I love your videos and have been following you from the start...One of my particular favourites was the real locations of 'Waiting To Exhale'...Great work! I cant wait to watch this 💯
He SA all the members that’s why so many members ran away. There’s proof out there but of course, jay z and beyonce.. if they can end aaliyah’s life for beyonce’s success, then SA of young women by her father is nothing to her. Disguising people!!!
That’s not true the lead sing was supposed to be Angela Davis but when Matthew Knowles had became the manager he had put Beyoncé as the lead plus do your research
Great piece. Beyonce was well aware she was favored. Her father is the manager, her mother is the stylist and she's singing all the lead on every damn track. I've been a Destiny's Child fan from day 1 and I was surprised to learn what a good singer and vocalist Kelly was only at the end of the group when she was singing lead or given extended parts and not just chorus. LaToya was also a good singer but I only realized this when she put out her solo work years later. Point is, all the girls, except Beyonce wasn't given the opportunity to perfect their craft. They weren't being given the opportunity to write, to sing leads or even produce. Of course Kelly got to do all that way later on their last album. Only Beyonce got the opportunity to perfect her singing, song writing and producing skills and thus helped created the superstar she became. I like Beyonce but she had a leg up on all the girls. Perhaps she was the most talented of the group but I can't say for sure since other girls didn't get the opportunities to improve and perfected herself through experience like Beyonce did.
Agree with pretty much all of your comment but Kelly has literally had solos and on the songs and recognition outside the group since their first album, so not sure why you, as a fan, didn’t know she could sing until their last album
My thing is that Beyoncé got the most because she worked the hardest. They ALL had the same access to resources, the same vocal coach(David Lee Brewer), the same dance instructor, everything. Even they said that while they were having fun, Beyoncé was working. Kelly has gone on record saying that Beyoncé would sit in the booth while the other girls recorded and would give them tips and advice.
The reason Kelly and Michelle sang lead in destiny fulfilled is because Beyoncé wrote it that way Stop shading Beyoncé!!! She supported those women. They’re still best friends to this day!!!
What irked me is when Michelle and Farrah went onstage several times to receive awards for Writings On the Wall, when they didn't sing 1 note on it! That was all LeToya and Latavia, yet they were robbed of that moment! Those 2 girls were very much a part of that project and they deserved recognition for that!
The common denominator with the members that left is their dissatisfaction with Matthew and management. There’s no reason why Latavia and Letoya couldn’t have their own managers. It’s clear Matthew really only had Beyoncé’s best interest at heart so someone needed to have the other girl’s best interest.
Not even Beyonce if that thing of him stealing her money is true 😩 (i know she said she only fired him because she wanted him to be family again… but the way she threw him out during the theft allegations didn’t help him at all)
@Day bud, that’s not entirely true when she featured on David Guetta track when love takes over, she slayed with that and I felt we were working with something. I felt she should have just made albums in the dance field. With David guetta producing her records.
I'm sorry, but having two managers for the same act makes no sense. That way the label would be spending twice the money for a job that can be done by one person. I understand where Latavia and Letoya were coming from, but two managers for the same group is a financial stretch that obviously no corporate figure wants to pay for
Finally someone who gives LaTavia her flowers as the co-founding member of the group with Beyonce. She brought Kelly into the group! I’ve always hated how the DC documentaries always made it seem like or said that LaTavia and LeToya LEFT the group. They NEVER left they were REPLACED. (Side bar: Kelly has always made it known that LaTavia, was the one who told her to come audition for the group)
Most of the Destiny's Child documentaries rarely bring this up. This fact makes the betrayal she received even worse. They always tried to paint her as bitter. She had known Beyonce and her dad since they were literal children, and to drop her the way they did must have hurt deeply.
Learning this makes me look at the break in a new light. Matthew was always wrong, but to kick out a founding member and another long time band member was just plain wrong, these girls were literally GIRLS! They expected their manager to protect them
LeToya did so good for herself, and now she is on Power, one of the biggest shows out now, so proud of her comeback. She didn’t stay down and that’s so inspirational
Notice at 42:15 everyone was worried about how Beyonce felt about loosing the original group members. But nobody ever asked how Kelly or the of the other ladies how they felt. This group was founded on Beyonces career. It was all about her from the beginning.
