I watched Federer, Nadal and Novak too many times live matches. Federer is a magic touch like a wizard. Nadal has a spin you would never imagine it’s exist when u see it live. But also, what Djokovic does when you him live isn’t the same when you see it in tv, on tv he’s a base liner who never misses. Live matches when u watch Djokovic you think how on earth this depth and focous can be held for 4-5 hours, and also how quick he’s around the court and his underestimated serve the guy is invincible

He is a man of steel nerves. Federer did not have that mental edge Nadal & Djokovic have, though he certainly has had moments of resiliency throughout his career. Which courts are fast? Grass? He lost to Djokovic in 3 Wimbledon finals 2014, 2015, 2019. Hard court in AO? Federer only beat Djokovic in 2007, ok because he was at peak and Djokovic was too young. But then Djokovic beat him 4 times 2008,2011,2016,2020. Please don’t tell me that in 2008 Federer was too old and past his peak already. The records speak for themselves. Federer is NOT unstoppable on fast courts. Djokovic is AT LEAST equal to him but I don’t want to say BETTER.

I posted this in another comments section but it bears repeating: If you look at their career h2h record at arguably the 3 fastest courts they played each other on - Dubai, Cincy and Shanghai - Federer's record is 8-2 vs Novak (and this sample stretches into and across Novak's period of dominance). If the court speed favoured it, Federer's aggressive tennis tended to trump Novak's defense.

A rookie Novak Djokovic by the age of 21 had 6 wins over so called prime Federer who was busy beating Baghdatis, Philippoussis, Nalbandian, Gonzalez, Ferrer who never won a single ATP Masters tournament let alone a grandslam and players like one time GS winner like Safin, Roddick. That was the level of competition. Seriously. The era of Sampras and Agassi was much better. Now, look at the Era of Novak Djokovic: Federer himself, Nadal, ( against Nadal and Federer 110 matches combined), Murray, Wawrinka, Delpotro ( all slam winners), next Gen pop in ( Medvedev, Theim, Zverev, Tsitsipas; again slam winners and ATP Masters winners), the next genZ pop in ( Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune, Rude; Slam winners and ATP Masters winner). Djokovic's Era has seen some of the highest level of competition. It's not even debatable. In the last decade of his career, Federer's only victory against Novak came in Cincinnati where he cried like a baby, coz he was hammered by Novak in the mast 10 meetings. PS: Roger Federer never taught Djokovic how to not choke in clutch moments. 😊

I agreed about Roger having a easy ride until Nadal and Djokovic came but 😎 ...............best era you say !! Let`s take look at Sampras , Agassi`s era ; 1990-2002 Most people would agree that its easier to win a GS than to become number one , and too stay there is a hole other ball game ! In Sampras period these people hit the number one spot ; Edberg,Boris,Jim, Pete, Andre, Muster; Marcelo( only runner up in GS) , Carlos , Kafelnikov, Rafter , Marat, Gustavo, Hewitt......and they won together 42 Slams , THATS hard competition ! This is NOT one hit Slams wonder , they are the real deal ! To win slams AND to take the number one Ranking ! There was hard competition though the years to end as number one ! And right here Sampras took 6 year in a row , a record still standing ! Besides those tough guys there were ALSO GS winners who could beat anybody on a good day ; Michael Stich, Richard Krajicek, Goran Ivanisevic , Petr Korda ! So lets go to Federer`s , Nadal`s and Djokovic's era ; 2004- 2021 In this period these people hit the number one ranking ; Federer, Nadal, Novak , ...........and Murray .................that`s it ! This is 17 years we are talking about ! Where is the next young gun ? And where were they 10 years ago ? The big 3 was great of course , but the next 2-4 generation of players was not ! Very weak field in 17 years ! First in 2022 Medvedev (26) and Carlos(20) took the number one ranking for a short while ! Which era strikes you as the hardest ?

This was peak Djokovic (a consistence player) against clearly-out-of-his-peak Federer (a brilliance player). They have to be considered two players in just the same league, the best league ever... It's quite normal that the "prime" one has an advantage over the "much post prime" one, and it's even more normal that best of five matches are the exact situation that greatly favors the prime player between the two, and even more being a consistence player. It's not like we have to extract particular revelations from this statistique. They're two monsters, and they're very very hardly going to lose a big match best of 5 in which age is giving them a big advantage. Federer lost only one slam match vs young Djoko just because he was notoriously infected by mononucleosis, Nole instead was extremely close to lose only in their last Wimbledon final (but the urge to finish the match the soonest possible, fearing the raising fatigue, somewhat slowed Roger's arm)... their 2015 final was certainly close, but without such desperate situations like "Federer serving 2 consecutive match points". That's completely normal, period.

They claim slam winners like Hewitt, Roddick and Safin were 'weak era', while claiming Tsitsipas, Ruud and Anderson are all time greats. Of Djokovic's last 12 slam wins, only 3 were against slam winners and one of those was Delpo! So the weak era seems to belong to Djokovic.

A rookie Novak Djokovic by the age of 21 had 6 wins over so called prime Federer who was busy beating Baghdatis, Philippoussis, Nalbandian, Gonzalez, Ferrero who never won a single ATP Masters tournament let alone a grandslam and player like one time GS winner like Safin, Roddick. That was the competition. Now, look at the Era of Novak Djokovic: Federer himself, Nadal, ( against Nadal and Federer 110 matches combined), Murray, Wawrinka, Delpotro ( all slam winners), next Gen pop in ( Medvedev, Theim, Zverev, Tsitsipas; again slam winners and ATP Masters winners), the next gen Pop in ( Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune, Rude; Slam winner and ATP Masters winner). Djokovic's Era has seen some of the highest level of competition. It's not even debatable.

The weak era is such a pathetic argument, I can bring up examples for Djokovic that claim that this era is incredibly weak compared to his standards. Djokovic has been at the right place at the right time and by far has worked super hard to come up at the elite level, he should be admired and respected for that.
