I love both the Distillers albums it was very difficult for a female lead on vocals too have success in a punk rock band.Brodies vocals were up there with some of the best punk vocals of all time if ya ask me,gotta give credit where credits due.
a few notes : exene is a well known band member of the legendary cow punk band X anyone in the punk community esp then and not very well known musicians would die to be in her band and its a total honor. also the one singing in girl fixer is kim - the one singing in the beginning of hate me is rose who currently has her own little band going now prettylittleshindig
Rancid is my favorite band so I'm a little biased admittedly ( I also love the Distillers as well) but to my knowledge, the reason Tim was so angry and vengeful about their split and acted kinda childish was bc she had cheated on him with ol buddy from QOTSA. Now I have no way to confirm that obviously but I thought I'd get your feedback and see if you knew some things I didn't. Keep up the great content ✌
@@ScoopedMids cheating is abuse as abuse is cheating I think...Its pretty much confirmed she was having an affair..according to Tim and Brody both he found out that she was seeing homes in a rolling stones article interview..Brody pretty much said she was with homes and done with Tim..I believe every word she says about the control and the abuse..I think there was a reason she was turning to dope during that marriage, which probably made Tim more controlling.. Anyway I always thought there was a reason she chose someone who was not afraid of Tim when she finally left him. I listened to an interview with her years ago and she said she felt with Josh and she felt like Tim couldn't hurt her anymore..really sad for her to feel that afraid..I guess tim had put out some threats from his boys who idolized Tim and she was actually afraid.
@Leeanna Sloan Look what's happening now though with the QOTSA guy. Seems to me that she is the problem. Not that the husband's are innocent by any means but she always seemed a bit unstable. Which is probably why she's a great artist. The best ones are all crazy.
I went to see the original Misfits for their Halloween show and the distillers were supposed to open for them and alice Cooper but they dropped out at the last second and FEAR played in their place. I'm was so pissed! I like Fear but I wanted to see them soooo bad!
Well, I used to do work on a channel the "DownFall NetWork" for over a year with a bunch of friends and former friends of mine, in fact this video was originally supposed to be uploaded to that channel. I quit that channel after having personal problems with the guy who owns the channel, and I took a little over a year off from RU-vid due to not having a computer that I can edit on to the best of my ability. I came back a couple of months ago and the hard work seems to be paying off for me. Thank you for your kind words.

What?! Hole doesn’t have bite?? Have you listened to Pretty on the Inside or Live Through This? Basically anything before Celebrity Skin... They are full of bite. You’re missing out.
What I like about the ‘90s Hole albums is that they’re all different. Pretty On The Inside is their most abrasive/with teeth album, Live Through This has the balance of teeth and slick/clean production and Celebrity Skin has the slick and poppy sound. They all sound different
It did, but after an appeal it was approved for monetisation. Also, this video showcases much longer song samples then you can get away with nowadays without a claim.
The first 2 albums killed it...when Coral Fang came out, it was kinda disappointing. I saw them play in Berlin and they were kinda dull, but hearing it here, its...not horrible. Maybe ill give it another listen. Maybe Ive become a bit dull myself
I have and it looks interesting. It's unlikely I'll buy it since I liked the way the album originally sounded like warts and all. But, I'll still probably listen to it on spotify when it drops.

Loved this! Been a fan of both Brody and Tim’s bands. She definitely used Tim to advance her career and move on to another man once there. Can’t deny she has talent and her songs are great. Tim on the other hand loved the woman, not only as a woman but as an artist. He helped her advance and didnt let go easy because it was his project. She said it herself, 30 year old Tim was hot, no denying that either. So I don’t believe he was a groomer. They were a match, punk rock couple of the times.
Funny thing is ... his hate on emo punk bands, there are a lot of guys that find distillers isn’t punk, hahaha, the human hate goes on. How about thinking, the distillers is awesome and helped a lot of people just like all those bands you shat on. Not that I’m a fan of those emo bands, but to many humans on this planet, the distillers is would or would also be called emo in its own way, actually ...come to think of it all bands are emo....cuz songs are always bitching about something no matter what genre or topic. Oof! Whatever . Everyone’s entitled to their ownnnnnn opinion. Just mine

Like Iggy, he put out a LOT of garbage, but when he was on, he was the best.( IMO, of course)
Love the distillers, but she did Tim dirty. Just like she is currently doing to Holme. Fall back down is terrible so I won't defend it but I'm a rancid fan for life.
Homme kicked a photographer in the face for no reason. A guy who does that so nonchalantly, probably has some screws loose. And Tim as a 30 year old man seeked out and dated a teenager. You sure you're batting for the right guys?
@@ScoopedMids I'm not batting for anyone, I just think Tim gets a bad rap for that whole thing. They met when she was 16 right, they didn't get married till years later right? (I hope). The Homme guy I dont know enough about, so I got no skin in that aspect. But from the recent court stuff that's being publicized about it, makes Brody look really bad. Especially the part about the kids.
