mental between them and it was.
The trauma of Wimbledon 2019 Finals against Novak just doesn't go out of mind. It was so close 😫. Wish he was as calm as this when he was 40-15 & serving for championship point. Somehow in GrandSlams Devil 😈 starts dancing in Fed's mind against same set of players.
Federer is indeed the most attractive, gorgeous, graceful, talented, tenacious, inspiring and lovable tennis player of all times. Include his philanthropic and charitable endeavors and we conclude that he's simply the best!
Wouldn’t we all, but sadly his miracle come back days are over. We’ll be lucky to see him play well in a handful more matches. Man’s 40 with a bad knee.
Sadly ppl are watching this and saying he is unmatchable. This is an atp 500. They seem to forget what novak did to him in the slams that year. Thank goodness you're a sane one
when was this? if Federer this fit, I think it's very difficult for anyone to outplay him. The variety of the ball is amazing and I still love the backhand :)
To everyone saying Djokovic is playing badly: remember these are highlights for one player only, so you can expect them to be largely subpar points from the other player's side. We'd really need the full match to judge both players' overall performance. We know the score, though.