That’s how they do all the groups, from The Supremes, Jackson 5, SWV, New Edition, N’Sync, and so forth. They always have that one that they put front & center to prepare for a solo career and forget about the rest of the group. The music industry is something else
I will never forget the TLC Fanmail tour. I got to see them all perform before Left Eye passed AND I got to see the original Destiny's Child open for them and perform. That was such an awesome night ✨️ Edit: I think I just exposed my age 🤣😌
@@lilasina7843 Swear girl...my mom and I talk about this sometimes, she's the one that took me and it was my first concert I had been to at that! So thankful for her and that we were able to share that moment together ❤️
wow that’s a special memory. i’m 18 and i only could dream to be born in such a time seeing these incredible black women live and in this era ! needed people like them growing up
Both sentiments can be true. And I'm sure she was going through a lot of emotions especially considering she was a teenager and best friends with LaTavia since 8.
well she did state she was sleeping in her car and stuff like that and thinking she couldn’t sing at all but by the grace of god she had a great solo career !!
I know it was HARD, messy & a lot of favoritism but I’m soo happy Michelle stuck it out through her depression & all. She deserves the world off that alone. 3 legends in my eyes.
Destiny's child fans always drag Michelle I never understood that. Michelle already had an impressive resume upon joining the group but was always treated like a red-haired stepchild by the fans and sometimes Beyonce too
Kelly was put in a difficult position. She knew LeToya & Latavia were being mistreated by The Knowles'. But probably felt it's better to be at the right hand of the devil than in his path.
It's wild that some of Beyonce's complaints about singing all the vocals, and doing most of the recording/work in the studio were all orchestrated by her father!!! And that is EXACTLY what their major complaint was and why they wanted separate management.
That was my first thought!! Like your dad is going to make sure you have the shine and you claimed to write all the songs and didn’t think to give any of the other girls be sides Kelly any stand out parts. That’s your doing not theirs. I would be on the phone too if I didn’t have a part. Then again if voiced to have a part In the song…I’m sure that was not Going to go over well 🙄 it was a catch 22 for them girls and she wrong for that letter
Lets be honest Latoya and Latavia fought back and wasn’t yes men like Kelly and Michelle. Looking back at the older interviews you see they wasn’t with allowing Beyoncé being the only one to talk and Lord getting their own lawyers shows they wasn’t with it. My opinion.
I'm always suspicious of members of groups that are like "I sang 80% of the songs" bc it's not like other members don't want to sing. Nicole said the same thing about PCD. but those girls *wanted* to sing. idk if Bey was aware of what her father was doing, but it came off weird. I'm glad the girls all reconciled, but Letoya and Latavia were definitely wronged.
I don’t think she was fully aware. I believe she was immature and didn’t really understand what was happening. Hell, we don’t know what Matthew was telling her. In the end we saw her, Kelly and Michelle cut ties with him. And when they reunite it’s never under the name Destiny’s Child, so I believe they all know he was the reason for the demise and had them out here beefing tithe their best friends.
Obviously only they know for sure, but my guess is that both Bey and Nicole were manipulated and groomed to believe what the people in power wanted them to, at least on some level. They were both in positions that made them susceptible to being gullible early on in their careers.
I like how at the end you refused to outright villainize anyone. Real life is messy and complicated, and people make mistakes, even if they had the best intentions. It sounds like all the original women have come to peace with how things went down, we all should too lol. As for Farrah, she clearly has underlying things going on, hope she can find peace one day.
One thing about the Early 2000s That the scandals were consistently Juicy and entertaining 😂 and this was before social Media nowadays the scandals are Dark, Fake , and staged 😒
I hate how they complained about LeToya being “tone deaf” and LaTavia only being brought in to “dance”… when they were all best friends. I will always blame Matthew for brainwashing Bey and Kelly to think that the other two were the issue. Smh
I will never forget when “Say My Name” aired. Me & my friends were excited & immediately become confused upon closer look. We were like “HOLD UP! WHERES LATAVIA & LETOYA?!” We felt felt finessed & were in disbelief lol. If info came out about the departure of the 2 original members in a Word Up magazine or something prior to that video, I wouldn’t know. Up until the “Say My Name” premiere I thought it was still the original DC4.
