Her fight, never giving up, and defeating her own Serena Slam stress, an insired opponent and the entire Centre Court crowd at Wimbledon 2015 Round 3. The champion refuses to lose! Please like and subscribe!
@Witaminka B12 lol. Haters gotta hate she still richer than you and got 23 slams. Sad skinny white men triggered by Serena but still defend sharapova who is clearly wrong. But anyway carry on your lies are interesting 😂✌🏾🥰😍
@@pariswebb5252 Exactly! And neither has had a chicken or a child, or had to endure the blatant racism and cheating Serena Williams has. Where are they today and where is Serena? Yeah, I thought so. "Let's go, Serena! Let's go!"
This is probably one of my favorites. This one truly defines her as a GOAT. I couldn't think of any player that can match the mental toughness that she had that day. Not only did she won the match against Watson, she also beat the CROWD.
This match is an example of why I love Serena, rude disrespectful crowd, at one point Serena says to entire stadium"I'm not the one"lol Love it! I truly thought it wasn't Serena's day and that she wouldn't survive but she proved me wrong, when Serena can surprise this late in her career it sums up her unquestionable level of greatness.
guys, everyone is one upping the original person commenting. read between the lines. Have you ever seen a Wimbledon crowd like this??? if so, post a link... esp with a top player and wimbledon champion.... sometimes we forget to think a little, before we redpind/attack with a reply... Serena's victory lap right now-is a very cool, historic moment! may even beat agassi's farewell speech. great moments are so cool!
Very unlike the Wimbledon crowd but the crowd didn’t help Heather I don’t think. Still this crowd is no where near as bad as the US Open, French Open, Canadian Open crowd.
That crowd was very disrespectful they couldn't handle chocolate Serena taking over the court!!!😅😅..my girl shut them up quickly including the commentators☝️
I remember watching this match and being so invested that I felt every painful mistake that Serena made. It was exhausting but she pulled through and won the whole thing. Great fighting spirit.
@@carrerau7138 I gave my thoughts on the match and didn't ask for a rebuttal! If you think otherwise, fine; however, you writing some paragraph is NOT going to change my opinion about Serena.
@@carrerau7138 Obviously you're a newbie, if you think I give AF. Write a thesis for all I care, still not going to change my mind...which is why you got all bent over my comment! hehehe
Although Heather played amazing tennis here, she has never been a threat to Serena. Indeed, ladies & gents, this is why Ms. Williams is undoubtedly the GOAT. She has nothing to prove to anyone. Her legacy is set in stone and history books will acknowledge that for always. "Let's go, Serena!"
@@stevefoster4326 Yes, but for obvious reasons a lot of people in tennis don't give 32-player, Australian-only, amateur titles the same value as 100-player, international, professional Open era slams. Same on the mens side. The debate is realistically between serena, steffi and martina, and I'd probably give the edge to serena
Serena is never more thrilling than when she is up against an opponent who is playing her best while Serena is playing poorly. You can see it happen; there is always a moment in which you see her frustrated & struggling........and then Serena the champion, the GOAT, the physically, emotionally, and mentally commanding Tennis Amazon rises, refusing to quit, determined to destroy even the most stacked odds. It is a fierce, humbling, and awe inspiring thing to see because it often occurs literally in between the last volley played and the next one to come. Her spirit visibly rises, after which Serena pretty much turns into Wonder Woman and crushes everything in front of her.
@@mandoist I am. Right now. By asking you to provide some sort of concrete details that show you to be more than the average, everyday, trollish Serena h8er . Ball's in your court, to make a not particularly good tennis pun.
And this is why I love her. People can say what they want. When she is not being cheated by umpires, rude dishonest opponents, linemen, when her and the opponent are allowed to just play the game, win or lose, Serena is the ultimate athlete and sportsman.
@@AJ-cv9zf I took the OP's use of 'the worst' as just meaning very bad. I agree she has been treated the most badly in the US with Indian Wells being the worst in my view.
@@iago07 It's a British crowd supporting the British player. I don't think it has anything to do with race. Wimbledon fans usually love Serena. Also Heather Watson is mixed race!
Serena's mental prowess has always amazed me. To watch her go for blood when she is under pressure is truly a site. I have never seen an athlete do what she does consistently.
I was a fan from day one when I first saw her and Venus play, those cute little girls with the white beads in their braided hair. When she won the aussie open in 95 I was hooked, cheering for her every chance I had! Truly inspiring figures, both of them, for men and women 💙
Don't know who you are Tennis Top Shots, but I thank God for you! Giving this woman her due credit and honor is long overdue. Yeah, I thumbs upped your video, but I also just subscribed. Thanks so much for this and all your vids. God bless Serena Williams and God bless you!
I remember exactly what I was doing during this match. I had to stop watching I was so nervous (though I kept it on in the background) and started working on planting and cleaning up my terrace lol. Of course, I eventually sat back down and couldn't believe she pulled it off after 2 breaks down. Ok I could but still! NAIL BITER!
not sure if you have it but there is another example of a comback vs azarenka at the aussie open where serena was down 4-1 in the second set with a set down, and she came back to win the match and the tournament! love those wins!!
