"I OWNED THIS CAR FOR 13 YEARS AND IT STARTED WITH JUST WANTING TO THROW A SMALL PULLY AND SOME EXHAUST ON IT " !! That line right there is the Sh*t ! Horsepower is without a doubt a sickness in my world so i can relate to that story ! lol. Anyways i love the channel man, i have learned so much from it i really have, so Thank You for That , and without a doubt just a beautiful car!
Badass first car I built in High school was a 1994 chevy corsica 2.8 v6 one owner car mint condition low miles old lady owned it after that I got my 2002 grand prix gtp supercharger 3.8 v6 both cars were Maroon kept em clean both actually fun surprisingly the Corsica was pretty quick for a 2.8 v6 but then again it's the baby version of the 3.8 you know what they can do
Imagine saying that a Grand Prix GTP isn't a "real man's car" when it's hands down one of the coolest Pontiacs from the early 2000s ever made and back then you actually had some variety if you wanted a GM sports car Nowadays every other sports car is dead and we're just stuck with the generic Corvettes and Camaros lol people never appreciate what they have until it's gone. 😭
This intro hit me for real. Spent a while looking for my own and last year I finally got me a '00 coupe GTX. I just found your channel and I can't wait to watch more of these videos you got man
listening to your story brought back so many memories. I got an 02 GTP coup brand new as a kid fresh out of highschool. Between the payment and insurance, it was $1k/mo. Every penny I made paid for that thing, but damn I loved it. In a lot of ways it shaped my life, I started dating (my now wife) back then because I was one of the few kids who could afford my own car. I made life long friends who also had grandprix's and we wrenched on them daily. Drove to Ohio for the Intense dragdays, back when zzp was just getting started and Intense was actually a big competitor. I sold that car in 2006 to pay for my own wedding, but it was fully modded, full stack IC, etc... It's crazy to me how much a car can impact your life.
Man I wish they would put this in a video game. My first car is a 2000 GT Coupe and I'm going to make mine look exactly like this. Youve done it perfectly
Happy for you bro!! since I have been back on your PAGE, I got the will to get back in one of these cars again! I miss my 2004 COMP G! once again GORGEOUS car!
Great video, I am glad that it all working out for you at the end. You did an amazing job on the build, very clean install. I use to own a 03 GP GT 18" wheels, KYB gas adjust with Eibachs, loved that car and miss it as well. Now I have my dad 98 Bonneville SSEi that has been sitting for 11 years at mom's place 170K. Planning to bring it up to my place some day to get it on the road in behalf of my dad.
I've had Honda's since I was 16 but always had a secret crush on the grand Prix gtp's (and the GTO) I don't even know when I last saw one in person actually but if I could find one I would pick it up. They won't ever build cars like they did from that time period. Badass grand Prix! Cleanest one I've seen I think
OH EM GEE! I would have LOVED to have had all of this done to my GTP when I owned it. I would have gone with a different colour paint mind you, but that's neither here nor there. What a sweet build dude, I LOVE IT!
Thats cool man. Glad you stuck with it. Love you have an Olds flag up there too. I love Buick , Olds and Pontiacs. I have had quite a few Oldsmobiles, still have my 87 442. Have a Bonne SSEi and a 17 Buick GS AWD. Love the name and why. Thats crazy the VIN ends with 666. Your car looks awesome and your story is very inspiring. Way to go, dude!
One of the best looking cars ever built. Wish they were rwd for the obvious reasons but then they wouldn’t probably be as cool because now there rare to find. Nice ride brother
I've always LOVED the grandprix. My mom bought one brand new back in the day this body style and I though we was pimping Rollin around in it haha. I had a grand am GT and that mf would scoot
OK what transmission did you use? Is that, that Volvo transmission? I think I also heard of a fiero being uses but if so on either I know it's possible if you drive like you spent more that the cost of an additional car + insurance to craft, probably won't be hard on the trans. But if not did you have to tech as well as reinforce? Or nope it all craft and rework? Sorry so many questions.
Hey what kind of fuel pump are you running? Also I have a na 3800 pontiac bonneville I thought about having a 4t80e transmission swap into it. Then build the engine up and put a turbo kit on there. My budget would be about 20k?
That's good to know that we are not the only ones who grand prix caught fire lol. I'm in the shower she does first start up without me and forgets the fuel rail to be hooked up. Something wasn't hooked up or grounded so the fuel sparked and caught fire. I could see the top of the motor and engine on fire from where I was being told in the bathroom down the hallways into the garage. Scariest site ever. Car was probably on fire for almost 5 minutes before I gave it a 2 to 3 second squirt which ruined everything that was just cleaned and painted.
Mine went ever be this clean but I gotta know how you did it bro... I'm about to top swap mine and was supposed to be a toss in now it's getting prepared for paint....
As soon as I get the funds im going to be boosting my 2000 lesabre and have the ultimate sleeper. Im going to redo the whole engine and have faily new/built transmission
Never owned one of these but always thought they were some of the baddest cars ever made, they look amazing. Always break my neck on them if I see one out in the wild The last 3 of the VIN 😂😂😂 fuckin a
I think it's cool that you picked a car that isn't common! Now days those people probably grew up and think it's cool. I didn't love these when I was younger and look at me now, following your channel :P.
Getting time 2 scarp grandprix, hot lookung car that'll almost out handle any car at speeds ove 90 but no more proper fitting parts available for these anymore without some bullshit modification to them, i just dont got the time nor patience for it, in my forties but im much weaker and dont patience anymore to keep goin with some fkn car i can bearly drive since these god dam fkn aftermarket parts never fit anymore
What's the deal with red vehicles having 666 in the vin. I had a red 92 mazda pickup in high school with 666 in the vin. We didn't know it, but it seemed like the truck was just jinxed the whole time i had it. Finally, after the 3rd trip to the body shop, only one was my fault. the rest were other people hitting it. Our body shop guy, who was a family friend said hey i think i figured out what's up with this red truck. Then, he shows us the vin. I traded the truck in on an iroc z and, a few months later, saw the new owner in a fender bender at the mall. That thing was jinxed.
@hand12u I'm a foxbody guy but I respect all cool, and I respect folks who break the norm. Just like your choice in cars. My pops had one of those Buick regal gs cars. Was pretty much a 4 door version of your gtp Pontiac. He did the fully change and stuff also. It was fast as hell for what it was.
So what’s hellbois current qtr?? Mad respect bruh. You sir are helping me understand the 60 degree family especially big poppa 3800. 05 grand am se with goalto GT body clone and 3800/5spd swap… for now 😂🫡
@WilliamMatthews-yu1hf no good times only went once with this setup and I was on air ride worst thing ever wheel hop so bad I thought I broke something vid on the channel
