Installed tein street basis on my sister celica(stock height) because it's much cheaper then buying a stock (4)shocks, 2yrs later the ride still feels comfortable 👍🏽
Just wanted to add that when using the Flex A/Z , you can also use the Tein EDFC system . I run the Flex series on my TSX and I highly recommend the EDFC for ease of adjustability with dampening
3:10 this is a touchdown without oscillation. Myself using streetflex'es on my accord, and they behave perfectly, have them almost 7 years on car. Respect to TEIN!
I have Tein Street Basis Z coilovers on my 2010 Subaru Impreza. I installed them with a friend about two years ago from this moment. They still perform super well for only taking $430 out of my wallet. They aren't rusty, don't ride any differently than when first installed and they're actually really tolerable. They will wake your car up and feel planted. Another huge plus, they're actually comfortable enough non car people don't have an issue riding along in the car. Only downside is I didn't buy the Teins that have adjustable top hats for camber. Great product, probably the BEST modification I've done yet.
How has it been with using the oem tophats? That's the only thing kinda putting me off about tein's entry level coilovers. With my car being FWD, I was thinking of going with some CC bolts up front and camber arms in the rear. If not, godspeed's mono rs/ss have my interest that include adjustable tophats, but those are a mono tube design and I'm not sure of their quality. Any advice? Was getting ur camber within reason easy?
Matthew McLean The tophats were too big of a deal. Just be safe when removing them from your OEM struts. As for camber, I bought camber bolts for up front and am on the way to buying rear lower control arms. I've been in a Subaru Outback with godspeed coilovers and the ride was honestly too stiff for daily driving. It was most likely how he had it set up but personally, our opinion was Tein > GodSpeed. Tein just felt more perfected out of the box.
You should do a comparison between the most affordable suspension and their reputation/reliability/long-term quality. And the ones that offer value for the money.
This is partly why FI is so good "Hey this thing on my car is a bit of a right pickle to figure out, why not make a video of it" Helping people out instead of going how dare you pollute with your cars even tho we sell car stuff like Gillette would 😂😂
@@maxxas5067 I've seen a lot of people run racelands and getting rid of them after a year because they blown up. The fact that lots of people use something, doesn't make that thing any good.
Hell yeah! That is awesome to hear you found our video helpful! We would love to see some pictures of your ride on those coilovers sometime! bit.ly/2obqAZQ
I just bought tein flex Z for my 99 honda prelude first time havent put it in yet but soon,10 years ago I ran tein super street on same car and they work perfect but they no long sell super street,I heard to made it into tein flex z so that's why I went with the tein flex Z plus DEFC
been pleasantly surprised by all tein products. the cheap tein street basis for 350z are comfortable and plenty firm for street. Really love the setup. You must stay within the recommended ride height as described in the instructions.
I know you guys focus mostly on coilovers, but what about their spring line? Lots of folks don't know what S. Tech and H. Tech mean and the difference.
Yeah! Godspeed or raceland! Why are raceland’s so cheap? Are they made with cheap parts? Are they worth it for the most expensive pair (which I think is $600) please make a video or let me know what you know. Please and thank you!
I'm currently rocking a set of Tein S Tech Lowering Springs, on my 2010 Corolla, but I'm switching to BC Racing Coilovers Extreme drop, when winter is finally over, because my OEM Struts are bad right now, and I don't want to replace them. I rather get Coilovers and be lower to the ground plus I can adjust the Ride height down to a 2.8 inch 1/2 Drop at the Front and a 2.5 inch 1/2 Drop at the Rear
alan connelly Basically just now I hit some snow that was plowed at the side of the road and it started making a loud noise I thought I broke something but I pulled over got out to check and seen snow between my wheel well and tire
I have the Megan Racing Ez street 2 and for the price I paid and after a year n a half they still feel new.. With them on I drove cross country 3 x through heavy rain and snow and no problems.. Drove really hard on windy country Pennsylvania roads and they handle like a track car.. I like them 😀 Just don't see to many videos about them.
