I'm gonna share my favorite Kobe moment. I'd love to hear yours. When we were getting blown out by Boston in Game 6 I watched the whole beatdown. The look on Kobe's face, the regret, the pain, the loss all told me we were winning the chip the next year. And he kept that serious never smiling face all the way through to the 2009 finals where the job was finally finished. In retrospect, it's even more memorable because of what he didn't do, throw his teammates under the bus or beg for more help
I’m not sure if I have a favorite moment. But I always admire Kobe for how hard he played the game and how much he cared about it. The world hasn’t been the same since he passed away but his legacy is still alive 💜💛🙏🐍
Too many unfabricated moments to choose from. I guess the Utah airballs. A team with 3 All-Stars didn't have the balls to get them to win against UTAH. But an 18 year old did. That was the beginning of Kobe's legend.

Thank you for your hard work in shedding light in so many of the overlooked crevices of nba basketball. You’re knowledge of the game and understanding of the history of the game is a delight.
Respect to Mamba. Amazing player and arguably a top 5 player of all time. Too bad these ex nba players and sport analysts be throwing shade at Kobe since he left and up Lebron ahead of Kobe.
The media will not tell you, Kobe is the only player in NBA history with over 33K points, over 6200K assists, over 7K rebounds and 5 NBA championships. Not Kareem, not wilt, not Russell, not Magic, not MJ, not Bird, not Curry, not, LeBron. Kobe, stands alone on the mountain with these credentials.
He should definitely be on the Mt. Rushmore of the NBA. He was the next best thing to Jordan, it's criminal how LeBron and Clutch sports have tried to diminish Kobe's career.
@HannibalBarca-d8e LeBron is better than Kobe and ranks higher all time due to his far superior stats as well as accolades and more statistically dominant seasons that are really good especially on the advanced stats of things Kobe didn’t lead the nba at any point in any advanced stat category which shows he was never truly dominant Kobe Bryant is a top 10 player of all time and you can make a decent argument he’s top 5 but he definitely isn’t top 3 And you cannot put him in the same discussion with MJ LeBron and Kareem. As a Kobe guy, even I cannot place him as the "Greatest" player of all-time above someone like Jabbar who dominated both NCAA and NBA at an unprecedented level. Bryant was maybe the most skilled player I ever saw, certainly the most explosive. While defamed by sports critics and robbed of MVP's by the NBA I still got Mamba ahead of Steph, Bird, LeBron, Shaq and Duncan.
Technically you could make the argument that Jabbar didnt do much from 74 when oscar retired until he got magic in 80. That's a long span of non-dominance. Not hating, dont get me wrong
@@mike_tkgchs Incorrect. Jabbar was on Laker teams with no talent, yet he still stacked up MVP's at a record number. Do you realize how dominant you have to be to still win MVP awards while your team is not a competitive playoff team? No, I don't think you realize who you are dealing with..

What an inspiration & true legend

Happy Birthday to The Black Mamba KOBE BEAN BRYANT 8/24 🐍 During Kobe's memorial (which bron was absent for I might add) MJ said when Kobe passed away a piece of him died. As AI mentioned killers respect killers. Enough said! Don't be fool by stat padding leloser james ppl smh
Stat padding? When kobe bryant received an all star selection in his last season while averaging only 17 points on 35% shooting on 28% three point shooting but you don't call that stat padding?
I was a teenager when Kobe was drafted. I followed the NBA closely and LOVED Jordan. And because I loved MJ, I hated Kobe and the MJ comparisons. For about 16 years I watched and laughed as the Lakers kept suppressing his talents, surrounding him with clowns, and his career was riddled with injuries. I didn't want him to get close to Jordan! But then as his career was winding down, I started to realize that the career I was watching so closely to nitpick it apart, was one of the most incredible personal journeys I'd ever witnessed. I will never forget sitting down and watching that final game and marveling at the awesome career I had watched unfold. In my eyes he went from villain to my personal favorite basketball player of all time.
i don't get why so many of the comments praising kobe have to also be lebron haters. why is it that liking one of these players means you hate the other? it's so strange
@Robss_ The wild thing is, many LeBron stans do it to Jordan *all the time*. So in kind... they do the same to Kobe even though they're play styles were similar, Jordan was not his only inspiration or mentor (Footwork he got my Hakeem, Defense and perimeter post ups GP, and 3 pt and drilling contested shots Reggie). Then again, when it comes to who's on Mt. Rushmore... Kobe is imo is #1 up there. You can't be an inefficient shooter and have the 2nd most points scored in a regulation season game with 81 points. That was before he changed from 8 to 24 too.
@@fgetsuga0 I don’t really get the 81pts game argument. You can have a phenomenal game like that and still not be particularly efficient throughout your career. Kobe averaged less points on worse efficiency compared to both Lebron and Jordan, throughout his whole career. Players like Jordan, Lebron and KD are statistically better and more efficient scorers than Kobe
Thanks for putting respect on Kobe’s name. Kobe would have definitely had more rings if he had a little more help during his prime years between Shaq and Gasol. I’ve never been able to rate players like Lebron high because of their lack of defensive effort and of what seems like a lack of competitiveness.
I truly believe him being Catholic is the main reason the media was stacked against him. The media is not controlled by Catholics, and I believe the true evils of the world are set against the Catholic Church. The fact that he stuck it out and remains a GOAT to so many is a testament to how strong his faith was to overcome it all.

