Even though ilaiyaraja said some controversial statements about 96 movie,cinema express didn't make it as head line in thumbnail to attract more number of viewers like other channels,this increases the respect towards sudhir & cinema express team...

I met him last year in Nov 2019 and told the same thing to Raja Sir . It was a rare opportunity . Feel proud to say Kannada Music was at peak with GKV and Raja Sir. Raja Sir's earlier association with Kannada Music is even more a proud feeling before he even actually started doing music as independent composer . Something that Kannadigas will cherish for ever. He is truly a legendary composer with unique talent . Long live Isai Gnani (Sangeetha Gnani) .

Kudos to the anchor who definitely brought the best out of Raaja in this interview. Even though I'm a big fan of Raaja I'm always nervous watching his interviews as he sometimes touches the wrong chord.. but here Rajaa was completely at ease and opened out a lot. watching the whole interview was just like being in trance .

I love raja songs a lot .... But recently2022 Raja faced a controversial issues and ppl without any integrity and decency abused him very badly...... After that only I started love him and his music songs more and more and I wonder what a genius and gods gift he is to Tamil ppl ..... ஞானியின் இசை கேட்க ஞானம் அங்கே தேவையன்று. ஆனால் ஞானியின் விடை புரிந்திட ஞானம் கட்டாயம் இருந்திட வேண்டும். உதாரணம் : இசையை நான் தேர்வு செய்யவில்லை. இசை தான் என்னைத் தேர்வு செய்தது என்பதில் இசைக்கு பதிலாக இறைவன் என்று பதிலீட்டால் ஞானம் உறுதுணையாகும்

Wow superb interviewing! You were so comfortable talking to the maestro! Most other interviewers are really nervous around him, start praising him too much and asking him questions that make him cringe. But you were respectful but still were confident and went deeper, asking him questions that he likes to answer. Good job bro, best wishes for a great career in journalism!

Excellent Interview Sudhir. I'm a big time fan of Ilaiyaraaja and have not probably not missed any of his public speeches or interviews. Though I like hearing him, each of his interviews/speeches would have some element of avoidable questions or answers and it would bring out a tinge of sadness. This one is an exception!! Have never seen one that's as smooth as this one. This is by far the most natural interviews of Raja sir. He was just his natural self and the body language conveyed that he was just comfortable talking to you. The questions flowed naturally, and so were the answers. Questions were somewhat akin to Kannadasan's lyrics and Ilaiyaraaja's music. Anyways, can go on and on, but will stop here. Excellent work Sudhir for getting the best out of Ilaiyaraaja.

The idea of the Ilayaraja's statement here is very clear that he didn't know of the context in which the songs are used in 96 film. I feel he's criticizing only using his songs as Interlude and background score just to be shown as a period film which we have also seen many films do that. But in 96, The context itself is to sing S Janaki songs so I don't think whatever Ilayaraja has told here has to do with 96. I request people to Stop exaggerating out of context things just so to demean Ilayaraja. This is an amazing Interview. Although I condemn the usage of masculinity to undermine someone.

IR does not watch movies like you do! His comment is NOT towards 96 or Govind Vasantha. It is about USING his music WITHOUT his permission in movies liberally, as if they are "entitled" to use it. UNDERSTAND that and then talk. Don't take everything "literally". Here that word means "INCOMPETENCY". Those are NOT SJ's songs! What a SELF-entitlement! That is the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY of Ilayaraja!
