I can’t thank you enough for these tip videos. The strategies you quickly cover are priceless (like using a shield with ballistic shield ADR mods, using a med kit with Crit Save BEFORE popping your Booster shot…it’s a lot to take in but that’s what she said to the other guy).

after coming back to the game after a long hiatus (stopped after incursions first launched) it's almost self-defeating to even bother with anything DZ related. took a stab at last stand after spending a day or 2 getting my gear score and relative stats up to par (so i thought) i found that all i was useful for was keeping the npc's from roaming through the home base because no combination of weapon and special ability allowed me to last more than a few seconds under fire against other players. with these gear sets and all these new changes, i've spent more time on google and youtube trying to learn stuff than i have actually ingame... this vid is beyond valuable for returning players like me and i appreciate your efforts to make all this stuff understandable.

Thank you for this video. I was using Robust and Sturdy on my PvE Build. Now I can change that, and use something more effective. I feel if Massive were to change these talents to additive, more players might use them in PvP/PvE giving a little more build diversity. Anyway thank you for all you do and see ya later!

Just tried stacking robust and sturdy with mobile cover and damage res mods for mc and went from 31% to 50%. And I haven't even added resist all rolls on my gear!!! Totally different setup from my normal deadeye build!!! Also with less electronics and my Mc health is with in 10000 of what it was with 7.5 Mc health mods. Absolutely the best info!!!! Thank you very much Marco! !!! I can't wait to min max this build now! !!!

what you said is just true .... So many things massive could work on, with a little effort just to make the game MORE versatile.

I enjoy your videos, the best part being you don’t just give a build but explain in detail the reasons to it. I do have a request for a video though, I am a returning player and have a hard time finding information on hard caps, soft caps and diminished return information. It would be fantastic to have one video that compiles this type of information in one area. Thank you

I use shield almost all of the time and I sold all of my shield damage resilience mods a few hours before this video to save stash space :) I want to die :)

another great video, thanks marco. Thought, I tested mitigation when shield up back 1.6 when our team tried lost signal, it was definitely not applied to the shield back then. That's one the big problem with this game... we as players has no knowledge on this kind of stuff... I know this game isn't competitive game like overwatch, LOL. but still... massive should release all this info.

I really hope they change the way buffs and debuffs work. Just the way you say robust, sturdy, and Barrets's would be buffed just from going additive. And make the gun talents the same. No need for the difference in the way everything is calculated. Great video as always Marco.

Great vid as always, however while it was insightful to know 6 piece Final Measure buff is useful albeit when the right grenade falls at your feet. You did not mention the armour mitigating buff ? From Hunters Faith set. While yes many players would discard this set in a heart beat, but some have found some niche builds with this set usually with the Pakhan or lmg to provide the group with that buff constantly depending on range. So I was surprised you did not mention this in the video, unless that needs to be explained entirely in another vid ??

I got my brother to make a solo challenge mode build since he doesn't play with me alot. Ninja, two piece defense and two piece final with a single nomad. It actually turned out to be a lot better than I expected.

MarcoStyle you did a ballistic shield alpha build video a while back (I think it was last November). It would be cool to do a new one with the ninja bag, decisive gloves, 2 three piece set bonuses and the updated knowledge of damage mitigation.

Realy NIce vid Marco! It would be interesteing if you threw in the dmg mitigation from Hunters faith in there. Me and my friends have done some testing and i mitigates about 1% dmg per meter. I know that a lot of people say that it is a bad gearset, but when you can give the whole team about 5-15% dmg mitigation per bullet with a high rpm weapon i think that it is usefull. I know that it is not OP and the numbers may seem small sometime. But if i can make a team member mitigate 1 or 2 more bullets in pvp and in turn take down a other agent. Sure i have to trade bullet for bullet and sure i have to hit the target. But then the 20% range that give me 20m+ full dmg on my MP7 comes in its best use. becuase i think it is easier to land shots if you are not to close

How how how how how...is your Firepower and toughness so high!?!?!? Good vids btw :)

I'm a new to this game but can you explain please why your gear score is so low talking about 256 when you can get gear over the 280's . As this is an older video I take it that the they have had increased the item level cap?

So I was wondering after watching the video that the Rejuvenated mask could be a really useful piece because it gives you 40% all damage mitigations. When you pop a medkit and if you have Critical Save on top of it thats another 20% mitigation that would give you 60% just by pop a medkit in the last segment of health. Thats pretty strong and I never hear anyone running with that mask. Most players use Refresh or Tenacious. I was just thinking am I missing something?

