Bridges is a smart move, probably would do two first, or 3 protected first, Boban, Mitch. Resign Hartenstein, get a shot creator for the MLE, keep Precious, trade Jericho Sims for some 2nd round picks, get a backup big like Drummond, keep Burks, and trade one of the 2024 draft picks for a future first. A starting lineup of Hartenstein, Randle, OG, Bridges and Brunson would be tough for anyone to handle especially with a deep dependable bench
Even if they trade for Donovan I don’t see them going far. Maybe a 4th or 5th seed. I wouldn’t see them as better than Dallas, Denver, Minnesota, and OKC. Probably not even better than a healthy Memphis team or a Clippers team.
There’s nothing like an NHL game. It’s about tradition. Every city has their own unique chants when they score and traditions. I love the Yankees but it feels corporate nowadays. The Knicks are fun when they are winning. I dunno about Jets fans but MetLife stadium is a nightmare whenever I go to root the Giants. Going to a New York Ranger game is very intimate sports experience.
All I know is that if I were good enough to play in the NBA, I'd be a bench player. I'm not great at getting things started and I'm not clutch when the going gets tough. If I were in the Army, you'd want my help digging your foxhole, but you certainly wouldn't want me to be in there with you when the bullets start flying. I see now why people get so much acclaim for playing well in tight games and challenging moments. I would wither like a tropical flower in an icy desert.
imagine Michael playing with Arvydas. :( that one kills me to no end, even though i know that one requires a geopolitical butterfly's wings to go along with the Ben Bradlee speech
Absolute most boring matchup I can ever remember in a Conference Finals. I literally don't even want to watch it which is sad after such a long season and so much promise with the Bucks, Knicks, Philly, Miami, etc.
This entire Pod was just Rusillo weighing how much he could tell his boss to calm down. I generally agree with BS a lot, but his trying to turn Ant's 6-24 into the game for all ages was ridiculous.
Might be the single worst recurring guest BS has had in the 10 plus years I’ve listened to the podcast. His condescension, endless tangents about nothing, his nonsensical points…it’s tough.
If the jets go 5-0 with Rodgers then NY will go nuts. Morris not being able to acknowledge that as a “culture critic” based in NY just demonstrates how corrupt and lost our entertainment outlets/institutions have become. Rodgers beliefs dont fit nicely into the coastal elite ideology, so anyone who buys into that mindset will automatically have an adverse reaction to any possible positive effect Rodgers may have. It was a small exchange that was part of a bigger conversation but it really stood out to me.
Why did all the postgame act as if Tatum didn’t show up!? Dude had 36 points and whenever he sat down the team fell apart. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills 🤷♂️ A quiet 36? Wtf?
QQ: Why would advertisers ever accept fewer games and ad units? Increasingly frequent blowouts and lack of effort even in key playoff games are the real reason no one cares about the NBA anymore beyond game 6 or 7 of a playoff series.
The Anthony Edwards of other sports, Criteria is has to be at least a Top 20 player: Tennis: Carlos Alcaraz (Talent + Persona) or Nick Kyrgios (Mainly just Persona and not top 20 tho) Baseball: Fernando Tatis or Ronald Acuna Football: Stefon Diggs or Davante Adams Soccer: Would've said Neymar hands down a few years ago but Vinny Jr or Jude Bellingham Hockey: Matthew Tkachuk
The NBA is getting more physical and many of the older era stars are having trouble adjusting to it. In other words, Tatum and Brown are part of that soft era.
I'm an Italian American from NYC but c'mon. Anyone that followed the Knicks knows Jalen Brunson is the reason we got to game 7 of the second round this year. The Big Ragu was extremely critical to our success and had huge moments but there really is no comparing the two.
@@AdamRaia yeah, but being the best player sometimes has nothing to do with how people may react to a person. There’s retired nba players right now who think that Brunson can’t be a superstar due to being “boring”
