With New colossus I at least liked the gunplay and the soundtrack, but with Youngblood I couldn't find anything to really like.

I really want a Wolfenstein 2009 sequel, the Thule medallion was cool asf.

You probably enjoyed it more first time around as you were playing with a friend, that makes a lot of terrible games more tolerable. But I bought a PS4 copy when it fell into bargain bins. It's still in the shrinkwrap :D Also, what happened to Commander Keen being BJ's son?

I know it's completely unrelated to the bulk of the video, but holy hell that comment at the beginning about prey's reception made me so sad and angry man, I started playing it a while ago and goddamn it's such a good game, can't fathom how it flew THAT over the radar when it comes to the general public. I hope a remaster or something in the future gives it the recognition it so desperately needs. Anyway, haven't finished the video yet but it's been fire so far, keep up the good work!

To be fair, even the good wolfenstein games had skill trees, but the were done in a fun and interesting way so it wasnt disrupting the game

Machine games are capable. I mean they made Dimension of Machines in Quake 1 Remaster and Call of the Machines in Quake 2 Remaster. I would suggest playing an old third-person shooter called Freedom Fighters. I wish I knew more first-person shooters that were about fighting to win back your world like Wolfenstein New Order. (Preferable with an actual conclusion) Well, I can think of one game but I'm not sure if you are into turn-based games and I'm not sure if it's a solid game.

personally i loved the new colossus, i feel like the new order did most things better but overall i think i enjoyed the gameplay of the new colossus more because it was basically the same but with more everything. the one thing i hate the most? there not really being a true final boss, it was just go here, kill the main bad guy by pressing 1 button, the end. and no the 2 robots you fight before her are NOT final bosses, they're mini bosses even, they have no plot relevancy other than we shoot black holes and we are protecting one thing. the fight was fun dont get me wrong but it just doesn't land as a final boss

Let's go a new Proxidist video, loved the Wolfenstein franchise (except for yk). I actually bought it because everything looked boring and it turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. The action, graphics, even the voicelines were superior in The New Order and The Old Blood impressed me too. Got them both as part of a deal I saw in a GameStop. If we're lucky, Wolfenstein III would just retcon Youngblood. But even if it doesn't, we can still get a similar story to Mortal Kombat 9 with trying to stop the Weather Machine and prevent the Apocalypse seen at the end of Youngblood.

While playing Old Blood back in the day, the thing i wanted while playing that game was to play as an annoying teenage girl that would shout stupid one liners.

I personally loved New Colossus, I fell in love with the gameplay and graphics of that game, even playing it with my damaged controller, with drift on the right analog stick. And I'm currently considering getting his platinum and going through Mein Laben (at least if my sanity doesn't run out) but with Youngblood... I literally played it with another friend of mine, 4 hours of game, we thought it was rubbish, we hated every aspect of it game, we just think the weapon upgrade system is beautiful, because each upgrade has a significant change in its appearance (something that New Colossus also did, with more simplicity, and still did it better, I think), the story is rubbish, Would it cost to play another game with BJ? If it were to be co-op, Anya would make a great character to play as well, Fergus or Wyatt would also work. The RPG aspects don't match Wolfenstein at all, I want to kill Nazis and not worry about what weapon I have to shoot to do more damage. Youngblood is a missed opportunity to make a coop Wolfenstein, since they wanted it so much, without these rpg mechanics and weapon skins, why didn't they just use the gameplay from the old games? Instead they destroyed the magnificent gameplay of New Order, which was improved in New Colossus, to end up with what we have in Youngblood, a game with no personality, bad protagonists, boring and repetitive gameplay, and a poor story. Honestly, if this game didn't exist, it wouldn't be missed at all. I still hope that Machine Games brings us the real Wolfenstein 3, because for me Youngblood is just a non-canonical What If in the series.

