Will it blend? Yes. Will it be useful? Maybe. (Results may vary) GoFundMe for a war-veteran: www.gofundme.com/f/help-my-wa... #deadrising #deadrising2 #deadrising3 #mixeddrinks #tierlist
Dead rising 2s Randomizer is actually really good id say its C tier. If you mix it with another Randomizer it becomes quickstep If you mix it with a Painkiller it becomes a Spitfire If you mix it with Spitfire it becomes a Untouchable If you mix it with a Untouchable it becomes Zombait If you mix it with a Zombait it becomes a Energizer If you mix it with a Energizer it becomes a Nectar Randomizers let you turn Painkiller into any drink in the game sans, Repulse at least not directly off a painkiller. But Repulse can be made by mixing Painkiller and Spitfire so 2 painkillers and a Randomizer is a Repulse. This is extremely good knowledge to know since making Painkiller and Randomizers in DR2 is very easy to do. Also if you mix Randomizer or Nectar with cooking oil a common ingredient you sometimes find in kitchens it turns the cooking oil into an untouchable.
I remember reading an old walkthrough guide years ago on GameFAQs about Dead Rising 1, and the part where he describes Randomizer, he said it “Randomizes your bowels.”
I never understood why the Randomizer has such a absurdly high chance to cause you to get sick you would think it would favor giving a random effect instead of making you sick. With making you sick I feel should be a possibility and not a darned near certainty. At least in both DR1 and 2 the ability to make it into quickstep is nice. And it can be used to great effect in 2 given it can turn many of the mixed drinks into other mixed drinks if you know what your doing aside from just making quick step.
Building on the new drink idea. What about one called Blowback, that gives your bare fists massive knockback, making horde clearing far easier. Even if it isn't very "deadly" it clears space easily.
@Mentelgen-1337 Bruh. You left yourself wide open to the reference. Only reason I said it at all. It's just a pfp. Payday 3 is garbage, and I played each heist about twice and called it good.
One use I found for zombait was in off the record during the safe house breach. Having 2 zombaits or juice boost keeps them off the survivors for no deaths
I always thought the inspiration for combo weapons were the unique weapon that the psychopaths had in the original. Like the small chainsaws and the shopping cart
The last time i played DR 1, i remember having like.. 6 quicksteps, 2 shotguns and a Axe for overtime mode, i beat it so fast. I only use it when i need get to a case or get the shotguns.
i wished you had more subscribers these are really good and informative to people who are new to the series. And i dont know if you do request but i was wondering if you can do a theroy video on what happened to the survivors that you save. Not the survivors from dr2, case west and dr4 but the ones that arent explained like the ones from dr1, case zero, dr3 and the exclusive ones from otr.
Stupid Elemental Staff literally being the best. I wish they would of made it so the last fully upgraded verison needed... something to make it harder? Ideally to me i would of made all but the big bomb one optional bosses that give you the base version and you got to find the rest.
I always broke down combo weapons into two group. Fun and Utility Fun weapons are.... Fun to use! But they aren't as general purpose as utility weapons, like the DR2 spiked bat being essentially a no frills, all you need weapon that can do anything for example
to be honest i legitimately didn't know randomizer could GIVE a random effect, i only ever knew of it getting you sick so i'd always avoided it whenever i played threw any of the game. You learn something new everyday about these games. Also weirdly enough the new mixed drink idea you gave at the end was almost exactly the same one i was thinking of in my previous comment on a different vid XD the one i was thinking of only prevented the player from getting sick from drinking to much alcohol
Nice to see more than DR1 on a list for once, I've at this point only played the first game, (I do own 2, I'm just trying to do some extra stuff in 1 before I play 2, and I don't have anything to play 3 on) and I can definitely say I got some good use out of at least painkiller, and quickstep when it was useful and easy to get with the coffee creamer, (Didn't know about cabbages and orange juice lol) as for any ideas for new drinks, not sure honestly, all I could come up with is a drink named "Medic" basically gives the painkiller effect to survivors, not sure what downside it would have though. I do also have an idea to make randomizer better actually, just make sickness and mixed drink effects have an equal chance of happening that way it is a risk, but also one that isn't just a practical guaranteed loss.
Feel Good sounds like a good idea for a mixed drink for a possible future Dead Rising game. My ideas for new mixed drinks are: Unbreakable: Temporarily prevents weapons from breaking. Frostbite: An ice version of Spitfire. Carrier: Allows the player to pick up and carry survivors. Pugilist: Makes the player's unarmed attacks deal more damage. Pillager: Increases Pillage Point gain. Hotstreak: Sprinting leaves a fire trail behind the player. Randomizer +: An improved version of Randomizer with a higher chance of giving the player a random buff.
