You can also copy tracks by holding the track and pressing a non blank track. I use that all the time because I like to keep all variations of 1 track below each other. But grouping all tracks per variation is of course a viable alternative.
Oh that's cool, it just pastes it in there I'm guessing? I typically like to organize the tracks directly under each other but I wind up having to move them around all the time haha.
I'm really surprised at how close the Deluge and the MPC were timelines. I wonder if I'm starting to come up against a wall where I'm fighting my own ability rather than the machines.
You could have saved a few seconds by holding record and pressing the mute pad on the track you want to record on. That way you don't have to do the shift+encoder thing to shorten the track after recording it.
I picked up an OP-Z but God this has so many features that the banana doesn't and I'm considering selling and grabbing this. (or buying and selling because I'm impatient)
It really depends on what you're used to. This machine helps you truly listen to what you're making, and without a screen it's truly a DAWLESS approach to making music. It's a game changer for my music, especially performing live.
In reality , you don’t really use the display that much when building tracks. It’s all about the grid, which is effectively your display of the music you are creating.
