won a franchise record 57 games last season after coming off a chip. Dead last in 3 point attempts but still 5 best offense. Losing KCP stinks but CB will be a solid replacement, KCP playoffs werent great and he was the oldest starter on the team at 31. Media members are wildly overreacting.
People really didn't watch the nuggets this season if they think braun is ready to start and play 34 minutes a night guard starting wings especially when gordon is off the floor and make non open threes or off the bounce mid range shots...he just isn't there yet....kcp isn't 34 or a 14 year veteran yet....he plays a lot... he has started on 2 title teams as a vital piece and was a starter on a pistons playoff team that pushed lebron and the title winning cavs in 2016...they don't have brown either and saric murray russ all get banged up yearly...holmes is already done for the year...watson stinks zeke is almost unplayable....dj is washed...the other young guys all are terrible
Last season, they had a bad game seven meltdown. Let's not overthink that part. Losing KCP is a big blow. Maybe, they should have tried to get someone like Buddy Hield to replace him before Golden State snagged him.
Man that 2018 Houston rockets team smh. If CP3 doesn’t go down with an injury both CP3 and Harden have a ring and they’d be credited for defeating the greatest team of all time in the playoffs…
It’s so sad to watch a franchise like the nuggets finally get an all time great winner, and then they can only manage one or two seasons of contention before their ownership throws in the towel and wants to start building long term through the draft again. Right now comparing this roster to 2023, Braun is expected to fill the KCP role and won’t be as good, Russ is expected to fill the Bruce Brown role and won’t be as good, Saric is expected to fill the Jeff Green role but won’t be as good, nobody is expected to fill the Braun role off the bench, and then we don’t even know if Jamal will ever look like 2023 again. They’re closer to the lakers than the thunder! And that’s not okay!
They had to use a lot of energy to beat the Lakers and then had to face a team built to beat them with size. And they still barely lost the series. The Lakers were a better team than people give them credit for last playoffs.
The issue is that team had 0 excuse being a one hit wonder, the ownership just prefers it rather than paying for a contender. Which is stupid. We all know that when organizations win they become valued more than. The warriors were like the browns of the nba and now they’re gonna be a top 5 most valuable franchise in the league for the next 20 years. If the nuggets could win a second ring they’d be making more of a profit while in the second apron than they will be now.
@@eliyarrows2456 they committed long term money to their entire core. How is that not considered paying for a contender? They finished as the #2 seed in the West last year losing out on the tie breaker with OKC. If you are equating over spending and going into the 2nd apron as “paying for a contender” you are mistaken. The only 2nd apron team that is a championship contender are the Boston Celtics. The other 3 teams (Suns, Wolves, Bucks) aren’t any better off than the Nuggets are. The Nuggets are a 1st Apron team along with the Lakers/Heat/Knicks/76ers. All of these heavy spending teams have weaknesses.
Warriors had Steph, Klay, Draymond, at some point even Durant. Nuggets on the other hand are a clown organization with zero ambitions with best draft luck in history. They don't care. If Jokic is smart, he should demand a trade.
