I dont think its that people wanted Jacob's Ladder to end the fight but that we wanted it to do more or at least noticeable damage. That giant beam of light was probably the least damaging attack on Sukuna so far, save for maybe Ino's Ryu. Sukuna came out of the Jacob Ladder stronger than when he went in, thanks to his Black Flash.

Personally I was ready for the fight to be over or atleast have Jacob's Ladder set up the killing blow But it doing nothing and then Sukuna proceeding to regain RCT and regain his limbs makes it feel like nothing that happened the past 30 chapters mattered.

for the air hopping point, maybe the cursed energy Sukuna would normally use on his feet to air hop would be dissipated by Jacobs Ladder? Thus forcing him to punch up the debris

@@thatguywithapencil I thought the same thing but when it comes to those two I don’t think Sukuna can demonstrate the same feats as them without using CE. It would take away from Heavenly Restriction being an unattainable amp for sorcerers.

Here is an Idea that I have had that I haven't seen been said: What if this is Yuji's fuga? Sukunas technique is food preparation. What if Yujis shrine is movie editing? What if the cutting symbols are not meant to be literally for scissors, but for editing software and symbolise cutting film. Then in his domain expansion one he has "edited" his opponent he can do some stuff with showing them different scenarios and attack them with those scenarios?

That's also how he trained curse energy control, and when Gojo pointed out he would inherit Sukuna's ct. Interesting theory. Though it's a little lamer than cooking metaphors I think lol. Was Sukuna a cook then before developing his ct? With four arms and an extra mouth to shout orders he had to be Ramsay tier at least. Also was Yuji not in a movie club or whatever at school or am I tripping?

@@Sekooma The gojo training and his affinity for movies is precisely why I thought of this. He was in the paranormal club I think, but I still think that the movie idea makes sense for his character. Sukunas shrine is about cooking because (and it has been stated in outside sources) Sukunas favourite hobby is eating (presumably he's a cannibal as well, so not ordinary tastes lmao). And in the same way that Sukunas shrine manifested based off his favourite thing, yuji (when he's not going through it) loves movies and it makes sense that shrine would manifest like that for him .

@@thatguywithapencil Glad you think so! I mentioned in the other comment that I think this might be the case because Sukunas hobby is eating, and thus his shrine manifested as a "cooking" technique. It could very well be the case that Shrine manifests for a person based off the thing they like doing the most. After gojos training it seems like Yuji became a cinephile , so it makes sense that it would manifest like that for him.

The same could be said about Yuji for the entire series when he always comes up short and has to be carried by plot til it gets snatched at the end. For Sukuna not showing his full potential. He just didn't have enough strong contenders who could take it.

Yeah idk. Assumung he uses CE to air hop it makes sense he cant do it in Jacob's ladder. But maki also air hops. So unless theyre using different methods im not sure why he used the rocks allowing yuji to follow him.

A hot take I don't think him acknowledging Todo is really like earned he just blocks to save a character how does that make him a true jujutsu sorcerer. It's cool moment and yes he has an annoying to deal with curse technique that's it. I think it's an awesome technique but to sukuna I don't think he would glaze it. Probably glazing the use of his binding vow 😂 Yes he did acknowledge the CT effectiveness and annoying him but that's it

The issue more so with Gege repeatedly using the formula of "hype" cliffhanger then very underwhelming resolution at the start of next chapter. We saw just last chapter with Yuta's purple off screened after being used as a "hype" cliffhanger, but at least Sukuna took some noticeable damage compared to Jacob's Ladder. Yuta's purple was less potent than Gojo’s but at least there was damage to show for it. That's more than we can say here with Jacob's Ladder.

Counter argument to 20:15, Hana didn't need to defeat Sukuna she could've separated Sukuna from Megumi and caused Sukuna to incarnate into a cursed spirit. And she would get blitz'd even if cursed spirit Sukuna is slightly weaker.

Not gonna lie I'm so tired of sukuna I quit paying attention to this manga for like 3 months and I come back and we're still doing this. Why did inumakis cursed speech work? That fool is missing an arm. It should have been completely ineffective. No I wouldn't have preferred if Hannah won. I would have preferred if gege busted out the light yagami and L levels of writing and story telling but he just didn't. He pulled out the fuck it I'm just not gonna tell you sh.t level of writing. Fuck it.

Aw, okay. I think Inumaki's CS barely worked because Sukuna was off guard and his throat exploded. The blowback held him for the half a second Gota needed. I like the writing, because I can see why other people don't.
