I love that even though this clip is "Brennan's the bad guy" its mostly just the players cussing him out while he politely takes it

"Gonna kill that dog" remains one of my favourite moments, for how it just kind of came out of nowhere to make me laugh

My favorite part of this is when Lou yells with a voice full of desperation "Somebody call wizards of the coast! What kind of weird homebrew bullshit is this, you sick fuck!?"

*picks up an insane amount of dice* "You're SICK" *just picks up more dice* "Somebody stop him!" *1 more dice* 😂😂

I never realise how much swearing is in this show until they bleep it out

The switch from "You're sick! Stop it!" to near incomprehensible beeping about Reddit is truly beautiful.

I do wish I could find a clip of ACOC when Brennan says "well, we're going to do this battle a bit differently" and gets up then Zac is like "thought Brennan was gonna punch me"

There's something about the "I'm all the bad guys" line that makes it simultaneously both immensely dorky and hilarious, but also a genuinely cool one-liner clapback

Everytime he mugs the camera when he adds another die to a damage roll, it increases my resolve to be a DM.

Brennan is honestly my favorite person in the world. He's somehow simultaneously hilarious, down to earth, and incredibly intelligent, insightful, and creative. He's genuinely a national treasure.

Watching this on Dropout you eventually go numb to all the swearing, then you whatch this and realize what an ordeal it is to censor these guys.

Y'all I wanna say that I love Brennan's DMing even when he's a jerk because when the players do good they do Good when things are bad they're terrible. It doesn't ever really feel like he's railroading them or that they're powers are neutered. I say that cause I've watched or listened to Critical Role with Matt Mercer and the vibe is different so different. Where Matt is like the stern Dad when you do good you get a nod or something. Whereas Brenna is the Dad when you do good you go out for ice cream cake. If that makes sense.

reveling in the defeat of your PC's might be a pretty important DM skill to have. When things go dire, you and your players will only feel down and anxious, but if things go dire and you revel in it, then the players/PC's have something else to feel: Wanting to get vengeance on the villain that did it, which makes for a better time than just feeling down

Bleeping out profanity usually annoys me but just the stream of them makes it super hilarious! Just an onslaught from the players hahaha

As a DM, I can tell you when you have to start rolling like 10d8 or something and you don't have that many so you roll and roll and roll, the screaming of "STOP!!! TOO MANY DICE!! STOP!!!" is very real

Also I hope he knows how much his players appreciate the work he puts in and on top of that how much we as fans do as well 🎶 I got into DM'ing a few years ago and you can really see the expirience he has when he works and it's pretty inspiring. That's all, stay slick

I just had my first DnD session, and because Brennan was the sole reason for me to start my life as an adventurer, this is the forum I'm using to share my experience. First of all, I fucking love DnD. We spent 4 hours being bumbling buffoons and doing, and I mean that, astronomically bad. But it was so fun! The only thing I didn't fail was my first roll, which was performance for a village dance. Then I repeatedly got blinded by the moon because of nat1 rolls while trying to check out the sudden werewolf plague, our tiefling sorcerer repeatedly faceplanted on the ground while trying to get on the roof of a building, only to give up and roll a nat20 stealth instead, our half-orc druid decided to use their talk to animals skill to get almost killed by a werewolf that obviously didn't want to be calmed down by a very stupid purple giant. Then our monk split, recruited a halfling ranger and decided to do a heist on the mayor's estate, because the mayor had just been kidnapped by werewolves, and both of them barely got out unscathed. Meanwhile, our rogue also split and got to horribly fail at threatening the village blacksmith into making him a silver-lined dagger. Not only did he walk in on the smith and his wife having sex, he also fucked up bad in the intimidation department. (don't give the guy that you're currently threatening your dagger and then roll a 2 on intimidation.) And the rest of the party discussed how to get silver weapons and after playing ping pong with the one silver sword they had, ultimately decided to just go to the hospital instead to get the half-orc back to health. Our current stand is that we have barely any weapons, half of us haven't even met, we're all scattered around the village, we don't have any information besides that nobody in that village is particularly helpful with anything and have 4 hours left to save the mayor and his family from a horde of lycanthropes before the sun rises. During the course of the game, I personally rolled 3 nat1 and in total we had 7 nat1s. And we did rotate dice eventually, so it was simply the worst luck anyone's ever had, and not our equipment that was faulty. Also, I'm pretty sure that the orc and I are the only two people who are aligned as good.

The fact that this mostly just bleeps is hilarious

When the table erupts for a solid 30 seconds of practically straight "bleep"ing the DM is doing their job perfectly

And this is just moments of him riling up the players, it doesn’t even have some of the dramatic or creepy villainy like “Romance Partner Baron” or the scene in Crown of Candy that actually had Emily and Siobhan crying. Such a great show! 🙂

This is even more hilarious as the bleeped out version then when we saw these moments in the show