I've been waiting for so long to hear someone describe a set of coilovers the way you described the Flex A, thank you lol I know what set I'm getting B)
Hussam Mustafa to be completely honest idk cause I was going to buy from them but a local offer came up for some so I didn’t end up buying from them lol
@@AlmightyyKevv I just dont know how I feel about putting $450 coilovers on a newer car, i owned an 02 jetta before this and kinda wanna keep it nice you know?
Tell us about all of the sets! I am loving it! What's best for hauling lots of gear and big hits on gravel roads. Trying to build several rally style toyota cars right now that extra spare tires and tools are hauled with.
I have a 2015 Chrysler 300S. I'm debating whether I should get coilovers or just replace the entire suspension with the Eibach Sport System. I'm not gonna track a 300. I just want to lower it without messing up the ride. Opinions?
@@renameduser5279 I haven't changed it yet. I have the Eibach Springs sitting in my closet. I just got my new wheels and tires in last week and I haven't even put those on yet. I think I'm just gonna slap the springs, wheels and tires on all at the same time. Then I gotta get an alignment again. I'll see how the springs look and feel if I don't like them I'm gonna get either the Eibach Sportline System or a set of coilovers.
I run the Flex A with edfc. Running all those wires was a pain in the ass. But the end product is so amazing. Adjusting the damping on the fly between smooth and bumpy roads with the 10 different damping pre setups is just so convenient.
I have the edfc active pro. It wasnt hard to install at all. i also opted in for the gps setup. mine system adjusts itself depending on speed and g rating. freaking amazing
Did you guys seen the test when the put a glass of champagne on top of a 100kg weight and dropped on a Tein coilover? Amazing I could not belive what I saw, the spring took all the force of the impact and the glass on top didn't even move😰
For my daily driver obviously I want it to be comfortable but I do plan on lowering a little and driving hard sometimes. Should I go with the flex A or flex Z? I have to drive on some bad roads too, I don't want to bounce all over rhe place.
@@HmoobXyooj55 I know a chinaman that was named tein and his name was tee in. so for me personally it's always going to be tein. also please research what your getting I run autocross and tain doesn't backup numbers on the track or dyno. farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets18.html
Check out some of the coil overs that are available for your ride here! Otherwise you can shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you! bit.ly/2FUPmY2
I've just read that you should not adjust Tein Flexs softer than the middle adjustment (8 of 16 clicks for example), or it would cause damage to the coilovers. Can you confirm such statement?
Looking for reviews on their pricier products, circuit master super racing for example. Would suck if I dump $3K on a coilover and some sub $2K coilover outperforms.
Syawal my dad had edfc on his 05 legacy wagon. It was great! He would always adjust suspension (stiffened) when going high speed or going through turns and would make suspension soft for regular drive.
Guilty. I inquired about tein before you guys offered them. Order online got not exactly what I wanted but I'm cool with the ride just not low enough in rear
There sufficient for now. Almost have suspension dialed in. Solid control, camber, toe arms around. I'll probably swap when I get past other upgrades so I'm not going back and never forward
im using flex zs on my rx8 and i love them but sometimes its making a bang on the back coilovers at bigger bumps or slightly higher load - i know u stated that A is more for comfort but usually i dont ride with passengers and still getting the coilover hitting the limiter and i was wondering if increasing the preload would help reducing or removing it - id prefer to ask before i try it on my own since its winter here and i cant check it on the road
What happened to the Flex Mono? I have the old Flex's and I'm not sure if I should try and get the rebuilt or go for Z's, or even look somewhere completely different.
Those would be BC Forged wheels check out the rides complete specs here! www.fitmentindustries.com/wheel-offset-gallery/432841/2012-lamborghini-aventador-bc-forged-hc053s-stock-stock
this is a very informative vid, sorry I did not see this before I bought the enduro pro plus for my wrx sti, now I think they are mashed up just over 2 years of being in use😞😞
