Rik Vanhoenacker absolutely DAWs can kill creativity , it is so refreshing to be rid of it for a while.

Rik - I completely agree. I'm probably older than you and Mick, and have been around synths since the early 80's. I was very active using my old Prophet-600, Pro-1. Odyssey, Chroma Polaris, DX5, borrowed Jupiter-8, Prophet-5, etc. Then, I got caught up in the DAW world, and over time it killed my creativity. VSTs can create awesome sounds in a convenient way, but by not interacting with an actual hardware synth, it takes away from whatever organic interaction you have to the instrument, which is what helps create "your" sound. Even Jean-Michel Jarre has said as much. I don't have the time now, but when I do, I'm going to dust off my old gear, maybe buy something new (with a lot of knobs), and the only work the computer will do is as a sequencer, and to record my work, if that. Having said that, I'm hoping Mick will keep using this "Nemo" studio of his in the future.

I am trying to return to dawless setup since last year, after selling all the hardware with the false impression that I could made everything just with a controller + vsti (and due to lack of space, actually)....biggest mistake ever. Is hard (and expensive) to return to hardware only setup...