I was sad hearing that Toya and Tavia were no longer members. I was looking for them hard on the say my name video. I recorded the video on the DVR and kept trying to rewind it to look for them 🤣. I loved the original girl group more. I liked the harmonies more. No shade, but I wasn’t a fan of the survivor era that much. It took me to the Destiny Fulfilled era to appreciate Michelle vocals. I wish we could get a reunion with the original members.
I feel like, not only was Bey the only one singing in the group, but she also was dressed up and intentionally made to look better than the other girls. Look back at their costumes. Hers was always the best. She also was the spokesperson of the group. Every interview she was the only one talking while the girls just stayed quiet. When I was little I use to think that that was strange and found it pointless for them to even be a group
There is much wrong with this comment. Their costumes were always tailored to fit their personal style. So they always had the final say in how their costumes looked. Beyoncé was never the spokesperson of the group. First it was LaTavia and then it was Kelly. You can’t rewrite history.
They were basically her back up singers. I’m sure her dad wanted those girls to support Beyoncé’s career, bc I’m sure his main focus was making his daughter a star.
@Day I grew up in it in real time. I remember the radio interviews, the magazine articles, the tv interviews from all 4 of them. I remember the songs that got released from DC and Anjel lmao. Like, everyone just wants to hate Beyoncé, but reserve none of that energy for her daddy or any of the other girls. At the end of the day, all these girls were 15-18, idk why anybody expected them to behave like anything other than immature kids, lol.
@@KiaRoane well have you ever bothered to read what LeToya and LaTavia have said? Lol because that was never the case. DC would have lasted if they could have gotten another manager.
@@labelmeposh exactly I mean it was too obvious so them denying makes it more evident it was bout them but sadly that lyric hasn't really aged well cuz both of them have been successful in their own right
What people don’t understand is that Destiny’s Child brought back the classic way of how girl groups were structured. One lead singer, and the others were back up. Just like “The Supremes,” where Ms. Ross was the lead singer, and the others were back up. That was the structure of the group. They weren’t like groups like TLC, Xscape, SWV, En Vogue, where all of the girls were featured, they all sang leads, they all had shine. Fans knew every girl, and every girl had a fan base, but the fans loved the group as a collective. With Destiny’s Child, it was Beyoncé. That’s why the line up changes didn’t effect them at all. The fans realky did not care. Yes, we were confused, because the video came out and it was like, “Wait!!! Who are those girls??” But after the video played, it was like, “Ohkay! Whatever, Bey is still there.”
Well said. The "back up" girls were really just there to support the lead. Sure they were all cute and could dance but none of them had the charisma or stage presence that Beyonce had. If Beyonce would've left, DC would've died.
I know I will get down-voted for this...but I have to wonder if maybe the reason LeToya and Latavia were "often" seen as "difficult" might have been because they objected to the _very obvious_ favoritism of Beyoncé by her parents? Maybe the reason they had to "lip-sync to her [Beyoncé's] vocals" was because they _weren't allowed_ to sing solos and were _stuck_ harmonizing. Maybe the reason they stayed "glued to their phones" or "asleep in their rooms" was because, again, _what else_ would there have been for them to do since they weren't ever allowed to sing?? Let's be honest; even the fans could tell that Matthew NEVER had _anyone else's_ best interests at heart _besides_ Beyoncé. He used those girls as starting vehicles to get his daughter noticed. And when LeToya and Latavia refused to be controlled and started to (rightfully) question him, he got them *DROPPED* from the label and later blackballed from the industry. No, Matthew *WASN'T* "looking out for all the girls", because if he _was,_ he would NOT have gotten them DROPPED from the label. Even after they were dropped, Matthew, Beyoncé, and Kelly continued to sling mud at the two via interviews. And yes, I believe the song _Survivor_ took shots at Latavia and LeToya. Even _Kelly_ (EVENTUALLY) saw the light once Matthew basically TANKED her first solo album. And I believe the ONLY reason _she_ stayed was because she saw how things turned out for LeToya and Latavia when they began to question the way things were. Wendy Williams called it correctly when she spoke about the other girls basically getting "leftovers".
Agreed! As a child, I always felt something was off about everything that happened and it made me dislike Beyonce. As a teen, I just ran with what they said. As an adult, the child-me saw right through it. It was always about Beyonce.
There was never an issue with their roles in the group. Their lawsuits had audits conducted and it showed they never made any less money. They all threw shots at each other on the radio.
