I don't think we've ever had so many high level prospects. The future is looking good!

I trust Grier honestly. I think he has done a solid job so far and he's got the team on the right path. It's about development, getting the right coach, and creating a strong culture.

He’s been the best GM in the league so far. Excited to see how he handles the build up part of the rebuild because the tear down has been almost perfect so far

The Hawks are actually in a really good position to rise with us. Not saying I like that, but it is kinda true. I see a lot of their young guys getting their foothold in the NHL kinda like how it is going to be for our prospects by the end of next season

@@insanum666yeah, I agree. The hawks and sharks have similar timelines in terms of rebuilds and highs. The hawks have had the better of us sharks fans, which still keeps me salty about them since our playoff days with them. I know down the line we’ll be fighting with them in the playoffs once again.

@@insanum666 The hawks could have traded Bedard before he played 1 game for them like he was a HOF player and the Hawks GM was not interested so that is a bold move to risk it.

Mike Grier has been very very good so far. Excited to see what he can do in the future. Don’t sleep on Barry Trotz as Nashvilles GM, dudes been successful his whole life.

Im really liking and appreciate the insights Grier is giving. Ofc besides that cant hide much the excitement of having celebrini. The aggressive approach to get quality veterans players to surround the future young core is the right mindset to start trending upwards and make the team and the season be much fun to watch.

Hey Tara and Mike, Thank you for this conversation. It's tough to talk with a GM when so much is at hand and little can be revealed but, you did a really nice job of handling this conversation Tara so thanks. Mr. Grier, I think you have earned that a thousand times over from your long career as a player and the new career as GM of the Sharks. I was and remain very happy that you are here to steer the ship. I think you inherited a pretty stiff challenge when you arrived but, personally I think you have done a very good job navigating this tough time in Sharks history. I have followed the Sharks since their first play off run back in the day and I think its fair to say that as an organization we were never really able to stock up our feeder cupboard so what you are doing is LONG over due! I am really excited by the people you have brought along to help identify, develop and coach up the young players we are acquiring and I look forward to seeing those prospects rolling out of our system to make an impact on the Sharks from this season on. Thank you for all your hard work Mr. Grier and I wish you, your family, Tara and your family nothing but, the best. GO SHARKS!!! Peter St. John Clovis, CA

I loved Grier on the Sabres. As a Sabres fan, trust me Sharks fans, stay the course with this rebuild lol. We rushed two of them and paid a terrible price.

Most teams avoid rebuilding and just reload. Not trading down with a top 10 pick is more a reload move than a rebuild move because no insurance for trading down.

I was skeptical when they first announced GMMG but he has totally won me over. Some fantastic moves and some tough but necessary sacrifices made. But I’m just a few short years he’s built up an insane roster of young high level prospects and an insane amount of good picks. Really excited to see what this team looks like 2-3 years from now. Also announce Sturm as HC already and let’s really get things going.

definitely excited to see the sharks get back in the mix soon. i route for an east coast team so we don't see them play much, but fuck if i don't love a good west coast playoff battle between the sharks and LA or Anaheim or whoever

Never doubted Grier. We were handcuffed because of all the bad contracts DW executed. EK65 being the main one. Since he signed that contract, I said it will come back to haunt the franchise and dismantle the core, which is did. No cap space for Timo, had to ship him. Hertl injurty prone and still had too many years on his contract, he should not have agreed to go to Vegas of all teams, but it is what it is and I doubt he will have luck on his side there. We needed to dump the books, $38M in cap space this year which is great. After 2 seasons, we will be cleared from majority of our long term DW deals and have lots of cap to work with. 3-4 years, we'll be a playoff team again. The next core will bring San Jose the first cup.