@@tennistopshots6346 oh that would be awesome! thank you for the link! if there is every an example of a momentum shift in tennis that match is a perfect example! thank you for the vids!
@@teddyoneills You have every characteristics of a dumbass idiot, and I'm being kind. Court and those of her generation were playing lawn tennis, no power no finess, they did nothing more than slow walked the ball over the net. It wasn't until Martina Navratilova came along in the late 60's early 70's was real tennis introduced to the women's game, then along came the GOAT. Serena is the GREATEST, stop being a fool, don't come for me or Serena without receipts!
This was a match where at times Serena's game and the fans turned on her. However Serena persevered. I look at the young players today and they look for the motivation of the crowds not realizing that once you reach the pinnacle of excellence that same crowd that cheered for you will now crucify you. What made Serena, Roger, Nadal and Novak great is that they believe more in themselves than the crowd.
Imma need for Serena to watch this match and HARNESS ALL this GOAT energy into the next grand slam she enters this year. Where has this Serena been in these slams lately...especially those finals and semifinals :( sighs
I’m on here quite often and didn’t realize how important people that create this content is. Probably cause so wrapped up in the other junk here. I’ve appreciate these videos so much over the years. Thank you!
this was the worst crowd ever- plus, watson got all happy when she won a point even though it was serena who hit it out or hit the net. it’s not like watson hit some amazing winner.
Australian tennis player Margaret Court. She won 64 Grand Slam events (24 singles, 19 doubles, 21 mixed doubles), which is a record for a male or female player. Her 24 Grand Slam singles titles and 21 in mixed doubles are also all-time records for both sexes. She achieved a career Grand Slam in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. She is one of three women to have achieved the calendar year Grand Slam in singles (alongside Steffi Graf and Maureen Connolly), and is the only woman to have achieved the mixed doubles Grand Slam, which she did twice. Court won more than half of the Grand Slam singles tournaments she played (24 of 47). She won 192 singles titles before and after the Open Era, an all-time record.[1] Her career singles win-loss record was 1,177-106, for a winning percentage of 91.74 percent on all surfaces (hard, clay, grass, carpet), is also an all-time record. She won at least 100 singles matches in 1965 (113-8), 1968 (107-12), 1969 (104-6),[2] 1970 (110-6),[3] and 1973 (108-6).[4] She won more than 80 percent of her singles matches against top 10 players (297-73) and was the year-end top ranked player seven times.
It Is Universal Knowledge That When Serena is fit and without pre-existing injuries and she sets her mind to playing and she focuses, no Female Tennis Player is Better on The Planet!!!. She has recently Become A Mother and she has not dedicated herself to rapidly return to the Athlete she was but she is coming back as she showed in Australia 2021. She threw the match against Naomi away after leading 2-0; but she will soon resolve that issue; the stumbling Block, that wall. She did the same against Sharapova who in my observation and historically actually plays better than Osaka!!!
Serena had always been my fav. I remember watching this match and my I was all over the place. I couldn't sit still, I stood up, shouted at the TV and threatened to divorce my husband 😂😂😂😂 !! All because Serena was loosing! Then I remember that the Master of the game is playing with a student. Serena the GOAT.
Serena wasn't lying when she says her opponents tend to play their best tennis against her. Heather W. was playing inspired tennis that day. Hasn't reached that level since.
This show us that when we fight and not give up we can win and that’s what I’m going to do forward when I play tennis to I wanna be like Serena and Osaka
Looking back on this video again, I can obviously admire Serena’s fight again (which I did), but also I had a different thought. This had to be the greatest thrill that Watson had, even though she lost. She was an unseeded player playing in her home slam, on Centre Court, against a then-5 time Wimbledon champion and current number one, AND having won the last 3 slams!!! I know for me, win or lose, having this experience to have Rafa or Roger on the ropes on Arthur Ashe would be incredible! I hope Heather thinks the same for this match!
Serena shown us how HISTORY WAS... THE BLACK PEOPLE ARE KING AND QUEEN (still) You can tell...😁look how she dealt with a hundred RACIST PEOPLE who booing and yelling at HER ..❤️ SHE IS THE QUEEN ...!!!
The absolute best thing to watch is her rip the heart out of the audience who has the caucasity to boo her for speaking to the Chair. Her opponent played a heck of a game but second sucks kiddo and you are playing Ms. Williams so take a seat.
I put it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OVttp8HECsM.html but the end messed up so the full version is in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FV2Gwewuh2k.html
This was not a bad crowd. It was a crowd watching their homegrown underdog go up against the goat. I agree that Serena was amazing to overcome that energy though.
You are soooo wrong. Watson (unseeded)was playing infront of a home crowd. They were rooting for her but at the same time rude and disrespectful to Serena. That's why Serena answered them. Your gaslighting bullsh*t is so lame. Rewatch, see and enjoy Serena's greatness.
a lot of Serena fans won’t applaud Tomljanovic for beating Serena against the crowd. She had the entire crowd for her on home ground and because it was her final tournament yet Ajla stayed mentally strong. It’s the exact same situation roles reversed.
