Me too,. I'm 70. benn watching Lions for. 64 years. I did give up on them for one year. I stopped watching 3years ago when they traded Stafford. That was great for both as we got a quarter back that is far better than l was aware of in Goff . This new coach is a prize. I still have to see them win a couple playoff games. But the Lions ,,on National TV 3 times already, unbelievable. Go Lions

With the rams he did QB for the 17th highest scoring regular season team in points per game in the history of the nfl, so its not like hes bad. People just got swept up in the narrative that he was the problem in LA because of how they won the Superbowl right after trading their future to swap him with stafford. He has great talent with 1 major flaw, he falls apart when his o-line fails to block. His o-line got hurt in the championship game when he made the superbowl, and he got flustered. First year in Detroit his projected starting o-line never played a single snap together, Decker comes back and they go from 0-10 to 500 to end their season. Goff is SOOOOO bad under pressure its not funny. But in the pocket with talent around him and time to throw I think he's as good as any other QB in the league (except mahomes). Pff's advanced passing statistics back this up. He's 2nd in the league in passer rating on plays with no defensive pressure and 26th in passer rating under pressure.. He goes from throwing on par with hurts and mahomes to being on par with davis fucking mills.

@@just2lazy2name Yes and with the lions Oline at full strength Jared Goff should be able to preform good. Without injury to a guy like Frank Ragnow or decker. I could see the lions making it to the NFC championship game with a great coach like Dan Campbell who is getting everything out of his guys but I do not think that they can get out of the NFC championship game to just because of teams like the 49ers, eagles or even the cowboys who are looking very good this year.

Except he was the most blitzed QB last season and was very good against it. Also, you saw Pat Mahomes struggle in the Super Bowl against Tampa when his oline didn’t play well. It’s almost like good oline play is important.

Also, it’s silly to blame a quarterback for bad oline play and he doesn’t bail them out by making some miraculous play. When oline aren’t aren’t good in the run game, people don’t blame the running back..

I know thats right. Ive been thru the Andre Ware era, the Dave Kreig era, the Scott Mitchell era, the Charlie Batch era, loved Stafford and always will that guys a warrior. However, now is the Goff era, and im loving every single minute of it. Its great to finally be excited on Sundays during football season. Lets keep it going we have to go to Baltimore and deal with Lamar Jackson next, very winnable game. LETS GO LIONS 🦁 👏 💪

Fr me too. I remember always watching Megatron and the lions play on thanksgiving and I’ve always slightly rooted for them even tho I’m a chiefs fan. It seems like they actually have some traction now especially with a good HC running things.

They definitely looked improved on that side of the ball, they'll be contenders out the NFC North....unless J-Love turns out to another HOF Packers QB
