I play heaps of other games mate, thats what gaming is about mate. Creators don't just play one game, That would be boring.

I suspect this creature is built into the map. My buddy and I encountered it last night in Portland. Best thing was that neither of us had any idea it existed and were caught totally off guard. I was knocked unconscious twice while trying to run from it, while my buddy was knocked out once, but it did not attack him a second time. He laid prone after waking up and it left him alone. It may behave like a bear in that regard. We both have a sickness status that has remained even after a few hours, even though we immediately took every med in the game. Neither us are showing any symptoms...yet. Deer Isle is an incredible map with tons of cool POIs and secrets to discover.

ARMA 2 is ARMA 3 it is the same engine just polished, this was originally the ARMA 1 engine it's now 20 years old DAYZ uses the polished ARMA 3 engine nowadays.

You can't kill it

Apparently the dev changed it so he can have the ability to spawn very rarely at midnight on full moon and low pop count on server.

Deer isle is a custom map for dayz with heaps of features, Geebus and I were exploring power plant and we encountered the fog thing.

i have a deer isle server and its called the jmc-smokey. its set to spawn between 2 and 3am at about 8 locations at random and it cuts u and teleports u 7-10k away