Great video, thanks again. Marco or anyone else: I missed Hunter's Faith 4pc buff in this. Mostly because I never tried a hunter's build. I guess it works as a straight armor increase, so it should be additive. Not sure if there are any tricks to it though... Thanks.

Shield players everywhere are thanking you Marco. But quick question. I get the math and all with the Damage Resilience vs. Shield health but for D3 users isnt overall shield health (up time) the overall goal? Seems a bit risky waiting till the last health segment to proc these bonuses.

i feel like they should make Alfa Bridge to where you share all 3 talents again because that was never the issue in 1.5 it was uncomplicated now that thats fixed it should be ok. 5% damage plus 1 extra talent does not compete with other good builds like mc gloves benshee

Helicopter turret in clear scy and turrets in Falcon Lost - bullet damage or exotic damage?

Ok, this is directed towards the community of Division. I've played Division lots on multiple platforms. I stopped playing as my mates stopped and still love this game. I looked at the player count on Xbox, PS4 and PC. It's safe to say the player count has dropped, only about 5000 players are on per day on PC, and 10k on Xbox with 15 - 20k on PS4... Be honest... is this game dieing? What do you think? I'm not hating on Division, I understand it gets hate but I still like the game, just contemplating whether to play more.

Damage resistance is capped at 60% not 75 anything over is a waste or is lost. can look this up on Google hard caps and soft caps on a reddit link. This is where I go to adjust and create my builds. there hasn't been an update buffing weapon resistance/ damage resilience.

What about hunters faith 4 piece talent? Or battle buddy character talent?

Settle down children, it's time for Maths with Marco!

Being a tank died when stamina was nerfed, meaning it's all about survivability. People die at the same rate as everyone else so it's all about who can proc all their talents to survive longer in a fight. A true tank is someone that doesn't rely on talents and buffs to tank but, rather just his/her raw stats of armor and health. Hopefully stamina gets a rework that adjust to what fits in our way of playing.

These videos are great.

2 things: 1. There 2 similar stats in the game: "Exotic damage resilience" and "All resistance" (that were implemented instead of armor rolls in 1.6). Why the hell they made a 2 the same stats? >< 2. About Ballistic shield. Shiled HP mods has a bigger value. I.e. I have 4 mods by 7%, that is equal to 28% extra shield HP. Shiled resilience mods has only 5% as max, so it will be 20% extra damage resilience. SO what is better: 28% extra HP with 10% resilience or just 30% resilience? In your example at 9:50 there is no info about mods, also the right guy are using blue ult. It would be nice to have tests: HP mods vs Resilience mods in seberal different, but always equal conditions: with no extra buffs, with crit save, with booster shot, with blue ult, with all of them. Okay What PVE talents should I have on a gun? What PVP talents should I have on a gun What gearset is the best to work around toughness but having 6k firearms, 5.5k+ electronics, and 2.8-3k stamina.

So for my gear attributes should I spec into health or all damage resistance?

Question, if max armour adds to toughness 5%, and toughness is a curve, doesnt it count for more with the other buffs (crit save, on the move, booster), I mean its a 5% push closer to the high end of the curve where it matters more.

Can you do one for useful weapon talents for skill builds. Seem too many rely on getting a kill which is hard when dps out damage me when i am support with the heal + heal/support/pulse etc. Only thing that looks useful is cadeceus.

You might of explained it in the video but I can't remember a word of what you said...all damage resilence, how else can you get it besides the booster shot and poping a medkit at low health. I feel this is why a burst MP5 can take me down with one burst it's frustrating

Armor is just too too low to really take advantage of any special tips. Now if it was a case where armor caps off at 35% by gear standards but anything additional could still be applied then yes, that would be great. And a lot of stuff is also best in slot at this point where it would be foolish to swap out this for damage resistance when it's only going to decrease the time to kill in your favor by fractions of a second

I use dead eye and mobile cover and a quick break down of adr with mobile cover would be great please.

I don't understand why Massive decided to nerf armor, remove the armor rolls from gear and replace it with extremely high health rolls whole simultaneously nerfing stamina rolls by half per point. Massive wanted people to be able to use major attributes other than armor but now we're stuck in the same problem with health rolls for our major attributes. Why not make stamina 30 health per point again and remove health rolls on gear so we can actually use other major attributes and invest into stamina in order to be tanky?

I miss having 700 k toughness with tactician hybrid
