Same! I'm 24 and everyone thinks I'm 16 based on my appearance. I've been compared to a doll multiple times. It's been entertaining to figure out my essence. Have you figured out your colour season?
I relate to that. It's a blessing and a curse. I work in education so it can be an issue... Sometimes they think I'm one of the teens. At work, even if it's not in my essence blend, I try to incorporate classic pieces in my outfits to "look more adult" and avoid too much confusion.
ohh, so that exists? I believe Im romantic, but my face just doesn't look really romantic since my features are very round and innocent, I'm also 30 and people mistake me for a teenager. I didn't know Romantic Ingenue exists.
Wonderful explanation however important to remember that these are largely labels. The concept of the ingenue extends beyond body type into a meaning of innocence and unsophistication, vs gamine which is boyish in character. Ingenue leans more feminine. So kind of girly girl vs tomboy. However both of these definitions completely exclude the fact that humans beyond their physical characteristics extend into a wide array of personality traits and both are beautiful.
I have elements of both. I generally wear a lot of southwestern style clothing because of my heritage, and ethnicity seems to influence my lean towards ingenue because I look better with long black hair. Something is "off" if I try an entire tomboy look, but I look foolish if it's too dolly with frills. Adding natural elements to the ingenue balances me out. The Mexican maiden or Amerindian princess are my archetypes. Southwestern farmcore coquette is my personal aesthetic.
Wow love seeing this perspective , im used to only seeing these types in comparison to white women (The Kibb Chart) but this was very informative considering I always thought of myself as a gamine when I actually have more ingénue resemblance
If you cant find something that fits you you can just take the top 3 styles or essences and find a blend. I for an example have some kind of natural/romantic/ingenue or ethereal thing going on. I try to bring a bit of everything in their. And that seems to work for me. Like i have flowy light weight black pants, a crop top with puff sleeves also black, then very delicate earrings and chain like moon themed, my hair i keep wavy instead of my natural straight hair, ikeep make up natural besides a redish lipstick. That seems to work for me. Idk my exacty kibbe and kitchener. I could be wrong with mine but a mix works best for me🙈 hope that makes sense
this app once told me i had gamine body type but im more ingenue like half of the clothes they suggested me to wear which was gamine look horrible on me ahaha !!
@@Nana-dw7wimmm I dont think so , ingenue are like small romantics and gamine are small dramatic , are the "kid versions " of them like ingenue are small and round gamine are small and sharp.
soft gamines are not small and sharp though, they have more curves to them and tend to gravitate towards ingenue. gamines in general though yeah, they are small and sharp but look at soft gamines, they tend to be more curvy especially on the bottom half@@YumeraChauque
You could be a soft gamine as they tend to be less angular. It’s important to point out that some individuals can find themselves in between types others even change Kibbe types as they age.
I know how to pronounce it the right way since it is a French word and French is my first language but have to make video understandable for a large audience
Ethereal has more elongated face. Also the eyes seem longer slanted and upturned. I always think of ethereal as lightweight and other worldly. Rihanna gives off ethereal in certain fashions
I'm 5"4, 110 lbs. 21" waist, 32 dd breast, curvy hips, my hips, and shoulders line up, my waist is tiny, bubble butt/round, skinny legs, gap/ thighs don't touch, hourglass physique. And I don't have either face here. So????........ help please. Subscribed 😢❤
Usually based on your lifestyle you would pick one essence and stick to it. In your daily life what part of you do people see the most ? It would be different for a journalist and a runway model.