Funny enough, I only ever made Randomizer once in all my time playing Dead Rising in order to get the gourmet achievement. And the one time I did, it gave me spitfire. Granted it's at the stage of the game where firearms are ONLY good against whatever zombies are around, but I'll take it. EDIT: DR 2 is where I really learned about Randomizer. I thought it'd give a random effect, but after trying it twice and getting sick both times, I wound up shying away from making mixed drinks altogether.
This is a great video and I really appreciate the knowledge and little details you know about these games. I do disagree with one thing though and that's quick step being so low. You did make some good points about it but I don't think going from point A to point B is the best use for it. I actually use it in boss fights. It can help a lot with dodging attacks and I usually always take a quick step with me while fighting the prisoners or Adam the clown.
I never noticed the differences on drinks through the games, always thought they work the same. Also, gota hand it to DR3, at least you dont have to go to a blender to make the drinks, same with DR1 Wii, so it saves the travelling. Also, are there no drinks in DR4? good work as always
Untouchable, Quickstep and Painkiller are my fave mixed drinks in all of the games. Never leave the safe place without them. Energizer I always found it quite lackluster.
Oo i got a mixed drink idea "Portent Combat Info" Makes all attack animations and attacks faster, able to be comboed as long as you keep attacking and allow you to use Skill Moves naturally with a radius to knockdown or destroy weaker zombies. And if DR 5 would have DR 3 Killstreak moves, make them impressive AOE damaging moves. IE allow the player to rev up a chainsaw do run forward slicing and throwing zombies aside.
If I were to go with the original idea, I'd probably buff "Spitfire" to "Powerup" to make it so weapons don't get stuck on zombies (think the Lead Pipe) and leave the double attack speed for heavier weapons like the gumball machine.
the only reason to make mix always was to recover a lot HP in my experience so all mixed were useful for me because create them with random stuff. even randomizer when i drink it in bunker where there arent zombies. In dr 2 randomizer was the solution to rotten food in trash bags and containers because you recover more hp combining them than separated when i am looking for food in some places and online coop mode where player 1 wan to do all fast so i dont have moments to look for food unless he kick me out of the game if i separate of him so i get food from boxes , trash bags or everywhere near of player 1 trying to survive, was really funny.
Assuming this is for a Dead Rising 2 situation, I don't think that's a good idea - combo weapons are not supposed to have durability buffs as a compromise for how powerful they are and how much PP they give.
@@JakeJakers That's a good counterpoint. Maybe if the time was short enough, you wouldn't be able abuse the he'll out of it and would be more like a one time super power up. But at that point, it would have just made sense to have them already attached to a fitting magazine for a durability buff, which would in turn make the plain weapons more considerable options.
Reason why Spitfire in first game is also good is because you can carry the effect to Brock fight. Before you enter jeep, you can drink spitfire and after tank battle when you fight Brock, you will still have spitfire effect on. This means you can easily cheese Brock even when he blocks.
Something else that hurts Zombait is that you’ll be carrying Survivors a good chunk of the time in DR1, so having zombies make a b-line towards you is actively making the escort harder.
This is a very useful video. Though I dare point out that a single flare will kill a fireman. I think they just don't STAY on fire and take reduced damage from it.
personally, I'd say Dead Rising 1 quickstep deserves a little more love due to the 2 coffee creamers that spawn in the security room during the early cases. Being able to go right to columbian roastmasters and make those is a big deal, especially on your first playthrough when you're squishy. Quicksteps + the paradise plaza katana carry you so hard if you know to use them.
Remember I was holding a nectar and a queen while making a combo weapon then combine appeared after I saw the symbol then got a hidden trophy good times
As a DR2 speedrunner, quickstep is an absolute favorite of mine because of it's usefulness. Once we finish 4-1, quickstep is just on for the rest of the run. Skateboards are pretty good for up until 4-1 but I can barely keep my boards alive until then so quickstep is definitely needed after that.
Ah, a speedrunner. I personally do more of an "efficiency run" myself - seeing how much I can accomplish in a single playthrough. Are there any weird Dead Rising 2 speedrun categories?
I'd add, that with the Sports fan DLC outfit in DR2, you can drink as much alcohol as you want without getting sick. Not sure if it works on Randomizer vomit though.
I'd also argue that since skateboard durability is such trash in DR2 that also naturally pushes even experienced players towards having or using quickstep far more often. Just in case your board breaks a bit too soon and you need to hurry.
I will never forgive CV for nerfing spitfire so badly, even if they had at least made a DIFFERENT drink that had the original effect I'd have been happy with that and ignored the inferior one. But nah... DR1's was peak, hopefully someday it can return.
