The Developers were too Late Fixing this Bug (No Key Challenge) - Phasmophobia 

They fixed this bug within 24 hours after I showed it LOL. They made it almost impossible to get into the house without a key now. So this may very well be the last no key challenge I'll EVER do. So I hope you enjoy the crazy ride!

Sometimes on Edgefield when I have my Valve Index on, I just spawn in the garage. And it's terrifying because it doesn't even give you a chance to grab a flashlight lol!

The devs should make a ghost model in dedication to Insym (end some🤗). He has put such a huge spotlight on this game, and he loves it so much. They could just put his striped sweater on a ghost during Christmas or something. Something small. A tip of the hat

I think the first no key challenge was my favorite. Totally unexpected, just randomly getting evidence through the garage door on Tanglewood. So good. I love these fun little bug reports

When I played on Edgefield in VR with my friends, my one friend spawned inside the house every game. He was the only one that did and it happened every time we went on Edgefield.

I just imagine Dk, CJ, Lavender or Skinner coming into the stream seeing the title and being like "oh no, what is this?". And then coming into the stream seeing this: 46:00

To offer a possible answer to the question of why the ghost activates when the door is open; I think it has something to do with forcing people to go into the house before any kind of evidence can be found. If the ghost was interacting with the space before you go in, it would be easy to just wait a while and then go in and find the room with items all messed up. It would also allow someone to sit in the truck and see the activity chart before ever setting foot in the house.

Scientists say, they will try to keep a true A.I. in a sandbox from which it can't escape, but if I see how people find bugs like this or write malware, that can escape virtual machines, I doubt that we will ever be able to keep a truly sentient A.I. in a box. RIP humanity 😅

I recently was unable to play Phasmo due to a Unity bug, but thankfully uninstalling and reinstalling (even though it took ages to do thanks slow internet) fixed the issue, similar to how TABS and TABZ crashed for me. Anyway. Edgefield is a very messed up map. The infamous thousands of polygons the boy's bed used to have, the floor layout being a spiral, the boy's and master bedroom being close together caused the ghost to wander a lot, the bug with the Music Box activating cursed hunts on different floors, the deathtrap that was the basement, the glowing doors if you shined a UV on them (patched out sadly), before a certain update if you used a Spirit Box or placed Writing Books or Cams in the Garage door outside you could get Orbs, Responses, and Writing, and my personal favorite. If you have a Demon (or Banshee in the old version) in the garage riiiiiiight against the garage door and your crucifixes were in the truck and you didn't pick them up, the ghost could destroy your crucifixes in your truck if it tried hunting. I believe it still does this to this day. Plenty of bad memories on this map with certain ghosts. For example, my very first Demon ever was in the Edgefield foyer who was a grandma eventing as soon as I opened the door. A few months later I had a scary encounter with a terrifying pajama girl Oni in the garage who kept breaking the breaker and snarling in my face. Around 8 months ago had a kitchen scarred lady Yurei who would not stop using her drain powers. And most recently a Wraith teleported to me as I drew a Death card at the start of a mission while I hid in a closet upstairs killing me instantly.

If you pull out all of the drawers on the three drawer stand in the street houses and crouch inside of the drawers, the ghost can't kill you at all.

After your stream I ran to do that trick in front of my friends, by teleporting into the house from the truck without any key. So they just left me in the closed house 😂😂 Apparently, will have to share the house with the ghost now.. I wonder if any new updates will create another bug of this kind, it's one of the funniest exploits there is ,D

Most people would be unhappy and upset they patched it, but i would be so excited because it means they watch your videos/streams!

It surprises me that they still have yet to just add a failsafe incase the player gets into the house without a key. Like seriously it's way better to just add an additional trigger and leave the glitch in unless it causes other problems. But still having a trigger to that periodically checks if player is in area 'house' or just have additional trigger areas for moving to different rooms in the house....

in VR, if you dont pick up the key, you can sprint at the door handle and try to open it at the same time you collide with it, glitching you inside.

So likely the Moroi speed ability is likely tied into checking player sanity every so often during the game though because time is essentially frozen it did not do so. The only other theory I have is moroi and thaye may set themselves to a specific speed and the speed changes they have is tied to scripts that do not run till the door is opened. I really wonder how thaye would have worked like this does it choose the low speed and scale up to high or does it start high and just scale down. I love these glitches because it shows us some weird things about how its all set to work.

found out that you can jump slighlty with motion sensors by while crouching looking straight down, a tiny bit upwards, maybe like 3-6 degrees and then throwing and uncrouching (when done right the motion sensor kinda just stays stuck midair for a while)

I think adding legitimate portals in a new map would be a nice small mechanic added to the game

I think that's the "teleport portal" the devs used to quickly teleport to the house

ghost cant insta hunt if you leave through the door, the game has a grace period by default, where even at 0% sanity there needs to be a minimum time needed after opening the door to start hunting, this is the setup time, i dont remember how long it lasts (probably the between hunt cooldown) or if theres a custom option for it, but yeah, you will always be able to safely leave as the ghost cant hunt immediately

I believe you could do this with 0 seconds investigating if you were playing in VR, because you can glitch inside and out of the house by running into certain corners and windows without ever opening the door.

My guess is that the game considers you out of bounds and teleports you back in the map, but the port location (maybe a default coordinate?) is in the house.

Dang, I should have done this when i was playing this morning. xD Although I did have a funny thing happen, ended up getting on Tanglewood for my last solo game. I made the Tarot Cards spawn, wanted to see how fast I could die. First card pulled was Death, and I died to a Spirit. XD It was so funny. lol

theres going to come a day where the devs just do a key check upon entering the building, no key = death : P

They might as well make it impossible to open the truck back if you haven't collected the key.

Did this only work with edge field or did it work on other maps. Because if it works on other maps, theoretically you could do the apocalypse no key challenge.

Would be fun if they made it so if you see the mirror through the mirror it instantly hunts.

Honestly, I just want to know the reasoning behind this one. Sound sensor model goes *just* enough outside of map boundary and warps back to house, similar to tossing items over?

I think the no key challenge should be customized as a difficulty, to make players figuring out ways to enter the house.

i thought the mirror does still drain sanity on no key challenge? i distinctly remember cj calling you dumb when he told you the truck doesn't update until the door is unlocked LOL tho idk if i'm misremembering that but clearly you shown it doesn't do shit now if you look into it

I can bet you it's probably still possible in vr,as vr always has more bugs than desktop.

if they made it so the ghost activates when you open the tuck door then the sanity would start draining then.

is there anywhere official to report a bug to where the devs will see it? i wish there was a button for it in-game, because i found a pretty major one thats been screwing over my games lately