As much as I enjoyed playing Wolfenstein II, I'm never replaying it. Having a game where you die so quick and you spend HALF of it with 50hp was enough for me to steer clear of a second playthrough. Gunplay and soundtrack kicked ass, tho.

There's also one thing the Old Blood had over the other Machine games Wolfensteins, BJ talked IN GAME. In the New Colossus there were many many moments that BJ staying silent during gameplay made it really off, honestly it bothers me the potential that was wasted not having him banter during gameplay and especially during conversations outside of cutscenes.

DEI striked again. Hard. It was already on overdrive in the previous entry with disability POV play, pregnant girl boss, POC girl boss etc. etc.... but this, this was peak DEI.

I think when you play Youngblood with a friend and you two are having fun together, you don't think on how bad it is. This game solo is so boring, I had bought and played this game day one and I didn't finish it until 2023 and that's not because the game is long, it's actually very short minus all the padding.

I stumbled on the wolfenstein the new order and loved it. In its bare bones it did exactly what I hoped for maximum brutality. Youngbloods looked at before I found your channel and I couldn’t even get into the trailer. Not apart of me felt like even installing the game.

Young Blood imo isn't canon. Still holding out hope for Wolfenstein 3. Though flawed, Alongside DOOM/DOOM: Eternal, The New Order and The New Colossus are two of my favorite FPS titles of all time.

My guess as to why you have such found memories of this game is because you played it with a friend in co-op. Enemies are probably balanced around having two player characters so when you play alone they feel much spongier also you can make anything fun with a friend.

Honestly, Wolfenstein 2 isn't even that bad of a game, but the previous game set such a high standard of quality that anything less than that is immediately going to give whiplash! I enjoyed Wolfenstein 2, but I'm always going to go back to The New Order because it was THAT crazy and high-tech.

One of my main problems is that the characters are the same

I started playing it because I really want to play all games, but man, the 2009 Wolfenstein, while I dont think its the best around, had a paseable hub system, how they can fuck up what the series did right before? I really hope Wolfenstein 3, if it ever comes, is as good as TNO and TNB, but my hopes are low.

So this was supposed to be live service game with regular content updates, but it only got 1 so far before getting abandoned. Yet another cash grab from that era of Zenimax.

If they decide to make wolfenstein 3 there 3 thing I want right good characters and interesting setting’s different places not always a repeat of the same level keep the takedown system from Wolfenstein 2 and do some changes if they want likable characters in my opinion and the gunplay and make it really fun for the player. and game engine and gameplay. They could make it sad and ominous and the soundtrack to perfect. or a hopeful one. You can say your own opinion in the comments.

The new Wolfenstein games are an incredbily frustrating trilogy to me. Gameplay wise they are much closer to the classic boomer shooter formula than the new DOOM games so, at least in theory they should scratch that specific itch of mine. But unfortunately Machine Games just couldn't resist infusing those games with "modern gaming trends" to muddle the great foundation they had. Why does the game need ADS when hipfire works perfectly well? Why does the game need half baked stealth mechanics when combat is easily the most fun part of the game? Why does the game need to stop you ever 10 minutes to show you a scripted cutscene you don't care about? Where are the more imaginative, destrictive and exotic weapons to destroy nazis with? Why are those levels so insanely linear? Despite all of those issues I enjoyed Wolf 1 and 2 a lot. I didn't come back to those game because of thosee frustrations but I can't deny they were very competently made shooters. And there is Youngblood. What a baffling waste of potential.

It confused me so much the design decisions of this game. Not only the enemy designs with adding a level system,but also things like 'You cannot pause when you are alone, have fun goof ball' Then,the characters. Was the entire writing team just fans of Marvel movies?. Even FF XV protagonist were more human than them, a bunch of young adults with magic, technology and stray up SUPER POWERS, are better written than BJ's daughters.

Don't get me wrong I agree it sucks Mick Gordon didn't make any music for Youngblood but some of those german synthwave songs are great. Big fan of the House of the Rising Sun remix.

