Once upon a time, I thought it was too stupid to do. Then I was asked to do it and put some more thought into it. Doesn't make it any less stupid, but I did make it into a video.
Another very interesting list. Putting the coffee creamer on top of the orange juice was bold but I can see why, since many times during the game I found myself with lot of coffee creamers rather than orange juices in both the first and third part of the game.
The pie can also act as a discount mask-type weapon as if you throw it at a zombie’s head, it will stun them. Like the mask weapons, taking a picture of the affected zombie will grant an outtake bonus on the picture (don’t know if that unique tidbit affects your rating). Also, sick assassin’s creed style kill move on Paul in the outro lol.
Thanks, I thought Paul was going to die and I'd lose the box of supplies he drops. I was aware that the pie being thrown at a zombie's face can blind it, and I even recorded pulling it off, but it just got dummied out with how short the segments turned out. I didn't bring it up because you don't get a lot of PP for it, and it's annoyingly precise where you have to throw it for the pie to stick.
Fantastic tier list! I love how you factored in everything about food for its ranking as opposed to just going by raw healing numbers. I've actually watched your tier videos multiple times just because I love the way you describe your reasoning. Also, at the tail end of the video: nice takedown with Paul! I don't think I've ever seen anybody snipe with such accuracy using their knee.
Orange Juice and Wine with how easy they are to get. Orange Juice is infinitely spawning in Paradise and Wine just covering the other side of the mall with being easily accessible in the Food Court. These two items are all you need for your entire normal playthrough.
Would love to see a tierlist for the various items across DR2 since it adds a new dimension to eating with the alcohol and getting sick mechanic. (Also ‘cause I own DR2 and knowing this stuff might help me die less)
Orange juice was jipped here! I always stock up on them after a run to the safehouse. Expect a letter from my lawyer sir. Love the Dead Rising content!
I remember the times I tried to get Burger King foot lettuce to a blender, but would always contact foot fungus from the zombies attacking me to the point that I realize that’s what I might get after all.
I always wondered why coffee creamer comes in 1 gallon jug when I think of coffee creamer, I think of the one from DR2, the little plastic cylinder can.
Yeah, you'd think the carton of Milk being turned into coffee cream would have made more sense, especially since it's counted as a separate food item in the game's coding.
I always loved Red Cabbage in DR1 XD. Also, why Coffee Creamer is even Coffee Creamer when it is labelled as Chocolate Milk and has it's own section in Seon's Food & Stuff labelled as Chocolate Milks in Dairy section XD (good thing that DR2 corrected this). Nevertheless great video and you know what's great about these foods in Supermarket? Is that they come in various different varieties, like Cookies or Snack. Would you do the same for DR2 + OTR as well as DR3? Or maybe, would you do survivor tier lists for DR1, 2, CZ, CW, OTR and DR3?
I would be willing to do a food tier list for DR2 (Combining Case West and Off The Record for that one just to be thorough). I won't be doing so for Dead Rising 3 because food items are mostly for the mixed drinks, and the upgrade system overall matters more than any individual food item. And I do have survivor tier lists planned to be done for the various games.
@@JakeJakers Yea, DR3 food is mostly for Mixed Drinks but what I liked is that it has the food type cathegory like fruit, vegetable, medicine, etc. and upgrading exists and makes food super buffed but still they are good in my opinion if upgrade system didn't exist - Master Dog would be in top 5. Can't wait for DR2 food tier list combined with CW and OTR. Amazing. I think you should make survivor tier list based on their abilities like who can hold guns, their health, running speed, what they can give you, how many PP points upon rescue, are they in good spots upon finding them were they hold by psychos, or how badass they are when given firearms. You should definietly make another tier list on psychopaths as well. And just like with the survivors the list should be based on their unique weapons, intro scene, death scene, boss music, the location you fight in, how many PP you can get, the general reward, their uniquiness etc. This is going to be so great!
i know this may seem redundant but is there anyway you can also make a food teir list for dead rising 2 and 3? i know its kinda redundant but i just thought it be interesting to watch you do this for the foods in those games as well
I will for Dead Rising 2 (combined with Off the Record just so I don't have to make two separate videos). I don't plan to make a Food tier List for Dead Rising 3 since food items are largely secondary to the upgrade system and mixed drink combinations.
What's the music at 16:02 from? It's trying so hard to unlock a dormant memory that I can't place. I used to think Spitfire was a useless novelty until I recently discovered that it's surprisingly effective against quite a few bosses
During 7 day survivor would it be possible to utilise the fact you can sort of freeze and resume games on Xbox Series consoles to get it done in multiple sessions? I want to give it a try but don’t have the time myself right now and I can’t see anyone else talking about trying this anywhere online
No, not at all. It may give more health (8 Blocks instead of 6), but the high probability of getting sick kills it. Not only that but the random effect can easily be wasted. you could get untouchable when in a barren part of the mall, quickstep when escorting survivors (making you wait by the door for them, wasting its short-lived effect if not respawning zombies where they're walking), or get Zombait when you're already surrounded. I don't even take Cliff's Randomizer in Infinity Mode. I'm not joking when I say it's only good use is mixing two Randomizers together to make Quickstep.
@@JakeJakersdude WHAT?! I didn't know two randomizers makes a Quickstep! I've been playing for 8 years lol, never figured that out. Definitely would help. Also, I'd say Quickstep is always the best, even with survivors you can still sprint to the end, mark the spot for them to run to, then just clear the zombies around them. I wish untouchable was better. I never really had any use of it, maybe if it made SURVIVORS untouchable, that'd make it loads better. Spit fire too, make make it replace your punches with quick spit whenever it's active.
Also, I thought randomizer ALWAYS made you puke, I thought the name was a joke honestly, I don't remember EVER drinking it and not puking lol. Crap luck I guess.
Dead Rising's interactive environment is kinda unique to the series. most games only let you destroy the environment or have you do stuff for an advantage. Older DR games just gave you experience for messing around with things.
@JakeJakers Oh damn, nice. Great content as always, seeing your "what if Dead Rising 1 had more food" made me think that a remake of Dead Rising could use stuff like that