@@Robss_ I thought you were joking. You actually don't know basketball, well when you look at stats and accomplishments. Kobe beats your boy LeBron you think basketball is a individual sport. If you go by that then yes LeBron is better if you go by it being a team sport. What that means is the star makes other people with less talent way better than they originally were. That's called a Good leader . LeBron is all about self stats. He makes his teammates way worse. No one likes him. You won't find One ex-teammate speaking well of him. Kobe Bryant had a lot of bums on his team. He let them know that he was the leader. He found out what their weaknesses were and their strengths and he changed each individual teammate based on what they needed for the team to succeed. LeBron James and you have no idea of what I just said. Kobe has six rings. LeBron has four three of them. He relied on another Superstars to take the lead in the final moments. if you want To defend LeBron ask him to pay you like he does the rest of the people in the media right now you working for free when others are getting paid to do the same thing you're doing lie for a Billionaire

Kobe in the 🐐 discussion is LAUGHABLE! Kobe was coming off the bench his rookie season while LeBron was representing team USA in the Olympics! Kobe had 3 other All Stars on his team (something LeBron NEVER had!) Shaq, Jones and Van Exel and didn't win a title. Kobe was Robin to Shaq's Batman for 3 straight titles. Shaq who's a top 10 player ALL TIME btw leaves LA (cause Kobe was jealous of Shaq, shot LA out of the Finals in 04, called the cops on Shaq and got boo'd at Staples because of it) wins a title with Wade in just his 2nd season without Kobe. Kobe however missed the playoffs in his prime while being regarded as the best player in the NBA because he needed Phil's triangle offense. Phil returns, Kobe makes the playoffs but blows a THREE-ONE LEAD! Went through the weakest Western conference ever in 09-2010, most misses in NBA history even though LeBron played 2 more full seasons. Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy exposed the NBA in an interview where he stated the NBA higher ups told him and other refs to give Kobe special treatment! MJ and LeBron. Kobe isn't even top 5! 💯

It's always hard for me to make a GOAT case for Kobe, cause him being so similar to Jordan in many aspects offers the opportunity for direct comparisons. Only reason MJ is the goat is because he came first and stood out more in a less teams less talent expansion era but at actual basketball skill Kobe is the best
Kobe is one of the greatest players ever. I got extremely lucky to tune into the NBA right before he got his 1st MVP. I hated him without even really watching him and thought he was a ball hog. Til I saw ‘08 season, guy was incredible. I watched him earn those 2 chips in 2010 and 2011 and he earned my respect. From then on he wowed me with his shot making, ability on the court and above all his mentality. Toughness and determination embodied. Anyone who says he’s not top 5 or top 10 just never got to experience what the Mamba Mentality really means. The guy is a GOAT candidate and top 5 easily. Rest in power Kobe you are solely missed 😢

