Terror Formars was great because it was kind of silly, and terrifying and the author wasn't afraid to kill anyone. The first season anime adaptation wasn't great but it wasn't bad either I don't know what anyone was thinking with season 2. Somehow they managed to turn a psycho-action thriller vibe into one that was more like a high school slice-of-life vibe.

Let's be honest here, the faces of the roaches are literally built like Obunga. Quite the series.

Makes sense for the boxer to be a mantis shrimp. They are notoriously hard to keep in tanks because they keep breaking glass.

4:26 I can't even imagine how terrifying that moment was. I hope they portrayed it well. It sounds like it has the potential to be one of the top highlights in the series.

Don't you love that basically every anime fails to have a seaon 2 after a massive cliffhanger.

This was actually a live action movie as well, for anyone curious. Equally terrifying.

so, every character is completely fine and overpowering the opponent until they inevitably get a sad flash back in the middle of a fight and takes a hit while standing still

Its too bad this anime didn't continue. It was such an interesting anime with the idea of intelligent cockroaches and humans being spliced with specific earth animals that either gave them a huge advantage over the cockroaches or made them somewhat more useful as support. Such a clever concept and a shame the series was never able to be finished

Fun fact: for those who don’t know, the live action movie is actually the story of BUGS 2, with Ichiro being the traitor and Komachi the MC of the movie, the leg cockroach takes their dna from the locust guy, the rainbow one takes the dna from the rainbow stag girl, I can't remember the others.

I swear it seems like when there is only one season of an anime show, it's so much better. I loved the design of the alien roaches and the fight scenes were badass.

Correction Peacock mantis shrimp is the strongest punch in the entire animal kingdom. So fast and so hard infact it created a small burst of explosion due to heat and velocity built by the punch when in motion and created an air bubble that shatters around it i.e usually shells or aquarium glass. I don't think the anime really put it in full detail. If a human possessed this it would literally be like one punch man 🤟🏽

I am glad i have the whole anime chapters, and books, including ovas, this anime is a gem.

Hi, to anyone interested in watching the series even further I strongly recommended reading the Manga. The anime skips a couple chapters early on (2 ovas cover some of the starting chapters but not all). I promise it gets even better than this. S2 messes up the watch order so I don't recommend watching that and instead go straight to the Manga. There's around 200 current chapters (author is currently on hiatus for being sick) but if you want to read the Manga I recommend starting at around chapter 50-55

The one thing I never understood about these anime was why everyone got so emotional about their sad pasts in the middle of a fight. Like if u really wanted to die on this mission then that's easy but they let their guards down so many times.

THIS ANIME IS SO AWESOME. Thanks to you I discovered it. I finished first part/season. Also, just after I started watching it, I did travel on a vacation and I rent an appartement with my family, only to discover many roaches (BIG FLYING ones) on that appartement. I didn't sleep well that night but we killed like 6 of them, and we didn't have much choice. We got our money back and left at in the morning lmao. I'm kind of get startled scared when I see a flying cockroach especially. Because it's hard to kill. Anyway what I love about this anime, is there are some similarities with Jojo's Bizzare adventure somehow. Like the sound of the punches and when you just think some cockroach is escaping, they introduce some music with piano, and the protagonist says that he already caught it with his strings. Gives you those "Yare yare daze" vibes so much. Also Michelle is the best girl on the anime.

i think the live action is better, but the way you describe it makes it like the anime is better.

Fun fact: the fact about huntsman spiders stamina could not be further from the truth huntsman spiders are active and aggressive hunters never actually stopping hunting unless to eat

The countries still being at odds even after hundreds of years is the most realistic thing in the show 😂

The guy with Mantis Shrimp power should literally be Might guying that cockroach man into guts and shell fragments due to pretty much sonic punches a mantis shrimp can break bones with a punch but underwater they literally shoot a jet of super heated water at their foes and food alike

Scary thing is, you can't even nuke that planet, since roaches can survive nuclear blast.

The Mantis Shrimp guy should have absolutely smashed everything that was breathing there, with his punching power 😅

Funny enough after seeing the recap of ther live action, it's interesting to see parts that it adapted and parts it embelished. So far though it better than netflix, so theres that.