Agreed , and some of these interviews you can tell Beyoncé was clearly lying like the survivor interview lol she said the song took shots at people who said they wasn’t gonna make it come on man by survivor they had platinum albums and records lol so no way by album 3 after all success she was targeting anybody but the old members
Which is why Michelle has bipolar and self esteem issues after years of constantly getting the shorts and the public is still constantly says #poormichelle
I believe Farrah and the other girls. That whole passive aggressive video with the luggage kills me every time! It gives mean girl vibes, and I think she didn’t look happy with them in a lot of pictures because they were a clique. They most likely made her feel left out on purpose. No job is worth that!!
I thought I was the only one who saw that. You could clearly tell Bey was trying to get rid of her that's why she always felt like an outsider cuz they treated her like one
This group was carefully curated for the sole purpose of launching Beyoncé’s career and it came at the terrible detriment of serious mistreatment of LeToya and Latavia as minors. Even as a child I saw something off with how beyonce outfits were always top tier versus the other members in both DC4 & DC3. Growing up I just never gravitated to beyonce because I detest favoritism is passive bullying. To this day I feel horrible for those girls that got mistreated.
When I was younger I really enjoyed their music but I never really liked that obvious favoritism was shown towards beyonce and yes it was obvious that it was all about launching her solo career. It's a shame because it was a GROUP not a solo artist with her backup singers. I wanted to really hear La toya and Le tavia's voices. They should have been taking turns singing lead. Look at En vogue, if you didn't KNOW Dawn was the lead, you couldn't always tell by listening to them...they ALL got the opportunity to sing lead at different times. In pictures and performances for DC, who is center most times?
Now wayment, let's not skip over LeToya's singles from the 2nd album: Regret; Anymore; Good To Me; She Ain't Got LeToya produced some hitz! Her success story was my favorite out of all of Destiny's Child. Can't keep a good woman down
The adults were def to blame for this... Matthew being the main splitting the girls up, I mean they were best friends since 8.. also don’t go hating around in the comment sections. they were teens and ofc there was shady moments but they grown from it.
Since 8 years old they were babies growing up together now everyone who is a destiny’s child fan such as myself wants a Destiny’s child reunion with all 5 members
I still love Destiny’s Child and supported all of their solo efforts. But I believe Bey, Michelle, and Kelly owe LeToya and LaTavia the opportunity to join them for a reunion tour. They deserve their flowers.
There's no REUNION TOUR... Why would BEYONCÉ stop her career for a silly reunion when.she can tour by herself and sell out stadiums? Lmao......its been 22 years and you all need to move on cause those girls have moved on with their lives and have families
That won’t happen for a 1 goof reason. 1.) Matthew still owns all the rights to destiny’s child and their music and I doubt any of them including his own daughter want to work with him again.
Funny how the original members and Wendy Williams repeatedly said that Matthew was playing favorites, setting Beyonce up to be a solo star and Beyonce kept denying this but that's EXACTLY what happened!
I think we’re all grown enough to understand that Beyoncé was always meant to go solo. That she received priority treatment. Kelly and anyone else was just there for the ride. So I’m sure this intentional choice didn’t stay hidden well, and it was obvious to other group members. They had success, but I don’t believe it was achieved ethically.
They weren't even a real group. Anyone with eyes could see that it was Beyonce and the girls. Latavia and Latoya were called problematic for having a backbone and not allowing Matthew to step all over them. With her dad as manager and her mom as designer the favoritism was always there. A group should showcase the talents of every person in it. TLC was a girl group. They had their problems too but everyone had their thing that made them special/standout.
@@atv21 Latavia and Letoya were fans favorite even in Belgium; my cousins and I preferred this two over Beyoncé. One of my cousin went to see destiny’s’ child first concert in Europe in 90s, when she met them she said Latavia, Latoya and Kelly were approachable and friendly, but Beyoncé other the hand was very guarded and barely spoke to her, basically she ignored her.
@Anastasia's Secret she was more talented than aaliayh. Beyonce liked to be with her friends but latavia and letoya were not smart . They should not sue mathew .of course Beyonce will chose mathew side. Letoya and latavia forget that Beyonce was the talent . They could not make it without her
I'mma need Matthew to stop this bs about JE. The problem wasn't their age, it was their tax bracket! 1 yr later he had NO PROBLEM selling off his daughter to JayZ, who's 12 years her senior!!
