The Katana's reach scales with the "area" modifier. Eventually everything on the screen is constantly being sliced. You start killing elites off-screen and you just find voids as you explore.

Tom, always take sharp edge soul card. It will increase your base damage that is multiplied by your damage multiplier. So it may not look significant but it is.

The Groblin voice at 1:48 makes me glad that even when there's no dialogue to read, we still get great Tom voices.

Buzzsaw Knight, the Plate-armoured Ninja. Honestly, I imagined at least one or two ninjas used plate armour to practice, given just how hard it is to sneak in 50lbs of CLANKING METAL THAT SHINES IN THE SUNLIGHT

Poor Tom. After playing Holocure he is slowly but surely transforming in to a weeb.

The F rank world only has the one stage, but once you beat it and play the E rank world, that one has the whole second stage after you beat the first boss. That's all there is right now, but it looks like they are gonna add higher rank worlds in the future

The katana is pretty decent, specially when paired with area and projectile cards. It was just useless because of your other long range weapons. There is also a possible unlock to get when you do the blacksmith upgrade for the katana.

I hope Tom checks out Soulstone Survivor. It's like a great mash-up of Risk of Rain and the Survivor-genre.

I think the only reason the katana wasn't that good you had a lot of buffs that just enhanced your projectiles and the knockback would constantly knock stuff out of your sword range I think if you had less projectile buffs or at least less projectiles in general and more melee stuff I'm pretty sure that sort of done work because it was doing like eight attacks every second

Tom's obsession with being able to just sit in one spot in games like this drives me absolutely insane

You definitely want to see if you can limit break Wind Blade and Katana once each, because that unlocks their Evolutions on future runs, and evolved weapons are way stronger than every other weapon. Magic Wisp also has an evolution to unlock.

Well actually Tom, Beyblades were of such prolific use in the desert that Moses used one to part the Red Sea.

The V0.7 Patch should be dropping on Nov 15th according to the developers steam post. D Rank worlds, Challenge modes and re balances on the way.

Use the Blacksmith Limitbreak service on the Katana to unlock the Silph's Blade, which is an evolution of the Katana and the Wind Blade. It's pretty nuts.

Love your vids Tom and if you choose to avoid crit (Banish all crits with one card) & tainted cards (banish them) these are cards can greatly reduce the cards you will recive giving you a higher chance to get rarer cards. Ranged I would recomend wind blade & trio "something" not sure of the name (Splits all projectiles into 3 projectiles) with a lot of damage cards and projectile size. It makes you indestructible because nothing can touch you.

Take all the damage mitigation and defense perks. You become practically unkillable. Even the big worm boss at the end of the desert does barely anything to you.

I just bought the game tonight 11/12/22 and it was only $2.99 on Steam and I have to say the graphics are amazing compared to most of these game, especially at that price. After supper tonight, yum Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes w/Country Gravy, Corn and fresh home made Biscuits, (Not Cookies) followed by home made fresh Peach Cobbler. This game must have some kind of weighted RNG. There's no way you get 4-5 katanas in a row when it's a "rare" item if it's totally random.

just for reference Tainted rarity cards are those real small like 1% buffs

Good NEWS Tom, Stuff IS being unlocked all the time!! You have to upgrade your cards to max to unlock the next toy! You need 7 Dashes to get more evasion skills. Most Underrated Cards? *Practice* & *Light Armor* They're "trash" tier cards, but they give the best buffs IMO

Tainted Rarity are the grey ones that max out at 999. Kind of like trash items in other games so -99.9% less likely means less useless junk to choose from.

Tom, of you max out the katana and the wind blade you can evolve them (like holo cure's mesh ups) into some OP weapon

Katana is very good. Just nothing got close enough half the time for it to activate. Especially since you reduced attack range a few times. And compensated with projectile speed for all the other weapons.

the insane amount of damage you can get to in this game is VERY fun
