Elated at this Mayo win and had bittersweet feelings when, as a Tyrone man, we beat them in the final. Especially given the way we limped out of defending that title. IMO Mayo lost to Tyrone as they probably thought we've beaten the dirty Dubs and maybe complacency crept in. Mayo's day will come and I'll celebrate it as if it's my own county. They have contributed so much to the thrill and enjoyment of gaelic games. Long may they continue to do so.

As someone from Mayo I have absolutely loved the chase over the years, and so has almost everyone from mayo I know. Should we win the All ireland I will be delighted for as long as that will last but I will miss the chase for the last 20 years that we have been up with the big boys. I don't think as a mayo man I could ever have the feeling again. Mayo getting to and losing so many finals has changed me as person. I think it's the chase and all the fun that comes with it that Mayo people enjoy. I can honestly say I'm a mayo man that don't care weather we actually win it or not. Yes I would love to win it but I really would miss that chase.
Mayo and Dublin two best teams of last 10 years . Loved watching them both playing and as a neutral i hope mayo can bring Sam to mayo on Saturday . They are a great bunch of players who have giving so much to the game and deserve an all ireland out of it. But Tyrone will not be an easy game to win.

Hopefully that Semi Final win gives MIGHTY MO a massive confidence booster going into the All Ireland Final next week. It will all come down to hunger and desire next week and the fact Mayo haven't won the All Ireland for 70 years means they will be slightly hungrier than Tyrone to win the Final next Saturday.
i mean it's a really good Mayo team against a really good Tyrone team i think the most important thing Mayo need to remember going into the final is that just because they beat Dublin does not Guarantee them anything failure to do this will result in a repeat of 2012 another important thing is literally have to fight for every possession every second of the game from minute 1 to minute 75 you know injury time included and they simply cannot afford to have anywhere near as bad a first half as they did in the semis or the Connaght Final ultimately my prediction for the final is a 2 point win for Tyrone not because of Mayo being bad but i just feel like Tyrone will be better able to control the clock and the game and i can see Mayo getting frustrated and giving away silly frees in scorable sports one final word of advice for Mayo tho the most important word they need to know PATIENCE it is how you will win or lose this final

If a Mayo player ever gouged an opponent's eye then I along with others would be very critical of his actions and would call for that player to be axed from the team. Have to say, Aidan O'Shea's attitude - a great example. Even though subbed, he fights for the team at the final whistle of normal time - that surprised the Dubs and inspired his Mayo team mates - who came out and kicked the shite out of the Dubs in extra time! Loved it. Great match and in fairness to the Dubs - even though they were a bit dirty on the day - they lost like Champions - great team - the team that really saved football by proving you could win trophies playing attacking, skilful, aggressive football. Best of luck to Mayo on Saturday - O'Shea has to start - there's a lot of bottled up aggression there - and Mayo could do with that on the pitch - especially against Tyrone. Mayo to win by 3.