@@JSHester16 Matthew hates Jay-Z to this day. Y'all don't even know WTF you're talking about lol 🤣. Matthew was not cool about his daughter dating a "drug dealer" or former drug dealer and a rapper. He does NOT F with Ms Carter like that
@@zikkreal oh please lol. Letoya had successful solo singles, acted (reoccurring roles) on popular shows, starred in tv movies and starred on a hit reality show. I love ALL of DC, so don’t try to play Letoya honey….AND EVERYONE knows net worths online are very inaccurate!
I found it interesting Beyoncé was allowed to be sick and sad and depressed for weeks after the group split…but a group member being overwhelmed and missing shows bc she wasn’t well got her fired….i also find it interesting that Beyoncé has so much emotion about her friends and their relationship and sad the group ended but it also seems she has no interest putting the original group back together….abs went on interviews talking smack about them…not saying anything is her fault she was a child when this went down and she has always had someone else in control of her career but it’s just interesting listening to her.
“After the group split” … well duh. It was after the group split. Farrah was only in the group a couple of months and missed a majoritynof shows. You can do that at ANY job. And Kelly also has no interest in gettin the group back together. Even said if she had a daughter she would advise her not to get into a girl group. Beyonce literally includes DC3 in EVERY big opportunity she got (Coachella, Super Bowl, etc.) so your “I found it interesting” bs is just that… bs .
This just goes to show it didn’t matter who was in the group as long as Beyoncé was there. Kelly lucky she was on Matthew’s good side. I totally forgot how much Beyoncé use to talk lol
Kelly was just a follower and didn’t want to get put out of the house. Can’t be two light girl, so Farrah had to go, it was a different time back then.
Farrah seemed like a hot mess form get-go: All that talk about being sick … Farrah whined and complained instead of sucking it up and performing. She didn’t play her position, didn’t stay in her lane - it was foolish of her, seeing as she was picked to join an already-successful group. And I highly doubt her firing had *anything* to do w skin color: Beyoncé’s dad selected Farrah out of a bunch of extras from a video: he as fine w her being “light skinned”, but Farrah couldn’t get right and messed up her chance for a superstar career.
I’m starting to believe the past drama and press Beyoncé had said is most likely the main reason why Beyoncé doesn’t respond or rarely grant interviews.
I was thinking this! Beyoncé definitely comes off kind of catty and passive aggressive in these past interviews. That is probably why she is so private nowadays. She has a “good girl” image to uphold and just puts all her emotions in her music.
@@yageshabazz3456 Not at all you just aren’t smart enough to fathom the fact that when you are indeed young you will say and do things that are questionable and not always the right way.
I love love Beyoncé but her father was honestly the downfall of Destiny’s Child. And I believe Farrah. And I think he felt some type of way that Letoya was about to be a star. And she honestly had the 2nd best voice. Her solo albums alone shows proof.
This video really reminded me that in the 90s and early 2000s talent & a persistent manager was really the most important thing. Beautiful brown skinned/dark skinned Black girls with broad noses really ascended to stardom! Currently managers don’t care about talent if you’re biracial/light skinned/ethnically ambiguous. I don’t even think a record label would form a girls group like the original DC4 today. Their original female manager was really a visionary!!
This is the best documentary I’ve seen on Destiny’s Child. It’s super informative. It’s as good as the “Behind the Music” series that used to air on VH1.
I love that the original DC4 are all still cool and even Michelle is friends with LaToya. Destiny’s Child was so influential whether as a 3piece of a 4piece. I will say i believe Michelle doesn’t get the credit she deserves for literally reinventing DC. She became the queen of bridges on their songs. And honestly I don’t know where they’d be without her bc they became vocally stronger when she entered the group
It's unfortunate that LeToya and LeTavia didn't get a chance to shine in the original group. Kelly didn't either but she didn't seem to care.LeToya has a really nice voice and I'm glad that she's doing well 😊
Latavia shined on The Writings on the wall album the song sweet 16 she sang lead. Kelly shined on The Survivor that whole album Kelly mostly sang lead and had the best parts. noticeably on their biggest song of that album Bootylicious. The only person who didn't get their full shine was LaToya but she got to shine with her song Torn. That is an R&B classic and went number 1 on billboard and had success overseas.
