The Death of Superman with Charlie Stickney - Geek History Lesson 

This was the story that got me into comics when I was in jr high. I heard about it and immediately had to go out to the nearest gas station to get a comic book. Of course it wasn’t the one where he died, but one of the issues within the series and I didn’t realize that it was a multipart story. I was disappointed. But a couple months later at Walmart, I saw they had the Funeral for a Friend issues in a literal box, shrink wrapped to seal it and I had to get it. And at that moment, I was seeking out every Superman comic I could find on the newsstand. I grabbed all of the issues introducing the four Supermen and collected them, eventually finding an actual comic shop and getting a pull list so that I could make sure I didn’t miss an issue. Now, I’m slowly introducing my oldest to them and may actually let him read my original comics haha

This was the 1st major comic series I read as a kid I remember being so upset and so happy when he came back superman is and always will be my absolute favorite character and Lois and Clark are my favorite couple in all of fiction
