love the show!!!!! Been listening since episode 12! Even though I believe that this is high up on the list of the greatest things on youtube, DO GO ON gets better with each and every episode, and the first one was incredible so, like.. that means that each one has been better than incredible... so, I guess that DO GO ON as a whole, is PERFECT! Every episode surpasses the last as the greatest thing ever, anywhere! Awesome stuff! Sad episode, but the way that you all made light of the tragic death of man who wanted nothing more that to commune with nature really made this episode shine! loved it! laughed a lot and felt a lot, as with all episodes. love, love, LOVE the show!
I listen to every podcast and I’ve already listened to this one on audio but even doing this it’s so funny actually seeing this it’s funny in a different way seeing it second time around lol
They have a great way of picking things up when the topic is sad. Some might feel that it is in poor taste, but to tell a sad story in format like this, I think it needs to be presented with some humorous flare. This was sad, but I still got some big belly laughs outta the pod!
This has been bothering me since this ep aired, and I'm sure it's been pointed out, but the woman moose thing is in case it's pregnant, I think. Otherwise, fucking stellar crack boys
I'd start with schadenfreude. And beyond that, some of the early Greek theories about comedy touch on this. Feeling "Greater Than" and such. I doubt these would change your mind. But it would certainly help to understand why others can laugh at it.
If I could see these guys live, maybe have a chance to chat and have a drink, I would! Too bad I live so far away. But you are right, if we can't get ourselves to them, watching from home is a great alternative! Cheeper too. lol
Just think a man died, had the worst combination of bad luck and wrong decisions and now his journal is material for a comedy reading with no level of consideration that this is a person who dies , with the exception of Matt in some places.