Kelly cared she just didn’t show her true emotions. She wrote a song on her album explaining how she was jealous of Beyoncé success. If you read between the lines and catch the message it wasn’t about Beyoncé at all but more of how Kelly viewed herself at that time and she had low self esteem because she was in a controlling relationship with a guy who constantly told her Beyoncé didn’t care about her or don’t love her and he was the only person that loves her. He didn’t allow Kelly to be around Beyoncé he would say things to separate them. Remember Destiny’s Child song “GIRL”? And in the video Beyoncé was expressing how she loves Kelly and adore their friendship Kelly was crying. Kelly wrote on her Instagram and said that scene was real … those was real tears. Kelly never had a issue with Matthew or Beyoncé Kelly was fighting her inner self.
@@kuroe-chan5190 Michelle had a successful run in gospel music. Her first gospel album was the best-selling gospel album of 2002. Her last album, Journey to Freedom was successful. Her song "Say Yes" with Beyonce and Kelly was number-one on Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart for seven weeks. Michelle also had success on the dance charts with "We Break the Dawn". She has been successful on Broadway/theater. She has been in several productions. She is an author now. She has shifted her focus to being an advocate for mental health. I love her Checking In podcast.
yall cant tell me these weren’t mean girls. 33:52 : girl in the back dismisses how farrah was feeling saying , “she gon make it” with an annoyed face. 34:02 : mispronouncing farrahs name and talking abt her as if to mock her and be funny, like she’s holding back smiles. 34:40 : just being really petty trying to get farrah to leave ??? this whole situation was just messy as hell and the story changed with every interview. really shows all of their characters ..
You know these are the stories their publicist tell them to say in front of cameras. It's not them! Every celebrity has to do it. It isn't an attest to their characters.
Tina and Matthew were definitely in Beyoncé’s ear telling her that the other girls were just jealous of her talent. I know that, in adulthood, Bey has reconciled with some of the original girls from the group. But I wonder when she realized that she was in the wrong. I imagine distancing herself from her father made her do a lot of retrospective thinking.
letoya still sings and has hits and is sucessful. letoya and latavia were wronged by matthew knowles! I believe matthew put the other girls down and beyonce realized this later in her 20's
I remember every single one of these performances, articles, and interviews! I see why Beyonce doesn't do interviews now. It's been a looooong journey. I still believe in the original 4 and would love to see them reunite for a legacy performance.
Your channel is a golden gem. I love how you do your research and give commentary without bias…i was not a huge destiny’s child fan..but their music did have an impact on the early late 90s 00s culture. Especially after the passing of all Aaliyah.
I swear to God this is the best channel on RU-vid. I tell all my friends about it. I bought your products from your shop (and I love them btw). I do all I can to support because your content is hands down the best 🙌 keep up the great work!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
To be fair, if Latoya and LeTavia felt like they weren’t getting their due time/money then they’re allowed to want a manager if they feel their current one is not doing right by them. Nepotism was bound to happen when the people managing the group is the one related to the lead singer
Great video! Me, my sister and cousins were huge Destiny’s Child fans. I’m so old lol I remember so many of these interviews and watched it play out it in real time. But it’s different watching them as adult, I definitely have a better understanding for what happened between them.
however way you spin it, ALL THIS was for Beyonce to go solo and enter into superstardom. Her whole family was staff and facilitating behind the scenes. There was absolute favoritism for Beyonce, she did sing and dance lead for almost all the songs. From other sources, Mathew Knowles wanted guardianship over the other girls and they weren't having it. Also, didn't LaTavia write the song, Say My Name? Part of the lawsuit was vocals being replaced with Michelle and Farah. If LaTavia and LaToya didn't speak, would we have heard Kelly and Michelle's vocals? 42:03 If there was real love, why not mediate? And then later on, why not extend a hand to help? Beyonce left everyone in the dust, including Kelly who idolized her.
When you look back even things like Matthew Knowles asking Michelle Williams to not use her first name. Feels like aim was for Beyonce to always stand out.
Your channel is by far my favorite so it really irritates me when I somehow get unsubscribed or I don't get your notifications!! Idk what's going on with RU-vid but I always check every week to see if you have uploaded!! LOVE YOUR CHANNEL AND EVERYTHING YOU DO ❤ 💕 ♥
Like someone said on the comments, I prefer DC3 than DC4 myself because every member got a chance to sing their part and had a solo song on two albums except Michelle but I do count Through With Love as her song. Had more harmonies than the first two albums, I’m just saying. Destiny Fulfilled remains my favorite album but Survivor hits different too.