It's crazy to me how both reboots for Wolfenstein and CoD Modern Warfare started out with a great 1st game and then each sequel just got progressively worse not better. Wolfenstein is pretty much dead, again. Didn't have Warzone or Zombies to fall back on like CoD does.

Playing with friends can make a bad game seem good. That and alcohol. I remember playing Sacred Citadel with a group and while drunk. It was a good time. The game would suck if I played it solo and sober.

IGN gave Prey an 8 initially they had given it a 4 because it had a game breaking bug on PC that made it impossible to finish.

(Sorry for rambling) I was already doubtful of the game, even before I watched this, because Im going to be quite frank, when games rewrite the franchise with a new character, that is female for example, which is the most common example, the game usually turns out mid at best, and I swear, I have NEVER, *EVER* seen a company butcher a game so hard, the ONLY WAY they are apologizing for this is adding a permanent chaingun (Like a carriable version that stays with you, doesnt slow you down, like the original.)

Prey was defff a 4.0 as a Prey game as the real Prey 2 was going to be a sick Bounty hunter game SO i agree with IGN on that ...mfers should have named it something else hate when comanys ride off the coat tales of a larger IP , I tried to like Prey but either not my cup of tea or I had it on too hard difficulty either way Its like marvel civil war used the name "civil war" but did not follow the actual Story just made up its own story

Im playing it now and it is so uninspired compared to the first game (TNO). Im actually thinking about not finishing it and moving to something else.

Some RPG are good if worked correctly, but a game wich fucks up the RPG elements makes me wish I rather play a game with a high difficulty and making the game my bitch cause I'm better at it. A game that constantly kicks my ass and gives them an equal chance or an unfair advantage to kill me is not fun and takes away any skill at all

New Colossus is best when you skip the cut scenes and focus on the gun play on Mein Leben. Youngblood looked too dumb to get.

I don’t get the hate against IGN’s review scores. Reviews are subjective and done by many different people. I’d be tempted to get on that train though if not for the Starfield debacle last year, people lost their minds at the average score ign gave it… only to realize 2 months after release that starfield was super average.

The vr is okay but way too safe. Youngblood is just terrible across the board with a friend. Some of the bad stuff is kind of alleviated by your friend since it was a co op game. But the design and levels are just kinda meh. Not to mention the pointless lite rpg system. It felt so tacked on with it. It was a terrible game that had an online only that had to be patched so some people could play offline. It had also micro transactions in a single player game. It basically was all the wrong choices to make wolfenstein game.

Story wise -> The New Order > The Old Blood > The New Colossus gameplay wise The Old Blood > The New Orderd > The New Colossus i really... i really cannot stand The New Colossus - it was just... WEAK there was almost no holding story, no "wow" moments like the train scene or destroying "friendly-working" camp from within with a mech It felt like The New Colossus was just trying to be "too safe", checking all political correct marks instead of making the game pure fun and enjoyment - like the first one in the reboot series did

I had so much fun with this game! The gunplay feels smooth and is basically the same from TNC, I love the bonding between the sisters and the co-op gameplay. it was great to finally play with other people in a Wolfenstein game

I kinda liked the gunplay in this game, and it was way more fun to play than the new colossus. I dont know, it just dont have a lot of cutscenes and the level design is great. But thats all, even the story in this game is so lame that its just throws a bunch of concepts about time travel in the end, just so that they can reboot without a remorse of the old games lmao

I've been a Wolfenstein fan since Wolf 3d and I hated the continuity that began with the New Order and continued with the Young Blood. It transformed BJ from a glorious fusion of the Morals of Captain America, the Attitude of Vegeta, and the Pragmatism of John Wick into a PTSD-ridden Tin Man who delivers his lines with the conviction of a man fighting off his sleep medication. I'm working on a massive video project in which I rewrite the entire story of the New Order that keeps BJ's attitude. I shared the outline with a fellow FPS enthusiast. He said I made him more hardcore than the Doom Guy.
