Some other nifty things to keep in mind: Nadir Servant and Titaniklad can also search/summon an Albaz, DO NOT SUMMON IT TO THE FIELD if you used the spell or Maximus to add it, as you will NOT get the option to fuse off an opponent's monster if you do so(which is the main reason to bring it on the field). Titaniklad sent to grave through other means than those will work fine though. Ecclesia only locks you out of ED if you use the search, if you just need an extra body for extra deck plays(or already have the rest of them in your hand for some reason) you can opt out of searching. This one also has battle protection against EDs, which has some niche utility for walling. Maximus can banish an Extra Deck monster to special summon itself, if that monster's something important to reuse you can run Deep Sea Prima Donna in your Extra Deck to get it out of the banish pile when that's dumped by Maxiumus. Also Psy-Framelord Omega can bring itself and another monster back to the deck if you find yourself wanted to dump multiple times with Maximus without cutting into your primary Extra Deck monsters(or to potentially recycle them). Like Ecclesia, Fluerdelis can special itself if either side has an Extra Deck monster. Unlike Ecclesia, you can do this on the opponent's turn so you can do something like summon it in conjuction with a Crystron Halqifibrax's Banish Syncrho into Formula Synchron to get a card, and Synchro both off into a Baronne de Fleur for a surprise negate. Also these Dogmatikas are all spellcasters so you can do that Selene into Accesscode thing with them if 3 spells are in the GYs, assuming you haven't already used the effects that lock you out of your Extra Deck.
Being spellcaster also enables Secret Village of the Spellcasters, and Ecclesia also somehow have synergy with the Charmer’s field spell (that negates the first monster effect of the opponent like Magician’s right/left hand - these are also options if you wanna play floodgate/stun heavy Dogmatika, which is another thing this archetype has synergy with)
Even though I've seen these cards fairly often in Master Duel, having a bit more in depth of an explanation like this in such an easy to digest format definitely helps to understand the flow of them together.
Also, one of the best Punishment targets is Psy-Framelord Omega, especially if you're using the Dogmatika Engine to kill your opponent's Extra Deck since it can recycle itself and Elder Entity N'tss.
A small Shaddoll Engine alternative cheat: if you can make Construct and use it as material for another summon, such as with Shaddoll Fusion, you can basically do the same thing where you send Schism to the GY and retrieve it with a Construct from the GY, while also putting a Shaddoll monster in the GY. If you use a main deck Shaddoll as one of the materials, that's another GY effect to proc - and what if your other material also had a GY effect too? Remember: Construct needs a Light monster while Winda needs a Dark monster. There are Shaddoll Dark monsters such as Shaddoll Beast, but Titaniklad also works as a Dark material, and the Dogmatikas all happen to be Light monsters, so are Eldlich and the Golden Lands, while Aleister, Albaz, and the main deck Despias are all Dark This is one more reason why Dogmatika Invoked Eldlich Shaddolls is a surprisingly synergistic set, I've splashed Despia into it with success but I want to also try splashing Branded into it
Where were you all this time? I've been looking for proper targets to send to gy, specially light and earth, for a Shaddoll deck feat Krawlers (work in progress), as both Shadoll fusion and Krawler Dendrite sends monsters like Foolish burial does So far my light targets are Driver (Yeah the garnet for Gamma, as you don't have monsters when you use Shaddoll fusion), Snow, and Trick clown, and for earth only Dotscaper, so if you know of other targets, I'll be thankful
@@Jyxero unfortunately, you just mentioned everything else that I know can be used for Light and Earth materials that's generic enough Otherwise I'd have to dip into niche support, such as Mezuki
So much potential for a series like this. Clown-Blade, Fluffal Wings draw, Ancient Gear, Halq-Auroradon, Brilliant Fusion, Super Quant (the Monarch version), Orcust, Bardich/Fog Blade, the BA loop, Zoo, etc.
I really like this. Although the dogmatika engine is one I’m already very familiar with, I’d love to see more videos like this explaining other engines
This is spectacular! What a concise and easy to follow description of such an important meta engine! And a couple of counters too, for people playing against it and recommendations of where to play it? DuelLogs I think this is the best idea you've ever had and I highly recommend keeping this sort of video going. It's SO helpful!
Great video! I'd been thinking for a while that it'd be really cool for somebody to make this kind of series to help players keep up with the meta or returning players. Looking forward to more!
Dogmatikas also have an equip spell that sends a monster from your Extra Deck to the GY when destroyed, but honestly the only other thing it does is boost or lessen ATK, so it gives less mileage than the other Dogmatikas Some of the other Dogmatikas, such as Adin, can be used as extra materials when climbing Extra Deck monsters without locking you out of the Extra Deck, but you don't get as much versatility as you would with Fleurdelis White Knight and White Relic of Dogmatika are both powerful Ritual monsters...but they're Ritual monsters. Yeah. Also, the non-human Dogmatikas are actually the Despia monsters in disguise, and the human ones left the Dogmatikas to join the Swordsouls, (For example: Iris is actually Fleurdelis with her armor off) while Ecclesia basically just tagged along with Albaz
I'm curious, what is considered so bad about the Ritual mechanic? I main a Fluffal deck (a fusion deck) which kinda works the same way: you need a specific spell (Poly), and two kinds of monsters (a Fluffal + an Edge Imp). As long as the ritual spell + the monsters are searchable, is it really that bad compared to a fusion mechanic that trades a 3 for 1 ?