Lebron James more rebounds, assists, playoff points per game, more MVPs, more Finals MVPs, more playoff game winners, most all time regular season points per game, more All-star selections, more NBA finals triple doubles, better three point shooting(and you say Lebron James is a power forward and technically shooting guards are supposed to have way much better three point shooting than Lebron James), and has better clutch statistics Goat debate: 58.3% of NBA players say Jordan is the goat(officially the goat) 33% say lebron james is the goat(officially the king) Only 6% say brick mamba is the goat(officially the choker). Who has a better true shooting percentage? Lebron James Who has a better Player efficiency rating? Lebron James Who has a better effective field goal percentage? Lebron James. Who has 10 triple doubles in the NBA Finals? Lebron James. Who shot 25% in the NBA finals game 7? Kobe Bryant Has Kobe Bryant ever broke a record? Oh yes: Most missed shots in NBA history in 1 less season played than Lebron James. That's the only thing. Go get some help. Who has 2 40+ 3 point percentage seasons? Lebron James Who has 0? Kobe Bryant. Who never had a season above 50% shooting? Kobe Bryant Who got selected for the All star game when only averaging 17 points on 35% shooting in his final NBA season and single-handingly leading his team to two 60+ loss records? Kobe Bryant Who airballed four times in the clutch? Kobe Bryant. Lebron James never did and he has the most playoff game winning buzzer beaters but you salty Kobe fans say he's a choker when who AIRBALLED FIVE TIMES IN THE FINAL FIVE MINUTS OF AN ELIMINATION GAME? Who carried his team by himself to an all star with his one-man performance while leading his team to a 17-65 record while shooting 35% FG percentage? Kobe Bryant. Lebron James and Michael Jordan have never carried their team to a 60 loss season but because of how salty Kobe Bryant fans are they just don't accept the truth. Jordan is definitely better than Lebron James while Lebron james is DEFINITELY BETTER THAN KOBE BRYANT. I don't want to hear it, but you are JOKING that Lebron James is worse than kobe bryant stop making BIASED opinions. I mean, everyone says NBA players think Kobe is better than Lebron James and only the media likes Lebron James but look at the stats, 33 percent of NBA players think Lebron James is the goat to 6% for Kobe Bryant.

Thank you for this tremendous video, I can only imagine how much work and research that went into producing it. You are the absolute best. RIP black mamba. #kobegoat
Dude he has one MVP and in the prime Shaq/Kobe days he was 9th in MVP voting. His own coach Phil Jackson said Kobe’s reputation overrated him in some ways. His finals performance are pretty meh especially in the 4th qtr and he was hardly ever the clear the cut best player in the league when he played hence his one MVP. He’s a great player no doubt but closer to top 10-12 of all time (which is still an amazing feature). A great role model for where hard work can take you.
You obviously didn't watch him play and are only seeing the stats. He should have like 3 to 4 more mvps with the numbers he put up since I know you're all about stats being a lbj fan.
Unfortunately many factors can hinder a players perception. As the mvp voting process changes at different times always subjective. The accusations against kobe, unquestionably cost him some of those voting awards. Lebron won back to back mvps while kobe won titles. You could argue that from about 2004-2010 kobe was the best player in the league. Kobes legacy is complex. But he is undoubtedly a top 10 player all time. I'd say he clears lebron pretty easily. Clears shaq. So that should put him at 9th all time as a minimum
@@jlrob85Kobe was in GOAT talks in late 2000s/early2010s just saw a video of Mark Jackson during 2008 Finals saying he is on MJs level something he thought he would never say about a player Now all of sudden since he retired/died his legacy is getting trashed worse and worse every year that goes by and don’t put Kobe outside the top 10 and then pretend you some kind of un biased fan of him to sound smart he has a solid case for No2 ever watch the video
@HannibalBarca-d8e I disagree based on skill. I think Jordan was more fundamental, natural. MJ was more gifted physically too. Kobe had to try and try and go to various trainers to get close to MJ. I think he had to compensate a lot to replicate what Jordan could naturally do after a career of development. I want Kobe to be #1b but I realistically have him about 5. Clown show McRoidrage I have about 18, but I'm sure I forgot some people.
You can argue that Mj had a higher ceiling at that level but Kobe had to go through his with consistency & finesse. Kobe had the deeper pool to swim through & the Lakers pulled through both times... Back to back. So mentality/spirit under pressure Jordan = ceiling/floor , Kobe = wall/rafters
This is music for my ears, as watching Kobe play was food for my soul. Whether he was the best is debatable, but he was GOAT without any doubt. Against all odds, despite all the obstacles. One and only, Kobe Bean. May he rest in peace.
Respect Kobe BUT let’s not get twisted…Kobe has NO GOAT CASE. It’s MJ and you can say Kareem (maybe) but outside of that Kobe is NOT in any GOAT convo. Top 5? Yes but GOAT conversation? NO he isn’t!
Top 5 and no Goat case? What're you talking about bro because once you're top 5 you definitely have a Goat case, but we All know MJ is the Goat no one with sense can deny that. But KOBE does have a Goat case, he was even more skilled than MJ, dude is the most skilled player EVER
@@Ah-nf2vs you literally make no sense. Just cause you are in the top 5 does NOT MEAN you have a GOAT CASE. You just wrote “MJ is the GOAT” so how do Kobe got a goat case yet YOU JUST ADMITTED MJ IS THE GOAT? That means THERE IS NO ONE ABOVE MJ IN GOAT DEBATE. Ya Kobe fans starting to act like Lebron fans. Just cause people say Kobe does not have a goat case does NOT mean he’s not top 5 or top 10. He’s just does NOT have a GOAT CASE vs MJ.