That is false. Actually, DC, the group, sang less after the breakup. Michelle got about a few seconds of solo time, but was often missing from the harmony. Once Beyonce became the producer, she would just record her voice 3x.
I've seen many people do deep dives on Destiny's Child. This is the best one I've seen. You did your research, I love how you went into detail on each member. Very good job!!! Thanks so much. I think all of these ladies are amazing in their own way 😍 💕
Excellent deep dive!! I’ve watched a tone of pop culture videos, seen and heard most of what’s out there but this was a great deep dive and showcase some new stories and details. Love your videos! Thank you and keep em coming!! 🤍🌹
I always wondered why Beyonce never invited LeToya or Latavia to be on stage during their reunions? Looking at this video and seeing how she was so emotional and she was expressing how much she missed them, why didnt she invite them to join her on tour when she would do a Destiny's Child reunion? Or when she performed at the Superbowl? I understand they really blew up when they became a trio, but they still had hits when it was DC4. Most importantly, LeToya and Latavia are the cofounders of the group and I think all DC fans who love to see all 5 ladies on stage. I am not a big DC fan, but I would love to see Beyonce, Kelly, LeToya, Latavia and Michelle perform together.
They tried to ruin Bey career. Once they got kicked out of the group contractually LeToya and Latavia are never allowed to do anything with destiny child.
As it should have been. If Latoya or Latavia were that talented their solo careers would have been successful….y’all hype them up but don’t buy their music
I don't think people get...the only reason why Kelly really became second lead is because Matthew had guardianship. It came down to money. Matthew could not get guardianship of the other two to control the money, so they had to go! With Kelly, he could request guardianship and she'd have a chance at a better life with the Knowles. Her family situation was different and they claim her mom was struggling. She didn't necessarily have a better voice than latavia nor LaToya to sing second lead. It was about the money
It was obvious that it was clear cut favoritism for Beyoncé and Kelly , it’s no reason why the original two members couldn’t have they own separate manager lol like it makes no sense , on a nba team all the players have different managers
Not me going on the deep dive at midnight like I don’t need to get up early tomorrow 😭 Edit: This was so good! Excellent reporting and unbiased presentation of available facts

I think the interviews Beyoncé did about members who split from the group is the reason why I can’t fully be a fan of hers. Even though her dad played a major role she definitely backed him in the media with her commentary. It’s unfortunate because she grew up w LaTavia and they were friends first.
@@paolar3177 nobody’s holding that against her😭I’m just saying she could admit she was wrong. Apologies are still nice no matter when it happened , maybe I’m just different though
I think Farrah’s allegations about Matthew’s advancement is more than plausible especially considering it seemed like he hand-selected her based on looks. I commend Beyoncé’s growth in terms of keeping scandals private now. She was very shady in past interviews (makes sense because she was young). Nowadays, she just puts it in the music and let’s people speculate the rest.
@@notyourfrind9415 Well then maybe y’all should stop spinning racist sexist narratives towards Black Women in the media. Not everything needs to be reported either.
I appreciate all the videos that you make on your channels it actually take back into the 90's era where I grew up around those years and by it's being so beautiful around those times I love hearing your voice every time I tune in to your channels and I will be hitting the like button even more much love to you keep up the good work.
The accusation that Latvia and Latoya made were true. There definitely was favoritism in the group for Beyonce and even Kelly. I mean if you listen to earlier DC tracks the only voice you hear is Beyonces. Kelly got a little bit of solo time as well. Also in their liver performances its always Beyonce at the front and the rest dancing backup. Like what was the point of them being in the group if you couldn't even hear them on the track. I mean most groups give each person their own verse to shine but Beyonce sang every verse! They never got their time to shine in the studio or stage. And as far as Farrah, I don't think she was distant. I think the girls didn't open up to her and invite her in. If you look at old interviews you can see the girls side eyeing her everytime she speaks and Michelle was always being shady towards her. The reason why she missed practice is because she was sick with the flu and in the hospital. Matthew wanted her to be with the group that he made her leave the hospital against doctors orders. He did the same thing to Latavia!
