“You, are, so, beautiful, to me…” Man, Patton Oswalt has got some pipes on him! Shame he only got to show them off as a set of anthropomorphic gills, eh? The Deep, alongside Black Noir, has to be what we would call a breakout character from Amazon’s The Boys. He started off as one of the most despicable members of The Seven and now, he’s a fan favorite; both in universe and in real life! Chace Crawford’s masterful portrayal of this emotional wreck of a character has managed to somehow make him more relevant than Queen Maeve, which is surprising given the fact that in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s work, The Deep is nothing more than a background character and a surprising voice of reason.