Also 3 for 1, except that 1 also needs to be searched and that drawing only the ritual monster or spell without the other and without enough materials bricks hard You are literally playing an engine that can search out Poly + its materials easily and has enough varied fusions for most combinations of materials, but Rituals need to have the materials be the right number level for the target, and you generally can't just fill the deck with enough ritual monsters for every combination of materials, because they're in the main deck which you draw from - and drawing multiple ritual targets without the spell often bricks hard. At least with Fusions, there are archetypes that already have their own functions outside of being Fusion materials, such as Eldlich and Shaddolls, and they're in the Extra Deck, so they're always ready when you have the materials to use them and you can't draw them at a horrible moment
@@soren5021 ritual monsters need(a specific ritual spell, specific ritual monster and monsters that have equal or exceed to summon it) and all of that would mostly cost at least -3 card advantage unlike fusion where you have different type of poly that can use gy or deck as materials and super poly being a card that can clutch you some games because there're alot of good targets (mainly starving venom and mud dragon) while only demise and Nephthys can summon their ritual monster from the deck. The fact if the ritual archtype doesn't have any ss themselves or ritual recovery/searchers then they'll see 0 competitive plays which is why konami made Nekroz which made tier 1 during it's heyday. But outside Nekroz and maybe Cyber Angle during 2016,ritual deck never seen outside casual because they have to use Manju as their best search which cost a normal summon to do it so Konami made Implantation, Drytrons and Diviner as generic ritual support but 1 is way too good for supporting ritual monster that it made heralds way too broken that they have to ban Eva and Limited Benten just to stop them to have 4-5 negation every turn and can go around less than than 3 negations with the same results. Ritual archtype have alot of potential to be broken mainly herald and shinobird(their ritual monsters have none targeting bouncing monster or spinning backrow up to 3 and ss lvl4 or lower spirit monster from your hand(shinobaron) or deck(shinobaroness) which mostly either amano iwato for complete monster lockdown outside spirit monster or currently yata for potentially yatalock if i already got amano on the field) but for how much specific cards you need on your hand made it hard to use extra deck plays at all outside drytrons like if you use ritual then you have to commit only main deck and extra deck only for dogmatika engine or diviner,at least if you use fusion, you can use xyz or link summon if you don't have specific material for your fusion summon or currently don't have poly on your hand
@@soren5021 also i'm still trying to made shinobird deck working though all of their main deck monster just terrible outside the rituals so i have to use impcantation(not drytron because they lock you down ss monster outside cards that cannot normal/set which made their ss effect being useless though they're way easier to ritual summon in there and none of their effect is opt so as long your can ritual summon another copy by tribute it for drytron and getting their ritual spell to reuse it) They have alot of potential and i hope there're more than good lvl 4 spirits so i can made shinobird finally viable at first turn instead of 2nd turn only deck
Didn't know you had this side channel; I'm glad it popped in my recommended feed. I must say I like this "X Explained Very Quickly and Easily" format. It actually does that. Most articles/videos I find just list all the cards in an archetype and some basic combos. Yours goes a bit more in depth.
I've been waiting for videos like this for years! Your explanations are always so pleasant to listen to, and I absolutely learned a lot through this video! I hope to see more videos like this that explain convenient engines, as this really helps with deck building!
As someone that hasn't played Yu-Gi-Oh since the GBA games, this is potentially a really helpful resource for newcomers / returning players. Picking up Master Duel and having to essentially learn all the new mechanics on my own has been an arduous task...
I love this kind of videos. You should make this a series in your main channel. I play at locals from time to time but never have time to keep up with the meta. You always make quality videos and I feel that if you make this kind of explanation videos a lot of people that don’t play as often or are just coming back to the game could keep up with the meta and have a fighting chance with whatever deck we are playing.
Nice! I'm trying to build a dogmatika gravekeeper deck for fun so this video is really helpful. I think this kind of short informative review can be a good series.
Man, it's wild thinking that these last two days I was thinking about putting the Dogmatika engine in my deck because I saw it from you... And then you put this out lol Thank you always for all the interesting info, mr DuelLogs of the DuelLogs channel, you make getting into this hame easier and more fun for everybody!
This helped me understand the dogmatika package, but inadvertently, you explained the whole shaddoll package to me because I never understood it period. Thanks man :)
This would be a very good section of the main channel besides the top 10 explaining all important engines. currently legal or the engines that were the most important in yugioh's history
I remember hearing you say that you dont do archetype explanations because of the length that the videos would be, so im very happily surprised to see you doing this. I hope it wasnt too hard to make for you, because i for one would love to see more content like this!
This is honestly great content material and i even think should go on the main channel. Lot of Yugitubers spout stuff that usually requires knowledge on previous unique archtypal mechanic or jusy combo videos that it could be overwhelming
Please do more of these videos, i mean every player is pretty familiar with dogmatika but sometimes i have to read opponents engine cards because ive never seen them
This is hugely helpful to returning players like me who are trying to still implement some of our old favorites with some real competitive combos! I would love to see this become a series!
Dunno if you're just testing this type of thing out but I think it would be a great addition to your catalog of stuff. These kind of videos are insanely valuable!
This was super helpful. A lot "how to play" videos on YT are just someone winning a fame with no explanation. Getting back I to the game I feel lost looking for an explanation on newer, meta cards.
I'm trying to get back into Yugioh via Master Duel and this has been helpful. I have all of these cards and have been told to put them in my deck because of their potential. As a guy who's currently playing Invoked Shaddolls, this really does sound great now
