"I have seen that the 1843 chart (William Miller's) was directed by the hand of the Lord and that it should not be altered that the figures were as he wanted them." Ellen White loses the vision : "In our frequent change of location in the earlier history of the publishing work, and I have crossed the plains no less than 17 times, I lost all trace of the first published works . The major failing of EGW is actually her blasphemous assertion that Jesus’ death on the cross provided no atonement for sins, but rather one must present proof that they “deserve” to enter heaven during the “Investigative Judgement” - a non biblical addition to the Holy Scriptures. The Apostle Paul, in Galatians 1, called this “another gospel”, which is accursed. This is the Bible, sola scriptura, in reality.

The Hebrew is also 2300 “evenings and mornings”, not days. The restoration of the temple ended up happening after Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated the temple and tried to bring war on Jerusalem, he was ruthless and thought of himself to literally be god The little horn arises from ONE OF THEM… “them” meaning one of the 4 horns. Adventists try and force that to mean a Roman Empire and to do that, they actually have to argue that “them” is referring to “winds”, not horns. Huge problem for SDAs because for Daniel‘s vision in chapter 7, they are consistent with horns coming out of horns. Anyway, This king (antiochus) emerges from one of the fourfold divisions of the Greek Empire. “Out of one of them came forth a little horn…” (v. 9). Antiochus emerged from the Seleucid horn which was a division of the Greek Empire. Rome did NOT; it emerged on the Italian peninsula to the west of the Greek Empire. The little horn would destroy the mighty and holy people. History reveals that tens of thousands perished as Antiochus attempted to force the Jews to deny their faith. The little horn would take away the daily sacrifices (v. 11). Antiochus put a stop to the sacrifices for a period of over 3 years. Antiochus “cast down” the place of God’s sanctuary (v. 11) when he shut down its daily ministry and set up the abomination that caused horror, i.e. the image of Zeus Olympias, and slaughtered a PIG on the altar of burnt offering in the most holy place!! The importance of the sanctuary service lay not so much in the building as in the daily sacrifices and offerings, and by taking these away Antiochus “brought low” (NIV) God’s dwelling place. The little horn would take away the daily sacrifices (v. 11). Antiochus put a stop to the sacrifices for a period of almost 4 years. Funny how 2300 evenings and mornings is about 1500 full days; which matches up exactly, 1500 divided by 365 is about 4 years What’s even more interesting is the Maccabeans revolted against Antiochus and God helped them to overthrow them and put a stop to Antiochus’ plans. The Maccabees entered Jerusalem in triumph after Antiochus had died. They ritually cleansed the Second Temple, reestablishing traditional Jewish worship there; 25 Kislev, the date of the cleansing in the Hebrew calendar, would later become the date when the festival of Hanukkah begins. You can read about Hannukah in JOHN 10:22-23 also called Feast of dedication. Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s Porch. Jesus did not enter the most holy place in 1844. He did that at his atonement when he sat down at the right hand of God, and gave us a new and living way through the inner curtain (that is, through his flesh Hebrews 10:20) For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands, but into HEAVEN ITSELF so that he would appear in the presence of God for us He made atonement ONCE for all time, through one sacrifice of himself, and this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, stop down at the right hand of God. DEFENDING SABBATH KEEPING AT ALL COSTS? Unfortunately, the 7th day Adventists are NOT a true or remnant church. Someone on Facebook commented about an article saying, "Wow! Nothing but the truth! Well said. Adventists will not accept this because they're already deceived by a dead false prophet." This testimony is true because of the false doctrines. Satan is waging war on the true believers, but unfortunately already has the Adventists deceived by following Ellen White. The ones who haven't left Adventism evidently see nothing wrong with her heretical doctrines even though Jesus NEVER mentions them in the New Testament. Adventists have their own set of beliefs mixed with Christianity that unfortunately deceives unsuspecting folks. They self-righteously accuse non-adventists of breaking the commandments because they don't keep the sabbath day. They don't seem to understand that believers are under grace, not law, but not without law. Of course we keep the moral law contained in the COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST which are the commandments of God. It is disturbing to see people congratulating themselves for keeping the sabbath day. Instead of the humility of Christ, we see the pride and arrogance of pharisees. The Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation he purchased should be lifted up instead of the sabbath day that that He NEVER COMMANDED or imposed on his followers. It is an abrogated Hebrew ritual law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to do with the gospel or the gentiles. But Adventists stubbornly want to believe that the apostles were keeping the sabbath day even though sabbath keepers murdered Stephen in Acts chapter 7, and stoned Paul in Acts chapter 14. Sabbath keeping didn't deter Adventist hospitals from performing thousands of abortions. What happened to the commandment against murder? Adventists wrest the scriptures to try and prove sabbath keeping, evidently to protect their popess Ellen White's contentions about having to keep the sabbath day. Some Adventists refer to Matthew 24:20 to try and prove sabbath keeping. Jesus warned of the siege that would come upon the Holy Land, culminating in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Sabbath keepers, the Christ-rejecting Jews, who had sabbath day travel restrictions and opposed Christianity, could make fleeing Jerusalem and the surrounding region problematic for Christ's followers should they try to travel or flee on the sabbath day.
